Herbert S. Barnum
Herbert Stanley Barnum, 78, died July 11, 2002 at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills.
Mr. Barnum, formerly a long-time resident of Farmington Hills, was born in Livonia on April 5, 1924. He was a member for many years of the First Baptist Church of Farmington. Mr. Barnum was recognized by his employer for his community service. His many activities included both the Lions Club and the Boy Scouts. He served as pack leader of Cub Scout Pack 395, scoutmaster of Troop 35, and also worked with Troops 230 and 389 (the Boy Scout Band).
Mr. Barnum is survived by his wife, Rose Elloeen; sons, Michael and Brian; daughters, Elyse and Cheryl; grandchildren, Maurice and Dominique; and great-grandchildren, Christine and Vanessa.
Patricia J. Williamson
Services for Patricia J. Williamson, 75, of Farmington Hills, were held Aug. 24 at Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home in Farmington with the Deacon Robert Delbeke officiating.
Mrs. Williamson was born Dec. 20, 1926 in Scranton, Penn. and died Aug. 21, 2002 at Providence Hospital in Southfield. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Robert Williamson, Patricia (Edwin) Cooper, Ann (Robert) Kalec and Thomas Williamson (Robert Gutherie); sisters, Mary, McKeough and Barbara Rohraugh; granchildren, Jennifer, William, Kimberly, Michael, Stephen, and Matthew; and great-grandchild, Jordan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, daughter Catherine and son Douglas.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Leukemia Society of Michigan State Normal College (now Eastern Michigan University) and taught in a one room schoolhouse. She was a member and board officer of the Council of Catholic Women, Archdiocese of and Detroit and a member of both the League of Catholic Women and the Daughters of Isabella.
A long time member of St. Mary of Redford Parish, she was past president of the Altar Society and head of the altar care committee until moving to Grand Court in Farmington Hills. She taught piano in her home for 30 years and was a Torch Drive (United Way) regional chair for a number of years. She also volunteered at the Bertha Fisher Home, World Medical Relief, as a tutor for International Institute and at Grand Court. She received the "Take Time To Care" award from the Kiwanis Club #1 Detroit and Volunteer of the Year in 1988 from the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
She is survived by her children, Mary Merz, Frank, Colette Duggan and Constance Aligada. She is preceded in death by her husband Vincent.

Rose M. Benci
Services for Rose Marie Benci, 72, of Farmington Hills, will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Benci was born Jan. 19, 1930 in Highland Park and died Aug. 22, 2002 in Farmington Hills. She worked as an office manager for a medical practice.
She is survived by her husband, John Jr.

Donald A. Kuffel
Services for Donald Arthur Kuffel, 54, of Farmington Hills, were held Aug. 17 at Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home in Farmington with the Rev. Jennifer Saad officiating. Burial took place at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia.
Mr. Kuffel was born Jan. 23, 1948 in Ferndale and died Aug. 15, 2002 at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. He worked as a manager for A & P and Farmer Jack and was a Vietnam War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Richard; daughters, Darcey (Timothy) Schafer and Tracey Kuffel; mother, Lois Kuffel; mother-in-law, Elizabeth (Gerald) Penner; brother, Michael (Carolyn); sisters, Sandra Clodfelter and Susan Quiney; and brother-in-law, Larry (Shila) Feipel.

Frank Mack
Services for Frank Mack, 85, of Farmington Hills, were held Aug. 21, at Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home in Farmington with the Msgr. Walter Hurley officiating. Burial took place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
Mr. Mack was born July 17, 1917 in Detroit and died Aug. 15, 2002 at Arbor Hospice in Ann Arbor. He worked in the experimental department of the Ford Motor Company during World War II. Mr. Mack left in the late 1940s to build by himself, his 1926 roadster from scrap parts. It won "Best Hotrod" award in the Autorama's first contest in 1953.
This "black beauty" was invited to Ford's exclusive Torunda Show in 1956 where it won the Preservation Award. A bronze sculpture of the car rests on top of the coveted trophy.
Mr. Mack's car is featured in the Autorama's 50th Anniversary celebration this year, courtesy of Peterson Automotive Museum.
He is survived by his beloved companion, Marie Tracz; and sisters, Rose Ciesla, Helen Wilson, and Bernice Bodziak.

Martha A. Ingram
A memorial service for Martha Ann Ingram, 95, of Farmington Hills, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 7567 Hubbell, in Detroit.
Mrs. Ingram was born July 31, 1907 in Detroit and died Aug. 9, 2002 at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. She was a past president of Highland Park Women's Club and Women's Division for Project Hope. She was also on the Mayor's Committee for the Freedom Festival. Mrs. Ingram was a member of Women's Division of Detroit Symphony and Detroit Opera, the Harper Hospital Auxiliary and the Women's City Club. She was a volunteer at the Cancer Closet for the American Cancer Society, Children's Hospital, the American Red Cross and was instrumental in starting a donation program for Heritage Park in Farmington Hills.

Andora Barber
Services for Andora Barber, 100, of Farmington, were held Aug. 16 at Walsh Funeral Home in Roscommon with burial at Gerrish Township Cemetery.
Mrs. Barber was born Oct. 7, 1901 in Maple Forest Township, Mich. and died Aug. 13, 2002 at Botsford Continuing Care Center in Farmington Hills. At age 18, she worked as a housekeeper in Detroit. Henry Ford was often a guest to the home of the people for whom she worked.
She married Clarence Barber on Aug. 16, 1921. Her hobbies included fishing, sewing, cooking, picking blueberries, playing cards and walking. She walked the Mackinac Bridge twice.
She is survived by her son, Frank (Laura Marie); daughter, Shirley Murray; daughter-in-law, Helen Barber; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence and son, Thomas.
