Jean Boland, 79, died April 1, 2002.
Surviving are her brother, Russell (the late Mildred); and nieces and nephews, Laurie, James, Denise, Jeffery and Kevin.
Family members reside in Livonia and Redford.
Ms. Boland was preceded in death by her brother, Murray.
Burial was at Grand Lawn Cemetery, Detroit.

DONALD LOUIS BOCKELMAN
Services for Donald Bockelman, 78, of Redford Township were March 30 in Charles R. Step Funeral Home, with burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield. Officiating was the Rev. James Livingston.
Mr. Bockelman was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Detroit, and died March 26, 2002, in Redford Township. He was a carpenter. He resided many years in this community. He was a member of St. Agatha Church.
Surviving are his wife, Betty; children, John (April), Sharon (Tim) Noonan, Sue (Jeff) Swejkowski and Sandy (Jerry) Lunden; brother, Kenneth; sister, Helen Hickey; and eight grandchildren.
HARVEY G. LENZ, SR.
Services for Harvey Lenz Sr., 84, of Redford Township were March 30 in Charles R. Step Funeral Home. Officiating was the Rev. Larry Austin.
Mr. Lenz was born Jan. 1, 1918, in Detroit, and died March 28, 2002, in Livonia. He was a supplies supervisor. He lived in Redford 50 years.
Surviving are his wife, Myrtle; sons, Harvey Jr. and Bill (Cathy); brother, Earl (Marilyn) Lenz; sister, Dorothy Mielke; and grandchildren, James, Patricia (Wayne) DeLong, Ryan and Kristen.
WALTER J. GLUD
Services for Walter Glud, 84, of Redford Township were April 2 in St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, with burial at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights.
Mr. Glud was born Dec. 18, 1917, in Detroit, and died March 30, 2002, in Redford. He was a millwright for the automotive industry.
Surviving are his wife, Bernice; sons, Norman (Diane), Philip (Marilyn) and Leonard (Bernadette); sister, Helen Chircop; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

ARCHIE PERRY DOBBS
Services for Archie Dobbs, 60, of Garden City were June 7 in Uht Funeral Home with burial at Glenwood Cemetery in Wayne. Officiating was the Rev. Patrick Lowery.
Mr. Dobbs was born Oct. 5, 1941, and died June 3 in Livonia. He was a custodian.
Surviving are his sisters, Stella Lack and Darlene (Eugene) Stec of Livonia; several nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.
There are family members who reside in Westland.
Mr. Dobbs was preceded in death by his sister, Amylee Lack.
WILLIAM C. BOESS
Services for William Boess, 87, of Westland were June 11 in L.J. Griffin Funeral Home with burial at Oakland Hills Memorial Park, Novi. Officiating was the Rev. Wallace Eason from Bible Missionary Church in Lima, Ohio.
Mr. Boess was born Oct. 18, 1914, in Canada and died June 7 in Garden City. He was a buyer for a tractor company.
Mr. Boess is survived by his wife, Priscilla.
BILLIE LOU HOLT
Services for Billie Holt, 79, of Westland were June 10 in Uht Funeral Home. Officiating was the Rev. Rob Joy.
Mrs. Holt was born Feb. 15, 1923, and died June 7 in Ann Arbor due to an accident. She held a secretarial position for several City of Westland offices.
Surviving are her husband, Fred Jr.; sons, William "Bill" (Valerie) Holt and Thomas Holt; daughter, Pamela Holt; sister, Marjorie McGregor; and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her brother, James Maylen.
DONALD JAMES SMITH, SR.
Services for Donald Smith, Sr., 59, of Westland were June 11 in First Congregational Church of Wayne with burial at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West, Westland. Officiating ws the Rev. Rob Joy.
Mr. Smith was born Sept. 13, 1942, and died June 7 in Westland. He was an assembler.
Surviving are his wife, Suzanne; sons, Donald Smith Jr. and Leonard Smith; daughters, Kelly (William) Hall, Karen (Paul) Cutsy and Kathryn (Andrew) Richter; sister, Janet (James) Hickling; and eight grandchildren, Angela, Alex, Adam, Lauren, Travis, Ryan, Seth and Sara.

IDA T. NICK
Services for Ida Nick, 66, of Westland were June 11 in Vermeulen Funeral Home with burial at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dearborn Heights. Officiating was the Rev. Jack H. Baker.
Mrs. Nick was born July 5, 1935, in Detroit and died June 6 in Wayne. She was a teacher's aide for Wayne-Westland schools.
Surviving are her husband, Robert; son, David (Dawn) Nick of Newport, Mich.; brother, Adolph (Florence) Peressini of Troy; and four grandsons, Jim, Mark, Joseph and Dustin. Six nieces and nephews also survive.
NORA BAUER
Services for Nora Bauer, 44, of Lincoln Park were June 10 in Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Superior Township. Officiating was Rabbi Joshua Bennett.
Ms. Bauer was born Dec. 24, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio, and died June 7 in Lincoln Park. She was a supervisor for a half-way house in Lincoln Park. She came to Lincoln Park in 2000 from Plymouth.
Surviving are her mother, Bette Kozachenko of Canton; siblings, Lisa (Thomas) Lewandowski of Canton, Frederick Bauer of Farmington Hills and Kimberly Kozachenko of Westland; step-siblings, Kathleen Kozachenko of Pittsburch, Pa., and Keith Kozachenko of Indiana; niece, Alexis Bauer; and nephew, Justin Kozachenko.
Ms. Bauer was preceded in death by her father, Harold Bauer, and stepfathers, Marion Colvin and Walter Kozachenko.
