RITA J. MACK
Services for Rita Mack, 66, of Plymouth were held April 12 at St. Kenneth Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Mallia officiating. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
Mrs. Mack was born Oct. 15, 1935 in Kingston, Pa., and died April 8 in Livonia. She was a homemaker. She came to the Plymouth community in 1966 from Detroit. She was a member of St. Kenneth Catholic Church in Plymouth. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
Survivors include son, Jim (Dawn) Mack of Westland; son, Larry Mack of Northville; daughter, Joan (Mike) Quigley of Plymouth; daughter, Lori (Rick) Blandford of Canton; and son, Jeff (Maria) Mack of Westland; nine grandchildren; sister, Carol (Brian) Fox of Livonia; and sister, Barbara (Richard) Gdowski of Taylor.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society.

FRANK J. MERCIECA
Services for Frank Mercieca, 74, of Canton were held April 12 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with burial at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Southfield.
Mr. Mercieca was born Jan. 26, 1928 in Detroit and died April 8 in Canton. He was a research and development engineer for Ford Motor Company in Dearborn until retirement. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a classic car enthusiast, loved golf and bowling and was a member of the Maltese Club of Dearborn.
Survivors include wife of 50 years, Jean Mercieca; sons, Robert, Michael, Frank, Mark, and Steven; daughters, Michelle and Christina; brothers, Robert and Joseph; sister, Rita; and 13 grandchildren.

MARVIN ASA SNIDER, JR.
Martin Snider, 78, of Canton died April 11, 2002 in Superior Township.
Mr. Snider was born June 5, 1923 in Delphi, Ind. He worked as a vice president in the food industry.
Survivors include wife, Helen; son, Chip (Diana); three sisters; two brothers; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

ALICIA MARIE BEWERNITZ
Services for Alicia Bewernitz, 27, were held May 13 at St. Genevieve Church in Livonia.
Ms. Bewernitz died suddenly May 8 in Ukiah, Calif.; brothers, Ryan of Clarkston and Daniel of Whitmore Lake; grandparents, Bob (Rene) Fisher of Sarasota, Fla.; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

LARRY W. DENT
Services for Larry Dent, 58, of Northville were held May 11 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with the Rev. James Russell and the Rev. Kent Clise officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
Mr. Dent was born Feb. 6, 1944 in Marked Tree, Kan. and died May 9 in Superior Township. He was a manager/trainer for Federal Express in Farmington Hills for the past 12 years. He was a Lt. Commander in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. He came to the Northville community in 1982 from Arizona and his MBA Degree from Central Arizona; and brother, James (Peggy) Dent of Ohio and died May 14 in Canton Township. He was district manager for the Social Security Administration. He retired after 35 years with the administration. After retirement, he worked for General Filters in Novi. He came to the Plymouth community in the 1960s from Kalamazoo. He served in the armed services during World War II. He was a life-member of the V.F.W. in Northville.
Survivors include wife, Bette Kozachenko-Colvin of Canton Township; daughters, Lori (Brian) Bucalo of White Lake, Nora Bauer of Lincoln Park, Lisa (Thomas) Lewandowski of Canton, and Kimberly Kozachenko of Westland; sons, Jeffrey (Suzanne) Colvin of White Lake and Frederic Bauer of Farmington; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother, Esther Colvin of Finlay, Ohio; and sister, Mary (James) Craven of Tuscon, Ariz.
