MARY LOU DANIELS
Services for Mary Lou Daniels, 70, of Plymouth, were held April 25 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with the Rev. Doc Ortman officiating.
Mrs. Daniels was born Aug. 11, 1931 in Detroit and died April 22 in Northville Township. She was a retired insurance agent for Farmer's Insurance in Farmington Hills. She came to the Plymouth community in 1998 from Northville. She loved playing cards, traveling and reading. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Daniels, Sr., and son, Richard Daniels.
Survivors include daughter, Deborah Silagy-Davis of Redford; son, Bob (Donna) Daniels of Brighton; son, Dennis Daniels of South Lyon; son, James (Cheryl) Daniels of Dearborn; and son, Michael Daniels of Redford; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Society of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Inc., The Woodholme Medical Bldg., 1838 Greene Tree Rd., Suite 515, Baltimore, Md. 21208.

JENS ELLSWORTH SANDELL
Services for Jens Sandell, 77, of Plymouth, were held recently. Mr. Sandell was born Jan. 29, 1925 in Staten Island, N.Y. and died April 21 in Plymouth.
He retired from Beefsteak Charlie's in New York. He came to the Plymouth community in 1993 from New York. He loved baseball. He was a dedicated uncle and great uncle.

DORIS J. MALIK
Services for Doris Malik, 78, of Plymouth, were held recently. Mrs. Malik was born April 25, 1923 in Sumpter Township and died April 21 in Livonia.
Mrs. Malik was a homemaker. She was a life-long Plymouth resident. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1941. Her hobby was square dancing and round dancing.
Memorial contributions may be made to Angela Hospice in Livonia.

NORMA EVELYN DITTMER
Services for Norma Dittmer, 99, of Plymouth were held April 25 at Glen Eden Cemetery with the Rev. Peter Berg officiating. Burial was at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia.
Mrs. Dittmer was born June 19, 1902 in Ft. Recovery, Ohio and died April 24 in Plymouth. She was a homemaker. She came to the Plymouth community in 1957 from Detroit. She was a member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth. She was very active in the church and enjoyed doing volunteer work in her younger days. She enjoyed shopping, crocheting, and bowling.
Survivors include son, Roger E. Dittmer of Plymouth; grandchildren, Kevin R. Dittmer of Camden, Mich.; Daryl E. Dittmer of Boston, Mass.; and Melinda-Lou (Blaine E.) Suliman of Grass Lake; great-grandchildren, Stevie Jett Suliman and Ella Saultman; and sister, Gloria Geisen of Falls Church, Va.

MARK O. MILLER
Services for Mark Miller, 54, of Canton, were held April 20 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Wayne with the Rev. Robert Schultz officiating. Burial was at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery in Perrysburg, Ohio.
Mr. Miller was born Oct. 18, 1947 and died April 18. He was an operations consultant.
Survivors include wife, Nannette Miller; daughters, Christian, Adrianne and Leanna; and brothers Roland (Eva) Miller and Edward (Terry) Miller.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stephens Ministry at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Wayne or the American Cancer Society.

THELBERT SMITH
Services for Thelbert Smith, 97, of Plymouth, were held April 20 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Bryan officiating. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
Mr. Smith was born Dec. 23, 1904 in Obion County, Tenn. and died April 17 in Ann Arbor. He was a factory worker at Associated Spring and Axle Company for 15 years (Barnes, Gibson, Raymond Group) in Plymouth Township. He also worked at the bomber plant in Ypsilanti.
He came to the Plymouth community in 1943 from Obion County, Tenn. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plymouth since 1953. He was a member of the UAW. He loved to garden and work on cars.
Survivors include sons, James (Lou Ann) Smith of Livonia and Jerry (Patricia) Smith of Plymouth; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, William Dolly of Obion County. Tenn.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

LINDA JOY ROWLAND
Services for Linda Rowland, 54, of Plymouth Township were held April 23 at the chapel of L.J. Griffin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rowland was born Jan. 3, 1948 in Canada and died April 20 in Plymouth Township. She worked as an administrative coordinator for Johnson Controls.
Mrs. Rowland was preceded in death by her father, Al Lynas.
Survivors include husband, Christopher C.; daughter, Erin (Cameron) McLean; son, Ian (Melissa); mother, Joy Lynas; and grandson, Matthew.

WILLIAM P. MATHERS
Services for William Mathers, 85, of Ohio were held April 21 at Vermeulen Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Bryan officiating. Burial was at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley.
Mr. Mathers was born Feb. 2, 1917 in Detroit and died April 18 in Dublin, Ohio. He was a band director.
Mr. Mathers was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce E. Mathers.
Survivors include son, Bradley R. (Charlotte) Mathers of Dublin, Ohio; daughter, Lorraine J. (Ralph) Brickman of Canton; grandchildren, Scott Brickman, Victoria, Elicia Tapani, Karen and Jonathan; and great-grandchildren, Aleena and Emma Tapani.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 17220 W. Twelve Mile, Suite 100, Southfield, MI 48076.

JEROME J. STASZEL
Services for Jerome Staszel, 61, of Plymouth, were held April 20 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with the Rev. Doc Ortman officiating.
Mr. Staszel was born Nov. 7, 1940 in Detroit and died April 17 in Livonia. He worked for Edfri Industries in Livonia as a tool and die maker for 11 years. He came to the Plymouth community in 1966 from Detroit. He was in the Marine Reserves. He was an avid baseball fan and player.
Survivors include wife, Barbara of Plymouth; son, Jerome (Amy) Staszel, Jr. of Brighton; daughters, Shelly (John) Watkins of Shelby Township and Jennifer (Andrew) Manriquez of Colorado; four grandchildren; two sisters; and two brothers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family. A memorial fund to be established at a later date.
