Edmund A. Madison
Services for Edmund Arthur Madison, 82, formerly of Farmington Hills, were held Sept. 6 at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home in Farmington with the Rev. Larry Austin officiating. Burial took place at Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit.
Mr. Madison was born March 2, 1920 in Detroit and died Sept. 1, 2002 in Livonia. He owned W.W. Alloys and was a U.S. veteran. He earned a commercial pilot license at age 62.
He is survived by his daughter, Diane (Thomas); brother, John (Mariel); sister, Dorothy Madison; and granddaughter, Carolyn. He is preceded in death by his son, Daniel.

Rudolph Sell
Services for Rudolph "Rudy" Sell, 87, of Farmington Hills, were held Sept. 7 at First Presbyterian Church of Farmington.
Mr. Sell was born Aug. 19, 1915 in Detroit and died Sept. 2, 2002 at Providence Hospital in Southfield. He worked for Michigan Bell as an operator and was a World War II Air Corps veteran. He was active in the Telephone Pioneers and First Presbyterian Church of Farmington. He was a volunteer driver for "Fish" a Christian service group and also volunteered for Little League as a coach, manager and scorekeeper.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie; son, Harvey (Pamela); daughters, Janet and Margaret; brother, George (Ruth); sister-in-law, Frances Merker; and grandchildren, Carrie, Matthew and Alison.

Ellen J. Zurcher
Services for Ellen Jane Zurcher, 84, of Southfield, were held Sept. 7 at Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home in Farmington with the Rev. Hugh McMartin officiating. Burial took place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
Mrs. Zurcher was born July 14, 1918 in Detroit and died Sept. 5, 2002 at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Constance Reed; sons, James (Diane) and Thomas (Michele); sisters, Doris Kokko and Alice Spaulding; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Thomas S. Wallis
Services for Thomas Stanley Wallis, 65, of Au Gres, were held Sept. 6 at the Community United Methodist Church in Standish with the Rev. Devin Chisholm officiating.
Mr. Wallis was born Nov. 9, 1936 in Saginaw and died Sept. 3, 2002 in Au Gres. He earned a bachelor of science in education from Western Michigan University and a master's degree from Eastern Michigan University. He had retired from the Farmington Public School District after 33 years of teaching, coaching and officiating. Mr. Wallis and his wife Ellen moved to Au Gres after his retirement, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and watching freighters on the lake.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen; children, Karen (Jim), Mark (Sheri) and Scott; and grandchildren, Brittnie, Robert and Megan.

Albert A. Junglas
Services for Albert Anton Junglas, 89, of Farmington Hills, were held Aug. 27, at Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in Farmington Hills with the Rev. William Scheffler officiating. Burial took place at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia.
Mr. Junglas was born Feb. 10, 1913 in Hot Springs S.D. and died Aug. 24, 2002 at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills.
He is survived by his wife, Signe; and sisters, Lillian Lobbestael and Ada Muonio.

Selma R. Konkel

Mrs. Konkel was born Feb. 24, 1925 in Detroit and died Aug. 23, 2002 in Farmington Hills.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; daughters, Penny (John) Ping, Patricia (Jerry) Norton and Lisa (Allan) Needleman; sister, Madline (Lee) Parker; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Thomas J. Hankins
Services for Thomas Joseph Hankins, 69, of Farmington Hills, were held Aug. 27 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Dearborn with the Rev. William Brennan officiating.
Mr. Hankins was born Oct. 4, 1932 in Detroit and died Aug. 23, 2002 at Providence Hospital in Southfield. He worked as an inspector for General Motors and was a Korean War veteran. He was also a member of the Livonia VFW Post No. 3941.
He is survived by his sons, Mark, Michael, Jeffrey, Thomas and Charles; daughters, Barbara Birecki, Joanne Hankins and Mary Martin; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara.

Irene P. Bonnell
Services for Irene Pauline Bonnell, 100, formerly of Farmington, will be held at 10 a.m. today, Aug. 29 at St. Gerald Church in Farmington with the Rev. Gerald McEnhill officiating. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
Mrs. Bonnell was born Aug. 19, 1902 in Ontario, Canada and died Aug. 27, 2002 at Marywood Nursing Home in Livonia. She worked as an industrial nurse and was a member of St. Gerald Catholic Church.
She is survived by her nephew, William (Ilene) Birge; and great-nephew, Joseph (Joanne) Thimm. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward.

Francesco A. Mantegna
Services for Francesco Antonio Mantegna, 94, of Farmington Hills, were held Aug. 24 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Farmington with the Rev. Ronald Browne officiating. Burial will take place in Italy.
Mr. Mantegna was born May 13, 1908 in Italy and died Aug. 17, 2002 at St. Mary Hospital in Livonia.
He is survived by his son, Bruno (Maria); daughters, Maria (Frank) Perri and Guiseppa (Paolo) Raco; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Maria and son Antonio.

Arthur E. Krause
Services for Arthur E. Krause, 87, formerly of Farmington Hills, were held Aug. 23 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Novi with the Rev. Paul Ballion officiating. Burial took place at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi.
Mr. Krause was born April 25, 1915 in Detroit and died Aug. 20, 2002 in Novi. He worked as an inspector for Ford Motor Company and enjoyed music.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; sons, David (Sally) and Gary; daughter, Carol (Tim) Kramer; sister, Eleanor (Invole) Zuconi; grandchildren, David and Adam; great-grandchildren, Jamie and Quinn; and niece, Linda Calkins.
