SHIRLEY GRAY JR.
Services for Shirley Gray Jr., 73, of Manchester, Ky., formerly of Redford, were April 28 from Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, Ky., with burial at Manchester Memorial Garen in Manchester, Ky.
Mr. Gray died April 25, 2002, in Kentucky.
Survivors include his daughters, Brenda McPherson, Susan Syjud and Cynthia Gray; son, Kevin Gray; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Preceding Mr. Gray in death were his sons, David and Gary.

CHARLES FRANKLIN LITTLE
Services and intermenty for Charles Little, 93, of Livonia, formerly of Redford were Wednesday, May 1, at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Thomas Eggebeen officiating.
Mr. Little was born Aug. 10. 1908 in St. Thomas, Ontario and died April 29, 2002, in Commerce Township.
He was the manager of fine paper products at Beecher, Peck and Lewis, where he had worked for nearly 48 years.
Survivors include a sister, Marion Little of Livonia, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Beatrice in 1998.

WILLIAM ROGER CARDWELL
Services for William Roger Cardwell, 71, of Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of Redford and Romeo, will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S. Fourth in Ann Arbor. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the funeral home.
Mr. Cardwell was born Jan. 27, 1931, and died April 26, 2002. He was an engineer.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline; son, Roger D. (Christine) Caldwell; daughter, Rosemarie Caldwell; stepson, David W. (Deborah) Swan; stepdaughter, Lynne A. (Linda) Swan; brother, Donald D. Polsdorfer and several grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

EMMA DEPOTTEY
Services for Emma Depottey, 94, of Farmington were Monday, April 22, from Lola Park Lutheran Church in Redford.
Mrs. DePottey died April 19, 2002.
Survivors include her son, Ronald Keith (Carol) Sr., sister, Martha Ward and brother, Bruno Takala; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Renzo.
Harry J. Will Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

AGNES J. JOHNSON
Private cremation rites have been accorded for Agnes J. Johnson, 91, of Redford.
Mrs. Johnson was born May 27, 1910 in Denmark and died April 27, 2002, at Botsford Hospital.
She was a dressmaker for the retail industry.
She is survived by one sister and nephew, Carl C. Jorgensen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sven.
L.J. Griffin Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

JOHN C. WESTERDALE
Memorial services are pending for John C. Westerdale, 89, of Farmington Hills.
Mr. Westerdale was born March 19, 1913 in Chicago and died Saturday, April 27 in Farmington Hills.
He was the founder of General Oil Company, an industrial oil recycling firm based in southeast Michigan and with facilities and offices in Livonia, Redford and Northville.
Survivors include his sons, Timothy and Thomas; sister, Harriet Johnston;seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Lynch & Sons Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Cremation rites were accorded.

ROSS T. BERTRAM
Services for Ross Bertram, 76, of Redford were April 16 in Josanna Tabor Lutheran Church. Officiating was the Rev. Lawrence Witto.
Mr. Bertram was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Detroit, and died April 12, 2002, in Farmington Hills. He was a police officer.
Surviving are his wife, Annabel; son, Timothy (Kathy) Bertram; daughters, Heidi (Larry) Dudley and Holli (Scott) Swanson; and 21 grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Neely-Turowski Funeral Home.

LORETTA VIRGINIA HOLMES
Services for former Livonia resident Loretta Holmes, 70, of New Port Richey, Fla. were in Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Home in New Port Richey, Fla. with burial at Trinity Cemetery, Trinity, Fla.
Mrs. Holmes was born June 23, 1931, in East St. Louis, Ill., and died March 27, 2002, in New Port Richey, Fla. She moved to Livonia, in 1934, and attended Clarenceville Schools. In 1963 she moved to Garden City, where she raised her family, returning to Livonia in 1980, until retiring and moving to Florida in 1987.
Mrs. Holmes was a homemaker, active figure skater, a member of the Garden City Women's Synchronized swimming team, an accomplished oil painter and loved gardening. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Garden City and also the First Baptist Church of New Port Richey, Fla.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Vernon; sons, Larry (Denise) Holmes of Redford Township and Allan Holmes of Cleveland, Tenn.; daughter, Vicky Parsley of Cleveland, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Holmes was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Holmes (1971), father, Ortwin Arndt (1980) and mother, Clara Arndt (1986).
Memorial tributes may be made to Children's Leukemia Society of Michigan.

GRAYCE IRENE OSMAN
Services for Grayce Osman, 90, of Redford Township will 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 16 in Fisher Funeral Home, 24501 Five Mile Road, Redford Township with burial at Glen Eden Cemetery. Visitation is 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 15, in the funeral home.
Mrs. Osman was born Feb. 28, 1912, in Flint, N.Y., and died April 11 in Garden City. She resided in Redford Towhip 35 years.
Surviving are her son, David Dood of Redford Township Township.
Mrs. Osman was preceded in death by her husband, Dorwin, and two brothers.

Florence Banko
Services for Florence Banko, 74, of Livonia were Oct. 5 in St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, with burial at Parkview Cemetery.
Mrs. Banko was born June 8, 1928, in Hamtramck, and died Oct. 3, 2002, at her home in Livonia. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her children, Peter (Karen), Patrice (Frank) Waite, Pamela and Paul; brother, Edward (Delphine) Wolk; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Arrangements were made by L.J. Griffin Funeral Home.

Verne E. Keeth
Verne Keeth, 93, of Westland died Oct. 2, 2002, in Farwell, Mich. Mrs. Keeth was born June 13, 1909, in Detroit. She has lived in this area all her life.
In her later years, she began writing memories of her life in the early 1900s in the Livonia area on the family farm. Several of her stories were published in the Detroit Free Press. She was a secretary and retired from Hawthorn Center in Northville.
Surviving are her sons, Keeth Keeth of Marietta, Ga., Donald (Robbie) Keeth of Plymouth and Michael (Diane) Keeth of Plymouth; daughter, Leslyn (Bud) Young of Farwell; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Keeth was preceded in death by her husband, Vivian; son, James Keeth; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were made by Vermeulen Funeral Home.

Warren F. Volker
Warren Volker, 79, of Farmington died Sept. 14, 2002.
He was a former resident of Redford. He was a member of the Ashlar Masonic Lodge of Detroit.
Surviving are his wife, Lois; daughter, Shirley (Robert) Bryant; brother, Wilbur (Mary) Volker; and sister, Thelma Gerber.
Memorial tributes may be made to Faith Covenant Church of Farmington Hills.
Arrangements were made by Duzak Funeral Home in Detroit.

Mary G. Sinelli
Services for Mary Sinelli, 83, of Redford Township were Sept. 19 in Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church, with burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
Mrs. Sinelli was born Nov. 24, 1918, in Detroit, and died Sept. 15, 2002, in Farmington Hills. She was a homemaker. She lived in Redford Township many years and was a member of Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Florence (Peter) Argenta; sister, Florence (Phil) Arciero; grandchildren, Peter (Nancy), Paul (Michelle), and Maria; and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sinelli was preceded in death by her husband, Baldo; and brothers, Anthony, August, Frank, John and Ralph Leo.
Arrangements were made by Charles R. Step Funeral Home.
