Services for Frances M. Devine, 95, of Livonia were held August 6 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Farmington with Fr. Ronald Browne officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery of Detroit.
Frances Devine was born April 11, 1907 in Laurium, Mich. She died August 4 in Livonia. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by husband Philip.
Survivors include sons Kenneth (Joyce) and Dr. Robert (Mary Ellen), grandsons Dr. Robert Paul Devine and Mark Gedman, granddaughter Amy Doherty, and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Marywood Nursing Home of Livonia.

Thomas Allen Burkhart
Services for Thomas Allen Burkhart, 64, of Farmington Hills were held August 6 at Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home of Farmington. Pastor John Quigley officiated.
Mr. Burkhart was born May 19, 1938. He died August 3 in Farmington Hills. He was employed by Ash Gear as a general manager.
Survivors include wife Carol Burkhart; daughter Patricia Burkhart; son Thomas (Teresa) Burkhart; stepdaughter Tonnya (Michael) Colbert; stepsons Dwaine (Teresa) Shafe and Kory (Julie) Shafe; sister Kathy (John) Fernandez; grandsons James and Charles; stepgrandchildren Blake, Cherell, Brandon, Alyssa, Dwaine Jr., Johnny, Joshua, MaryRebekah and Krystal; and niece Jaimie Fernandez.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Peter T. Demers
Peter Demers, 79, of Redford Township died Aug. 6, 2002.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Barbara; children, Dave (Anne) of Westland, Naomie (Scott) Forney of Southfield, Noel (Kate) of Southfield, Leonard (Patti) of Redford Township, Paul (Jinia) of Farmington Hills, Ruth of Livonia, Denise (Mark) Stein of Bloomfield Hills and Bill of Livonia; 26 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Demers was preceded in death by his son, Glen, and grandaughter, Erin.

Harrison Blair Kirk III
Services for Harrison Blair Kirk III, 66, were held August 6 in the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home of Novi. Burial followed at Glen Eden Cemetery of Livonia.
Mr. Kirk was born February 23, 1936. He died August 2 in Farmington Hills.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn; daughters Elizabeth (William Clemens) Kirk-Clemens, Linda Kirk, Ellen (David Saatio) Kirk Saatio and Louise (John Stoddard) Kirk; grandchildren Mellissa, Christopher, Alex, Rachael, Alison, Christine, Carolyn and Madelyn; and sister Magaret Devon.
Memorials may be made to the Rehab Institute of Alabama. She died August 8 in Farmington Hills.
Survivors include son Durand C. (Lucile) Hatcher of Clarkston; grandchildren Douglas (Judy) Hatcher of Farmington Hills and Karelle Hatcher of Colfax, Calif.

Richard Grant Smith

Mr. Smith wa born April 21, 1942 in Half Moon, N.Y. He died August 8 in Farmington Hills. He was employed as a quality liaison for the auto industry.
Survivors include wife Anne Marie; daughters Tammie (Daniel) Chilcutt, Kimberly (Scot) Fawthrop and Paula (Dave) Desi; sons Kevin Smith and Rik Smith; grandchildren Elizabeth, Laura, Craig Jr., Daniel Jr., Derek, Hailey, Kaushi and Sonny; brother Morie Latimore; sisters Beverly Hill and Sharon Smith; step-sister Jill Ryan and step-brother Scott Smith.

Sheldon L. Beckwith
Services for Sheldon Larry Beckwith, 61, of Livonia, were held Aug. 2, at Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home in Farmington with the Rev. Jennifer Sadd officiating. Burial took place at Oakwood Cemetery in Farmington.
Mr. Beckwith was born Oct. 27, 1940 in Detroit and died July 28, 2002 at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. He worked as a model maker for General Motors.
He is survived by his son, Larry (Lisa); companion, Jean Saldana; grandchildren, Jamie Beckwith and Kristyna Beckwith; sisters, Lorene Jeffrey, Dorothy Pettibone and Marlene Trobridge; brother, Al (Joyce) Beckwith; companion's children, Julie (Ken) Richey and Michael Saldana; and companion's grandchildren, Devin and Alaina. He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, sister, Tootie and brother, Raymond.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Karmanos Cancer Institute.
