Erma Pilch
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 31, at Northville Christian Assembly, 41355 Six Mile Road, Northville at 11 a.m. with burial at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia for Erma Pilch, 76, of Canton, who died Aug. 22 at Angela Hospice in Livonia.
Mrs. Pilch, one of the original residents of Canton Place-Senior Citizens housing complex, was an avid doll collector. She was born Nov. 17, 1925 in Calumet. She was a long-time homemaker in Detroit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Pilch.
Survivors include daughter, Marlene Salinas of Canton; son, Robert Pilch of Lansing; granddaughters, Stefanie and Melanie Pilch of Lansing; grandson, Joseph Salinas of Canton; sisters, Regina Rangus of Livonia, Dorothy Knudsen of Mio and Gertrude Ravi of Livonia; and brother, Herbert Hantke of White Lake.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Pilch's name to Angela Hospice, 14100 Newburgh Road, Livonia, MI 48154-5010.
Darrell D. Allen
Services for Darrell Allen, 82, of Superior Township were held Aug. 17 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with the Rev. Doc Ortman officiating. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
Mr. Allen was born April 5, 1920 in Goodland, Kan., and died Aug. 14 at Arbor Hospice. He was in sales.
Survivors include wife, Mary K. Allen of Superior Township; daughter, Carleen (John) Lenders of Plymouth; daughter, Karen (Charles) Gulotta of San Diego, Calif.; son, David (Cindy) Allen of Plymouth; daughter, Judy (Bruce) Edwards of Pennsylvania; son, Garry M. Allen of Canton; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

James Michael Cleveland
Services for James Cleveland, 64, were held Aug. 20 at St. Thomas a'Becket Church with burial at Parkview Cemetery.
Mr. Cleveland was born in 1938 in Detroit and died Aug. 17. He was a hi-lo driver.
Survivors include wife, Lillian; daughter, Nancy (Lou) Jaber; and sons, James (Patricia) Cleveland and Kurt Cleveland.

Richard William Hall
Services for Richard Hall, 74, of Plymouth were held Aug. 19 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy G. Forsyth officiating. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
Mr. Hall was born Aug. 5, 1928 in Detroit and died Aug. 16 in Superior Township. He was a retired foreman for General Motors Corporation. He worked at the Powertrain Plant in Romulus. He came to the Plymouth community in 1966 from Dearborn Heights. He liked to golf, hunt and travel to Las Vegas. He was a loving father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Hall.
Survivors include son, Richard (Kim) Hall II of Plymouth; daughter, Pamela (Frank) Grzelak of Milan; grandchildren, Brandon and Jennifer Grzelak and Isabell and Liam Hall.

Lila Lucille Aluia
Services for Lila Aluia, 75, of South Lyon (formerly of Plymouth) were held Aug. 19 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with Mr. Sanford Burr officiating. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
Mrs. Aluia was born Dec. 22, 1926 in Dearborn and died Aug. 15 in Ann Arbor. She worked at Michigan Bell Telephone Company as a telephone operator until her marriage to William in 1947. She was raised in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1944. She enjoyed reading, baking and cooking. She also was the caregiver for her husband when he was ill. She enjoyed writing stories and poems for her grandchildren.
Mrs. Aluia was preceded in death by her husband, William and son, William.
Survivors include daughter, Linda Boston of DeWitt; son, David (Claudia) Aluia of Houghton Lake; grandchildren, Dena, Matthew, Derek, Nathan and Kelly; great-grandchildren Christian, Aiden, and Mia; and brother, Al (Mary) Gruett of St. Louis, Mich.

William Arthur Robinson
Services for William Robinson, 97, of Plymouth were held Aug. 16 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Carr officiating. Burial was at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia.
Mr. Robinson was born July 11, 1905 in Brantford, Ontario, Canada and died Aug. 14 in Plymouth. He was an accountant for the Burroughs Corporation for 35 years and then he was an accountant for the City of Livonia for 10 years. He came to the Plymouth community in 1980 from Livonia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite; and brother, Norton Robinson.
Survivors include sons, William (Mary Jane) Robinson of Plymouth; and John (Maureen) Robinson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; grandchildren, Georgia Sanders, Jacqueln O'Connor, Victoria Smith, William Robinson, Elizabeth Richardson, Molly Bixler, James Robinson, Marguerite Pietrowski, John Keough, Patti English and Laurie Gumerson; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Joan E. Strautz
Services for Joan Strautz, 72 , of Henderson, Nev. (formerly of Plymouth) were held Aug. 16 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with Mr. Sanford Burr officiating. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
Mrs. Strautz was born Feb. 9, 1930 in Detroit and died Aug. 8 in Nevada. She was married in Plymouth and during the 43 years she lived in Plymouth, Joan created a loving home environment for her family where she raised six wonderful children. In 1996 she and her husband retired to Nevada, and built a new home.
Survivors include husband, Bill; son, Mark (Brooke) Strautz of Austin, Texas; daughter, Randa (Tom) Williams of Plymouth; son, William Strautz, Jr. of Chicago; daughter, Penny Leroue of Littleton, Colo.; son, Perry (Debbie) Strautz of Livonia; and daughter, Kelly Strautz of Beverly Hills, Mich.; and grandchildren Shelly and Ryan Williams of Plymouth, Matthew and Kenneth Leroue of Littleton, Colo.; and Joshua, Brandon and Allie Strautz of Livonia.

Kenneth E. Fisher
Services for Kenneth Fisher, 82, of Canton were held Aug. 13 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Deborah Leach and Dr. Robert Selberg officiating. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
Mr. Fisher was born Aug. 29, 1919 in Plymouth and died Aug. 11 in Dearborn. He was the former police chief and fire chief of Plymouth. He also was a former city manager. He was Director of Public Safety and a life-long Plymouth resident. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Plymouth (50 years), Past Commander of the Mayflower-Lt. Gamble Post 6695; a World War II veteran; president of the Michigan Police Chiefs; member of the Plymouth Rotary Club, the Plymouth Optimist Club and the Plymouth Rock Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, grouse hunting, golfing, gardening and bowling. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren.
Survivors include wife, Alice Fisher of Canton; daughter, Susan (Michael Petrylka) Fisher of Plymouth; son, James C. (Donna) Fisher of Alanson, Mich.; grandchildren, Jason Edward Fisher of Alanson, Ryan Paul Fisher of Harbor Springs, and Alysyn J.F. Petrylka of Plymouth; great-granddaughter, Alanna Ross of Alanson; two nieces and their children also survive.

Clyde J. Ayers
A memorial service for Clyde Ayers, 74, of Plymouth will be held Aug. 28 at Faith Lutheran Church in Highland, Mich..
Mr. Ayers died Aug. 15 at Harper Hospital. He was a retired certified public accountant.
Survivors include wife, Rena Ayers; daughters, Lora, Jodie, Michele, Mary, Karen, Debbie, Pattie and Joan; sons, Roy, Bill, Clyde and Dean; 23 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
