Roger P. Miller
Services for Roger Miller, 48, of Livonia were Sept. 24 in Faith Lutheran Church in Livonia.
Mr. Miller died Sept. 20, 2002.
Surviving are his wife, Christine; children, Joslyn, Jaclyn and Jeanette; parents, Dr. William and Shirley Miller; and brothers, Bill (Rita), Ric (Anne) and Ray (Danielle).
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife, Anne.

Charles J. Simkins
Services for Charles "Chuck" Simkins of Livonia were Sept. 6 in St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Dearborn Heights.
Mr. Simkins was retired from Pipefitter's Local 636.
He served in World War II in the Air Force. He served two terms as the Worshipful Master of Brightmore Lodge 540, and four terms as the Worthy Patron of the Order of Eastern Star, Kindness Chapter 523. He was Vice President of the Order of Eastern Star, Wayne County Association.
Mr. Simkins enjoyed activities with his children. He was a MicMac baseball coach, Cub Scout leader and a Choir Chaperone. He was an avid runner and won many medals in competitions.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Hazel; children, Kathleen (Ray) Neill, Charles "Nick" (Sharon) Simkins, Marsha (Mark) Agababian and Rebecca (Scott) Seslar; siblings, Irene (Bob) Dunsheath, Doris (the late Dick) DeBolt and Robert (Dorothy) Simkins; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial tributes may be made to Rose Cancer Center at William Beaumont Hospital or the ICU/Special Care Unit at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia.

Nancy Jane Manoogian
Services for Nancy Manoogian, 50, of Livonia were Sept. 19 in R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home. Officiating was the Rev. Jack Baker from St. Mary Catholic Church in Wayne.
Mrs. Manoogian was born Jan. 21, 1952, in Detroit, and died Sept. 15, 2002, in Ann Arbor. She was an office manager for J & J Machine Products in Redford.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas; daughters, Beth and Lisa; and sisters, Rose Fedea, Irene Werner, Susan Hamel, Karen Karibian Gilboe, Kathy Guobis and Krissy Cadorin.

Wakako Loomis
Services for Wakako "Mona" Loomis, 69, of Farmington Hills were Sept. 21, in Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, Farmington. Officiating was the Rev. Jennifer Saad.
Mrs. Loomis was born June 20, 1933, in Japan, and died Sept. 18, 2002, at her daughter's home in Northville. She was employed as a data entry clerk in the banking business.
Surviving are her son, Robert (Marci) Loomis of Livonia; daughters, Tomoe (James) Lombard and Teresa (John) Yee; six brothers and sisters; and seven grandchildren.

Alexander Silver
Services for Alexander "Allen" Silver, 80, of Livonia were Sept. 7 in Harry J. Will Funeral Home, with burial at Parkview Cemetery in Livonia.
Mr. Silver died Sept. 4, 2002.
Surviving are his son, Fred (Susan); daughter Ellen (John) Fuhrman; brother, William Silver; sister, Betty Westlund; and two grandchildren, Jonathan and Kaitlyn.
Mr. Silver was preceded in death by his wife, Anne, and sister, Janet Arrants.

Erma M. Recker
Services for Erma Recker, 79, of Livonia were Sept. 17 in Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, with burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield. Officiating was the Rev. Forish.
Mrs. Recker was born July 29, 1923, and died Sept. 12, 2002. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her son, Chris (Melissa) Recker; daughters, Maureen (Mike) and Cindy (Paul) Szerlag of Livonia; and six grandchildren.
Patricia Ann Bracker-Jennings
Private services for Patricia Bracker-Jennings, 77, of Livonia were held recently. Arrangements were made by Casterline Funeral Home in Northville.
Mrs. Bracker-Jennings was born May 19, 1925, in Greenfield Township, Mich., and died Sept. 14, 2002, in Southfield. She was a teacher at Livonia Stevenson High School. She received her bachelor's degree in eduation from the University of Michigan. She has lived in Livonia since 1957. Mrs. Bracker-Jennings enjoyed traveling with her family.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, William; children, Bill (Karen) Jennings, Candace (Stephen) Crowe, Gary Jennings and Jill (Jim) Dotterrer; sister Virginia Enos; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mary Louise Moyer
A memorial service for Mary Moyer, 48, of Royal Oak will be 7 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 19, in Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia. Visitation is 4 p.m. until time of the service.
Miss Moyer died Sept. 16, 2002.
Surviving are her parents, Gerald and Helen Moyer of Plymouth; brothers, Jerry (Pam Lavens), Daniel and Robert (Jomana); sisters, Ellen and Ann; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Charlie and Joanne Aikins and family.

Terry Scott Settles
Services for former Livonia resident Terry Settles, 39, of Lexington, Ky., were Sept. 17 in Uht Funeral Home in Westland, with burial at Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia. Officiating was the Rev. Don Belcher.
Mr. Settles was born Oct. 12, 1962, and died Sept. 13, 2002, in Lexington, Ky. He was a drywaller.
Surviving are his daughter, Amy Settles; mother, Anne Settles of Westland; and brothers, J. Brian (Bridget) Settles and Mark Settles.
Mr. Settles was preceded in death by his father, Louis Settles.
