Mr. Gover was born Dec. 14, 1923 in Detroit and died Sept. 23 at the Farmington Healthcare Center. He was an engineer. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include wife, Lorraine L. Gover of Plymouth; daughter, Renee E. Tipler of Dearborn Heights; son, Keith B. Gover of Plymouth; grandsons, John and Mark Tipler; and great-grandchild, Aaliyah Tipler.

Mr. Friend was born Nov. 11, 1953 in Detroit and died Sept. 24 in Garden City. He was a member of Kirk of Our Savior Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Friend was preceded in death by his father and mother, George (Gertrude) Friend.

Robert R. Fohey
Services for Robert Fohey, 79, of Livonia were held Sept. 27 at the Vermeulen Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack H. Baker officiating. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
Mr. Fohey was born Aug. 9, 1923 in Detroit and died Sept. 23 in Superior Township. He worked for the Wayne County Road Commission, retiring in 1976 from Detroit Metro Airport, Operations Department. He moved to East Tawas, Mich. where he resided for 20 years. Mr. Fohey was in the Coast Guard and served in the Pacific during World War II.
Mr. Fohey was preceded in death by his wife, Irene fohey; brother, Frances Dewayne Fohey; and brother, Donald Fohey.
Survivors include son, Donald (Janice) Fohey of Plymouth; daughter, Christine (Russell) Reum; son, William Fohey; grandchildren, Scott and Kelly Fohey, Jason and Jeremy Swanagan, and Matt and Becky Fohey; and great-grandchild, Jordon Swanagan.

Services for Mary Locascio, 70, of Farmington Hills will be held Sept 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 29200 W. 10 Mile Road, Farmington Hills, with the Rev. Frederick J. Kiettner officiating. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
Mrs. Locascio was born Sept. 13, 1932 in Detroit and died Sept. 26 in Southfield. She had been employed by Michigan Milk Producers as a Lab Technician. She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church.
Survivors include husband, Salvatore "Sam" Locascio of Farmington Hills; son, James Locascio, D.D.S. of White Lake; daughter, Jeanette (Richard) Gohl of Canton; son, Thomas (Deborah) Locascio of Commerce Township; son, Donald (Linda) Locascio of Livonia; and eight grandchildren.

Cecily A. Farragher
Services for Cecila Farragher, 50, of Grand Rapids (formerly of Canton and Westland) will be held Sept. 30 at St. Thomas a'Becket Catholic Church in Canton with the Rev. C. Richard Kelly, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
Ms. Farragher was born April 2, 1942 in Detroit and died Sept. 25 in Grand Rapids, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She leaves behind her legacy in the hundreds of elementary students she taught over the years in Livonia.
Ms. Farragher was preceded in death by parents, Paul (Cecily) Farragher; and sister Paula Lannan.
Survivors include brother-in-law, Michael Lannan of Grand Rapids; nieces ("the lights of her life") Michelle (Grant) Grable of Chicago, Beth (Michael) Bouma of Grand Rapids, Colleen (Gordon) Shields of Grand Rapids, Maureen (Dave) Partlo of Grand Rapids, and Katherine Lannan of Grand Rapids; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mrs. Frances Travis, 88, of Traverse City (formerly of Plymouth) died September 14, 2002 in Traverse City. Mrs. Travis was born Feb. 11, 1914 in Selma Ohio.
Mrs. Travis was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Stanley Travis; and grandchild, Jane Richardson.
Survivors include daughters, Shirley Brinks of Pueblo, Colo., Ellen Tracey of Bellaire, Mich., and Mary Parker of Pasadena, Calif; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
George Wilson Hafer
Services for George Hafer, 93, of Westland, were held Sept. 17 at the Vermeulen Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom C. Hansen officiating. Burial was at United Memorial Gardens in Superior Township.
Mr. Hafer was born Sept. 4, 1909 in Claunch, Ark., and died Sept. 13 in Westland. He was an automotive factory worker and was employed by McCord Corp. for 30 years. During World War II he worked on defense contracts. He loved sports, and had played semi-professional baseball. He also enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include dear wife of 70 years, Hattie Mae; daughter, Betty (John) Cole of Plymouth; sister, Dorothy Carpenter of Ark.; granddaughters, Linda (Dean) Choma of Livonia and Lisa (Kevin) Hille of Plymouth; grandson, John (Ruth) Cole of Ypsilanti; great-granddaughter, Rachael Hille; great-grandson, Joseph Choma; one nephew and one niece.
