Edmund Buczek
A funeral Mass for Edmund Buczek of Livonia was Sept. 18 in St. Theodore Catholic Church.
Mr. Buczek died Sept. 15, 2002.
Surviving are his son, William (Sharon) Buczek; daughter, Elaine (Jim) Schultz; sister, Marion Balwinski; and Jennifer Buczek, Brian Buczek, Stephen Schultz, Brian (Michelle) Schultz and Caroloyn's Ge-Ge.
Mr. Buczek was preceded in death by his wife, Helen.

James E. Veach
A memorial service for former Livonia resident James Veach, 76, of Manistee will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.
Mr. Veach was born March 27, 1926, in Detroit, and died June 4, 2002, at West Shore Medical Center in Manistee. Jim and his wife, Jeanne, moved to Manistee from Livonia in 1986.
Mr. Veach was an electrical service engineer for Ford Motor Company, retiring after 32 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II serving on USS LST 583.
He was very active with the Boy Scouts in the Livonia area for more than 20 years. He served as Scout Master of Troupe 401 in Redford and ran a two-week summer camp for his troupe for 20 years, serving as a water safety instructor. He enjoyed gardening, bowling, cross country skiing and canoeing.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanne; sons, Dr. John (Pat) Veach of Manistee, David Veach of Livonia, Paul (Mary Elyse) Veach of Grand Haven and Peter (Anne) Veach of Dearborn; brother, Jerry (Juanita) Veach of Livonia; sister, Hulda (Dan) Piercecchi of Livonia; and grandchildren, Jessica and Jeffrey Veach, Cassie, Emma and Noah Veach, and Grant, Nicole, Brendan and Dominic Veach. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Memorial tributes may be made in his name to The Gift of Life Transplantation Society of Ohio, and died Aug. 31, 2002, in Westland. She was raised in Superior, Wis., and moved to Plymouth in 1943. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Superior, Wis. Miss Fisher received her degree as a registered medical laboratory technicican from St. Mary Hospital, Superior, Wis. and worked for a physician in Plymouth 20 years.
She attended the Bradbury School of Music in Duluth, Minn., where she received a teaching certificate for piano. She played morning Mass for Father Byrne at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, where she has been a member since 1943.
Surviving are her sisters; Anita Vogel of San Antonio, Fla., and Florence Levandowski of Livonia; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial tributes may be made in the form of Mass offerings or to Four Chaplains Nursing Care Center in Westland.

Charles H. Adkins
Services for Charles Adkins, 87, of Farmington were Sept. 14 in Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, with burial at Oakland Hills Cemetery in Novi. Officiating was Dick Schmidt, Chaplain of VFW Post No. 3941.
Mr. Adkins was born Aug. 26, 1915, in Ohio, and North West Community Hospital. She was a member of the National Federation of Republican Women.
Mrs. Sprogell was active in local and state Republican activities since 1979. She was elected woman of the year by the Livonia Republican Womens Club in 1989.
Surviving are her husband, Donald; son, Richard (Lorraine) Hughes; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Amadeo L. Crispino
Graveside services for former Westland resident Amadeo "Louis" Crispino, 88, of Muncie, Ind. were Sept. 14 in Holy Cross Cemetery, Clarksburg, W.Va.
Mr. Crispino was born in Clarksburg, W.Va., and attended the local schools. He died Sept. 10, 2002. He worked for a packing company in Clarksburg. In 1942, he moved to Detroit and worked for American Motors until 1959. He then worked as a custodian for Clarenceville High School, retiring in 1972. He has resided in Muncie this past year.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Catherine; daughters, Raffella (Norman) Tomboni of Muncie, Ind., Josephine (Jim) Williams of Flat Rock and Rosemarie Crispino of Wayne; sister, Eva of Burgettstown, Pa.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Crispino was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

Willis A. Brauer
Services for Willis Brauer, 62, of Livonia were Sept 14 in Fred Wood Funeral Home.
Mr. Brauer was born in Detroit, and died Sept. 11, 2002, in Southfield. He was a teacher and principal in Livonia 30 years, retiring June 30, 1993. He was an avid hunter and loved to play poker.
Surviving are his son, David (Diane) Brauer; daughter, Elizabeth (Richard) LaForge; mother, Thelma Brauer; one brother; and eight grandchildren.
