Robert Joseph Kos
Services for Robert Kos, 66, of Plymouth were held July 19 at the Vermeulen Funeral Home with Rev. D.J. West officiating. Burial was at Acacia Park Cemetery in Beverly Hills.
Mr. Kos was born Feb. 2, 1936 in Detroit and died July 15 in Plymouth. He lived in Plymouth for the past 13 years, after spending several years in Charlotte, N.C. and Atlanta, Ga. He received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Detroit. He retired from the Ford Motor Company, where he was an accountant. Mr. Kos enjoyed reading and travel, as well as home rebuilding and remodeling. He was the proud father of four children and six grandchildren.
Survivors include wife, Betty P. Phillips of Plymouth; sons, Philip M. (Kathy) Kos of Livonia, Jeffrey M. (Sheryl) Phillips of Plymouth, and Mark R. (Julie) Phillips of Redford; daughter, Lynn M. (John) Thiry of Whitmore Lake; brothers, Leonard Kos of Los Angeles, Richard Kos of Southgate; sisters, Theresa Kos of Los Angeles and Valerie Routin; granddaughters, Heidi Phillips of Plymouth and Michele Kos of Livonia; grandsons, Jeffry, Brett and Benjamin Phillips of Plymouth, and Daniel Phillips of Redford; and several nieces and nephews.

Darryl Bartlett
Services for Darryl Bartlett, 54, of Wixom will be held July 25 at Phillips Funeral Home in South Lyon.
Mr. Bartlett was born Oct. 6, 1947 in Detroit and died July 21. He lived in Westland before moving to Wixom. He loved sports, spending time at Camp Dearborn in Milford and enjoyed talking to people. One of his favorite sayings was, "He never met a stranger he didn't like."
Survivors include wife, Jenny Bartlett of Wixom; mother, Patricia Bartlett of California; brother, Michael Bartlett of California; stepchildren, Clyde Findley, Donald (LuAnn) Findley of Westland, Debbie Findley of Canton, and Sheri Thieleman of Canton; grandchildren, Tiana, Donald, Tyler, Amber, Amanda, Austin, Dylan and Danielle; and many loving friends.

ROYAL "ROY" D. CLISCH
Services for Roy Clisch, 76, of Nisula, Mich., were held July 3 at the Thayer-Rock Funeral Home in Farmington with the Rev. Frederick Vanhala officiating. Burial was at Nisula Cemetery.
Mr. Clisch was born Aug. 30, 1925 in Alston, Mich. and died July 1 in Livonia.
He was preceded in death by brother, John Clisch.
Survivors include wife, Ellen Clisch; sons, George (Cheryl) Clisch of Flowermound, Texas, Richard (Joyce) Clisch of Canton, James (Linda) Clisch of South Lyon, and Robert (Janet) Clisch of Plymouth; eight grandchildren; and brother, William (Jean) Clisch of Alston, Mich.

CHHABILDAS ASHER
Services for Chhabildas Asher, 84, of Canton Township were held July 3 at the L.J. Griffin Funeral Home Canton Chapel.
Mr. Asher was born Feb. 21, 1918 in India and died July 1 at Annapolis Hospital in Wayne. He worked as an accountant.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Manjula.
Survivors include children, Niranjana Bajaria, Jayshree Asher, Ashwin (Chitra) Asher and Kamlesh (Surekha) Asher; and five grandchildren.

FRANCES M. HILL
Services for Frances M. Hill, 61, of Plymouth will be held July 9 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with the Rev. Drex Morton officiating.
Mrs. Hill was born Sept. 1, 1940 in Caylor, Va. and died July 3 in Plymouth. She was a retired food service worker for the Plymouth Canton school system. She also was a retired community service officer for the Plymouth Township Police Department. She came to the Plymouth community in the early 1960s from Va. She was a Red Cross volunteer. She loved to visit Las Vegas, enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Survivors include husband, Richard Hill of Plymouth; children, Linda (Albert) Gorski of Canton and Sandra Purcell and her fiancee Andrew Bortell of Plymouth; grandchildren, Jessica and Alexandria; and best friend, Irene Kelley of Livonia.

MANFRED KAWAELDE
Services for Manfred Kawaelde, 71, of Northville were held June 29 at Our Saviour Apostolic Lutheran Church with the Rev. Shawn E. Miller officiating. Burial was at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.
Mr. Kawaelde was born Oct. 9, 1930 in Germany and died June 26 in Northville. He lived in Northville for 35 years, previously in Detroit. He was a member of Masons-Signet Star Lodge, Walnut Creek Country Club, SME-Society Manufacturing Engineers, The Eagles Country Club-Florida, German American Culture Center, and the AMBA-American Mold Builders Association, Society Die Cast Engineers. Mr. Kawaelde, a graduate of Lawrence Technological Institute, was the owner of Wixom Products, Inc. for 13 years, and General Manager of Special Machine and Engineering for 31 years. He enjoyed golf, travel, gardening, real estate, cocktails and going up north. He had been a member of Our Saviour Apostolic Lutheran Church for 20 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a successful businessman, loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include wife, Anna Kawaelde; son, Norman (Ilka) Kalwaelde; daughter, Dorothy (Greg) Carlson; and grandchildren, D'Andra, Mikaela and Mitchell.

GEORGE W. HOTCHKIN
Services for George Hotchkin, 92, of Plymouth were held July 1 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Klump officiating. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.
Mr. Hotchkin was born Sept. 30, 1909 in Tecumseh, Neb. and died June 28 in Ann Arbor. He was a tool maker for the Burroughs Corporation, retiring in 1971 after 26 years of service. He also worked at the Plymouth Cultural Center from 1971 to 1996. He and Harriet had been married for 68 years. He came to the Plymouth community in 1930 from Detroit. He was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Plymouth for over 50 years. His family homestead was in Nebraska where he grew up as one of twelve children. He enjoyed woodworking, coin collecting, and gardening. He liked to make pine-cone wreaths and traveling from the east coast to the west coast. He was a great handyman and enjoyed being a "jack of all trades."
Survivors include wife, Harriet of Plymouth; children, Gene (Misako) Hotchkin of Las Vegas, Nev.; Jerry (Lois) Hotchkin of Plymouth, and Janet (Richard) Blaesing of Westland; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

DOUGLAS ARTHUR DUNCAN
Services for Douglas Duncan, 60, of Plymouth Township were held July 3 at L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, Canton Chapel. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
Mr. Duncan was born March 13, 1942 in Detroit and died June 28 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He worked with tool and die in the manufacturing industry.
Survivors include mother, Mildred Duncan; daughter, Dina (Christopher) McCanney; daughter, Darlene (Randy) Blausey; daughter, Debra Parker; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

CORA LEE JASINSKI
Services for Cora Jasinski, 85, of Plymouth were held in Florida. Burial will be at The Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Beverly Hills, Fla.
Mrs. Jasinski was born Jan. 24, 1917 in Huntington, W.Va. and died June 30 in Livonia. She was a homemaker. She came to the Westland/Plymouth community in 1998 from Beverly Hills, Fla. She had lived in Detroit before moving to Fla. in 1971. She was a member of the Beverly Hills Community Church, the "Michigan Club" in Flaorida, T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), and she was very active in her church in Fla. She loved to cook, garden and travel.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Edward.
Survivors include daughter, Jeanette Piwonski of Plymouth; son, Steven Jasinski of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brother, Walter Bragg of Pennsylvania.; and grandchildren, Meredith Elliott of Chicago, Mark Jasinski of Austin, Texas, John Jasinski of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Steven Jasinski of Ft. Worth, Texas.
