Barbara E. Smith
Graveside services for former Livonia resident Barbara Smith, 65, of Casselberry, Fla. will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Rural Hill Cemetery in Northville.
Mrs. Smith died Aug. 10 in Orlando, Fla. She was a nurse at Florida Hospital. Prior to moving to Florida, she was a nurse at St. Mary Hospital in Livonia.
Surviving are her son, Troy; daughter, Krystal; two sisters; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and friend, Sonny Orr.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her son, Kurt, and daughter, Kimberly.
Marjorie M. Ford
Marjorie Ford, 97, of Livonia died Aug. 17, 2002.
Surviving Mrs. Ford are her children, Lawrence Burke, Sr., Noreen Burke, O.P. (Adrian) and Carole Burkhardt; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her husbands, Peter Burke and Basil Ford.

Rodney J. Juve
Services for Rodney Juve, 66, of Novi were Aug. 21 in Schrader-Howell Funeral Home in Plymouth. Officiating was the Rev. T. Richard Marcis
Mr. Juve was born Dec. 15, 1935, in Dearborn, and died Aug. 19, 2002, in Royal Oak.
He was a retired automotive executive. He came to the Novi community in 1987 from West Bloomfield, and previously lived in Plymouth.
Mr. Juve was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Farmington Hills. He enjoyed traveling in the family's recreational vehicle across the country.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen O'Neill; children, Brent (Tisa) Juve of Austin, Texas and Barbara Juve of Livonia; step-son, Craig (Kimberly) O'Neill of Henderson, Nev.; brother, Lee (Kathy) Juve of Brighton; sister, Roz Juve of Oregon; three grandchildren, Rachael Juve, Eli Juve and Emmalee Juve; and several nieces and nephews.

Hattie M. Ditner
A funeral Mass for Hattie Ditner of Livonia will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, in St. Michael's Catholic Church in Livonia, with burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield. Her body will lie in state 9:30 a.m. at the church until time of the service. Visitation is 1-9 p.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 22, in Harry J. Will Funeral Home on Six Mile. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. this evening.
Mrs. Ditner died Aug. 17, 2002.
Surviving are her children, Merlene (the late Tom) Brand, Joan (Don) Roberts, Shirley (Bob) Engle and Dave (Susan); brother, Leo (Irene) Benninger of Kitchner, Ontario; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ditner was preceded in death by her husband, Alex.
Elizabeth Stephenson
A funeral Mass for Elizabeth Stephenson, 87, of West Bloomfield will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Dearborn Heights. Officiating will be the Rev. John Lazar.
Prayers will be 9:15 a.m. Aug. 19 in Neely-Turowski Funeral Home, 30200 Five Mile Road, Livonia prior to the Mass. Visitation is 1-9 p.m. today, Aug. 18, in the funeral home.
Mrs. Stephenson was born June 21, 1915, in Detroit, and died Aug. 15, 2002, in Farmington Hills. She was a former owner of a restaurant in Livonia.
Surviving are her sister, Virginia Joslin; and grandsons, Brett (Lori) Baier and John (Lynn) Baier of West Bloomfield.
Nicholas C. Nestico
A Celebration of Life Service for Nicholas Nestico, 78, of Livonia will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, in Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road in Livonia, with burial at Mt. Hope Memorial Gardens. Visitation is noon to 8 p.m. today, Sunday, Aug. 18, in the funeral home.
Mr. Nestico died Aug. 15, 2002. He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn; children, Cheryl (Randy) Venier of Westland, Brian (Keli), Kenneth and Gregory (Michele); step-children, Ronald Stevens and Karen Silcott; siblings, James, Victor, Joseph and Lillian Muldowny; and eight grandchildren.

Services for Arlene Wethington, 75, of Reed City, Mich., were Aug. 14 in Vermeulen Funeral Home, with burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield. Officiating was the Rev. Ray Field.
Mrs. Wethington was born Nov. 7, 1926, in Lansing, and died Aug. 11 in Grand Rapids. She was a factory worker.

Mrs. Cobb was born May 13, 1909, in Canada, and died Aug. 11 in Westland. She was a manicurist.

Helen M. Hunt
Services for Helen Hunt, 84, of Livonia were Aug. 14 in John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, with burial at St.Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights. Officiating was the Rev. Lawrence Zurawski of St. Damian Catholic Church.
Mrs. Hunt was born Aug. 15, 1917, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and died Aug. 10, 2002, in Livonia. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her sons, Ralph (Jean) Hunt and James Hunt; daughter, Patricia Taylor; five grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah, Kristen, Christopher and Caitlin; and one great-grandchild, Maddison.
Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey.
Paul Letwinski
Paul Letwinski, 64, of Livonia died Aug. 13, 2002. Arrangements were made by Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, Farmington.
Mr. Letwinski was born Nov. 6, 1937, in Southfield Township.
Surviving are his wife, Joan; sons, Ted, Paul Jr. (Kathy) and Steven (Laura); stepson, James McLean; daughter, Lisa (Shawn) Nabozny; brothers, Michael and Joe; sisters, Barbara and Maire; and four grandchildren.
Hattie F. Milne
Hattie Milne, 83, formerly of Clarksville, Tenn. died Aug. 9, 2002. A memorial service will be private.
Surviving are her children, Robert (Pamela) Smith, Lowell (Dotti) Smith, Kathleen (Kaye) Tertzag and Tim (Kathy) Milne; sister, Martha Shelley; grandchildren, Alex, Brian, Charles, Daniel, Nicholas, Kyle, Kraig (Stacey), Kara (Sergio), Leslie, Alaina, Austin and Autumn; and great-grandchildren, Julian, Kyle II and Bella; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Milne was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, and son, Kris Milne.
There are family members who reside in the Livonia community.
Her body was donated to the University of Michigan School of Medicine.

Robert Clark Rathbun
Services for Robert Rathbun, 79, of Livonia were Aug. 10 in Harry J. Will Funeral Home. Officiating was the Rev. Richard Peters.
Mr. Rathbun was born April 21, 1923, in Howell, and died Aug. 7, 2002, in Livonia. He was an engineer. He was a veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Irene; son, Robert (Jane) Rathbun of Livonia; daughter, Cindy Rathbun Wirth; sister, Dr. Marvel Rathbun Kohn; and two grandchildren, Alex Rathbun and Emily Rathbun.

Frances Mary Todd
Frances Todd, 90, of Livonia died Aug. 11, 2002, in Livonia. Arrangements were made by Thayer-Rock Funeral Home in Farmington, with burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Lowell, Mich.
Mrs. Todd was born July 12, 1912, in Detroit. She was a former resident of Farmington Hills and South Lyon.
Surviving are her son, Earl (Celia) Todd of Novi; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Frank P. Gromek
A funeral Mass for Frank Gromek, 88, of Livonia will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 27201 W. Chicago, east of Inkster Road.
His body will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Visitation is 1-9 p.m. today, Aug. 15, in L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, 7707 Middlebelt Road, Westland. A Scripture service will be 6 p.m. this evening in the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Hedwig Cemetery.
Mr. Gromek was born July 20, 1914, in Detroit, and died Aug. 11, 2002, at his home in Livonia. He was a meter reader for the city of Detroit. He served in World War II 1943-1945.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; four nephews and seven nieces.
