LEONARD V. JOY
Services for Leonard Vincent Joy, 83, of Farmington Hills, will be held 10 a.m. Monday, June 17 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Farmington with the Msgr. Walter Hurley officiating. Burial will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia.
Mr. Joy was born Oct. 28, 1918 in Detroit and died June 12, 2002 at Marywood Nursing Center in Livonia. He worked for the IRS for 32 years and was a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; son, James (Ruth); daughters, Nancy (Harry) Davidson, Donna Calus, Diane Joy and Kathleen (Gary) Peters; sister, Eleanor Nowak; brother, Dennis (Alice) Jagodzinski; and grandchildren, Ryan Calus, Nicole Davidson, Annie Brodski, Alex Brodski, Corey Brodski, Andy Peters and Emily Peters.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

ARCHIE S. RAMSAY
Services for Archie Simpson Ramsay, 80, of Farmington, were held June 15 Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home in Farmington with the Rev. Daniel Cave officiating. Burial took place at Oakwood Cemetery in Farmington.
Mr. Ramsay was born Oct. 19, 1921 in Detroit and died June 13, 2002 at Hospice Home in Farmington Hills. He worked for General Motors and enjoyed golf.
He is survived by his sons, Kirk (Candy) and Craig (Susan) Ramsay; brother, William; sister, Grace Carey; and grandchildren, Carly, Jessica and Brett.

Robert L. Jolly
Services for Robert Jolly, 69, of Garden City were Oct. 5 in Vermeulen Funeral Home. Officiating was Col. Clarence Harvey.
Mr. Jolly was born June 15, 1933, in Dixon, Ill., and died Oct. 2 in Wayne. He was a mechanic.
Surviving are his sons, Robert (Jackie) Jolly of Garden City and William Jolly of Farmington Hills; daughter, Deborah Jolly of Chicago, Ill.; brother, Paul Jolly of Dearborn Heights; sisters, Alice McConnell of Utah and Lucille Foote of Massachusetts; and four grandchildren.

Verne E. Keeth
Verne Keeth, 93, of Westland died Oct. 2 in Farwell, Mich. Mrs. Keeth was born June 13, 1909, in Detroit. She had lived in this area all her life.
In her later years, she began writing memories of her life in the early 1900s in the Livonia area on the family farm. Several of her stories were published in the Detroit Free Press. She was a secretary and retired from Hawthorn Center in Northville.
Surviving are her sons, Keeth Keeth of Marietta, Ga., Donald (Robbie) Keeth of Plymouth and Michael (Diane) Keeth of Plymouth; daughter, Leslyn (Bud) Young of Farwell; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Keeth was preceded in death by her husband, Vivian; son, James Keeth; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.
There are family members who reside in the Garden City community.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

James Dean Keeth
Services for James "Jim" Keeth, 68, of Garden City were held recently. Arrangements were made by Vermeulen Funeral Home, Westland.
Mr. Keeth died Sept. 23.
Surviving are his mother, Verne Keeth of Clare, Mich.; brother, Keeth V. of Marietta, Ga., Donald (Robbie) of Plymouth and Michael (Diane) of Plymouth; sister, Leslyn (Donly "Bud" Jr.) of Young of Lake, Mich.; and companion, Marilynn McHendrick of Garden City. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Jack R. Seal
Services for Jack Seal, 69, of Westland were Sept. 25 in R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, Garden City, with burial at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West, Westland. Officiating was the Rev. Roy Forsyth.
A longtime resident, Mr. Seal was born Dec. 3, 1932, in Detroit, and died Sept. 23 at his home. He was a club manager for a Veterans organization, a member of V.F.W. of Garden City where he served as Post Commander, Westland Moose, Amvets and American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Rosalie; children, Deborah Hughes, James Seal and Audra (Jason) Moriez; sisters, Doris Theobald and Virginia Rousakis; and seven grandchildren.
Floyd Sergi
Services for Floyd Sergi, 85, of Fenton were Sept. 1 in Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, Plymouth, with burial at St. John Cemetery, Fenton. Officiating was Henry Schaffer.
Mr. Sergi was born Feb. 9, 1917, in Bush, Ill., and died Aug. 29 in Commerce Township. He was a retired press operator for Ford Motor Co. in the Rouge Plant. He came to the Fenton community in 2001 from Dearborn Heights.
Mr. Sergi enjoyed fishing, watching the stock market and going to the casinos.
Surviving are his wife, Julia; children, Valerie Sergi of Richmond, Va., Charlene (Albert) Podgorniak of Grass Lake and Gail (James) Gibson of Fenton; sister, Lena Crudo of Arizona; grandchildren, Todd (Trinka) Wasik, Greg Wasik, Laura (Terry) Warren, Kimberly (Gregory) Grant, Tina Podgorniak, Jacquelyn (Gregory) Becker, Dawn (Chuck) Dittmar, Jeff (Kelly) Gibson and Tracy (Cameron) Dunlop; and 15 great-grandchildren.
There are family members who reside in Livonia and Garden City.
Karlie Sloan
Services for Karlie Sloan, 66, of Garden City were Aug. 31 in St. Raphael Church with burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield. Officiating was the Rev. Frederick Misiolek.
Mrs. Sloan was born May 17, 1936, in Melvindale and died Aug. 27 in Marlborough, Mass. She was a clerical worker.
Surviving are her sons, Gregory (Karen) Glumm and Garth (Sheryl) Glumm; daughter, Gayle (Sean) McGinty; brothers, John Kessey and Craig Kessey; and eight grandchildren.
Mrs. Sloan was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas.

Conley Farmer
Services for Conley Farmer, 80, of Garden City will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, in R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Road, Garden City, with burial at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West, Westland. Officiating will be the Rev. Roy Forsyth.
Mr. Farmer was born Aug. 12, 1922, in Chavies, Ky., and died Sept. 2 in Grand Rapids. He lived in the Garden City area since 1965 and was a former resident of Inkster. He was the owner of Midgo's filling station and party store. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Loretta; four children; five grandchildren; two step- grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Frank Brauer
Services for Frank Brauer, 91, of Garden City were Sept. 4 in St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Westland. Officiating was the Rev. Kurt Lambert.
Mr. Brauer was born Nov. 18, 1910, in Detroit and died Aug. 29 in Garden City. He lived in this community many years. He was an assembler for a ventilation company.
Surviving are his daughters, Patricia (Donald) Becker and Geraldine (Robert) Hooton; six grandchildren, Bobby, Laurie, Mike, Michele, Julie and Jimmy; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Brauer was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel, and grandson, Mark Becker.
