Ann Boata
Services for Ann Boata, 87, of Livonia will be 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, in First United Methodist Church, 33112 Grand River Ave. in Farmington, with burial at Acacia Park Cemetery in Beverly Hills. Officiating will be the Rev. Sondra B. Willobee.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. today, Sunday, Aug. 3, in Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Ave., Farmington.
Mrs. Boata was born June 23, 1915, in West Virginia, and died July 30, 2002, in Livonia. She was a former resident of Farmington Hills and Redford. She was a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church in Redford, Redford School Board, Redford Suburban League and a long time volunteer for Red Cross.
Surviving are her daughters, Joan (Fred) Miller of Fullerton, Calif. and Crystal (Arthur) Westphal of Farmington Hills; sister, Marie Grogan of Chelsea; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Boata was preceded in death by her husband, John (1990).

Verne E. Keethfemale
A memorial service for Verne Keeth will be held at a later date. Mrs. Keeth was born June 13, 1909 in Detroit and died Oct. 2 at North Woods Nursing Center in Farwell. She was 93.
Mrs. Keeth had resided in and around Plymouth all her life. In her later years, she began writing her memories of life in the early 1900s in the Livonia area on the family farm. Several of her efforts were published in the Detroit Free Press. She was retired from Hawthorn Center in Northville.
Mrs. Keeth was preceded in death by her husband, Vivianok G. Keeth, son, James Keeth, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter.
Survivors include son, KeethokV. Keeth of Marietta, Ga.; son, Donald A. (Robbie) Keeth of Plymouth; son, Michael J. (Diane) Keeth of Plymouth; daughter, Leslyn A. (Bud) Young of Farwell; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

George H. Stroyan
Services for George Stroyan, 87, of Plymouth were held Oct. 5 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Peter M. Berg officiating. Burial was at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia.
Mr. Stroyan was born March 13, 1915 in Louistown, Pa. and died Oct. 3 in Livonia. He retired from the Burrough's Corporation in Plymouth. He came to the Plymouth community in 1951 from Detroit. He was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He was a wonderful family man.
Mr. Stroyan was preceded in death by sons, John and Doug.
Survivors include wife, Jean Stroyan of Plymouth; children, Pat (Norm) Kraetz of Santa Anna Calif., Debbie (May) Guthart of West Bloomfield, George (Florence) Stroyan of Boyne City, Harvey Stroyan of Plymouth, Sheree (Dennis) Chapman of Westland, Frank (Darlene) Stroyan of Gaylord, David (Wyline) Stroyan of Plymouth, and Mary (Mike) Dix of Westland; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, John Stroyan of Belleville, Joe Stroyan of Fla., and Walter (Wanda) Stroyan of Westland; and sister Najia Lozon of Colo.

Fannie (Frankie) Cox
Services for Frankie Cox, 84, of Plymouth were held Oct. 8 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Bryan officiating. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth
Mrs. Cox was born Oct. 17, 1917 in Naylor, Mo. and died Oct. 5 in Superior Township. She was a waitress at Hillside Inn of Plymouth for 25 years. She and Claud were married for 43 years. She came to the Plymouth community in 1956 from Detroit. She loved being outside and keeping busy. She enjoyed hunting and fishing. She was very colorful with her words and was a one-of-a-kind spirited person.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claud; son-in-law, Dwain Park; and brothers, Harry and Steve Rapotec.
Survivors include daughter, Claudia Park of Hamburg; grandchildren, DeAnna Park of Plymouth and Michael (Becky) Park of Taylor; brother, Frank Rapotec of Florida; and sister, Eva Eggersdorf of Warren.

Eunice Barbara Wise
Services for Eunice Wise, 78, of Canton, were held Oct. 8 from the Chapel of L.J. Griffin Funeral Home. Burial was at White Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Wise was born June 24, 1924 in Canada and died Oct. 5 in Livonia. She was a homemaker.

Harlan Dean Rosevear
Services for Harlan Rosevear, were held Oct. 7 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.
Mr. Rosevear died Oct. 4 at Heartland Health Care Center in Ann Arbor. He was born in Detroit and graduated from MacKenzie High School. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific aboard the USS Bennington from October 1944 to May 1946 under Admiral Halsey. He graduated from the Detroit College of Business after the service. He retired as Director of Purchasing and Sales from Davis Tool & Engineering in 1987. He was a significant member of the Davis family for many years. He enjoyed a second career as a steel salesman, representing Kenwal Steel in Detroit. Since 1986, he had been co-owner with his wife, of Carlson Wagonlit Travel offices in Plymouth and Wayne.
Mr. Rosevear was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fly fishing, golfing and hunting and he traveled much of the world in enjoyment of his favorite sports. He was a former member of Meadowbrook Country Club, Ducks Unlimited and was Past President of Woodgate Condo Association.
Mr. Rosevear was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Guy (Betty) Seymour.
Survivors include wife and best friend, Katherine (Seymour); sister, Shirley (Robert) Gammon of Spring Hill, Fla.; brother, Kenneth (Linda) Rosevear of Wixom; sister-in-law, Rosemary (Peter) Urbaniak; brother-in-law, Jim (Shirley) Seymour, Phil Seymour, Lawrence (Susan) Seymour, and Paul (Carolyn) Seymour; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mr. McConnell was born Jan. 16, 1922 in Coeburn, Va. and died Oct. 7 in Superior Township. He worked as a commercial industrial plumber.

Kenneth Dixon
Kenneth Dixon, 73, of Canton Township died Sept. 28 in Canton. He was born March 13, 1929 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a retired Human Resource Director for General Motors Corporation in Auburn Hills. He came to the Canton community in 1978 from Holbrook, N.Y. He loved the New York Yankees. His heart was always in N.Y. where he was born and raised. He was a loving father, brother and friend.
Survivors include sons, Neil Dixon (fiancee, Stacey) of Plymouth and Bryan Dixon of Canton; daughter, Carolyn Dixon of Canton; and brother, Buddy (Ronnie) Dixon of Elmont, N.Y.

George Andrews
Services for George Andrews, 75, of Plymouth were held Oct. 4 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Klump officiating.
Mr. Andrews was born Feb. 28, 1927 in Bitola, Yugoslavia and died Sept. 29 in Superior Township, after fighting a determined battle against leukemia.
Mr. Andrews was known for having a long and dedicated career in the fields of health care and fitness. Most recently he was instrumental in the development of TRACC (Total Rehabilitation and Athletic Conditioning) of Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills. He retired as director in 1994.
George Andrews' career spanned a broad range of experiences in the health industry, ranging from crisis management to wellness programming, including serving as Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation Center for the Geriatric Authority of Holyoke, Mass; establishing the curriculum of physical therapy at Wayne State University where he served as Director of Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Institute, Detroit; developing and initiating a cardiovascular conditioning program for General Motors' top corporate executives; as well as developing the program, Fitness After Fifty, at Schoolcraft Community College in Livonia.
He was actively committed to community and professional involvement, serving on many committees and chairing numerous professional societies, including the state and national chapters of the American Physical Therapy Association. Most recently he served on the boards of the Novi Chamber of Commerce and the Plymouth Housing Commission.
Mr. Andrews was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy, Pacific Theatre.
Survivors include wife, Elizabeth (Betty) of Plymouth; children, Laurie (Ken) Butman of Ypsilanti, Christine (John) Courtley of Franklin, Tenn., Janis (Bud) Burleson of Plymouth, and Greg (Jamie) Andrews of Seattle, Wash.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister, Sophie Muirhead of Syracuse. Thomas Henry Millington, III
Services for Thomas Millington, 47, of Wayne, were held Oct. 3 at 1:30 at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home with the Rev. John Tapley officiating. Burial was at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia.
Mr. Millington was born May 18, 1955 in Highland Park and died Sept. 29 in Ann Arbor. He was self-employed as a finish carpenter. He came to the Wayne community in 1992 from Redford. He loved to fish and hunt and woodworking was his hobby.
Mr. Millington was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Millington.

Marie M. Petz
Services for Marie Petz, 97, of Westland, were held Oct. 3 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with the Rev. George Charnley officiating. Burial was at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley.
Mrs. Petz was born June 3, 1905 in Philadelphia and died Sept. 30 at Four Chaplains Nursing Home. She began working in a factory at age 12. She moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1930. In 1941 she moved with her husband and two children to Michigan where she resided the rest of her life. During World War II, she worked at the American Red Cross. She worked in the wholesale drug industry for many years and was the first female salesperson in that field in the State of Michigan.
The six best years of her life were during the time when she was married to Ed Petz, who she met while working at Frank W. Kerr Co. in Detroit. At that time, she was 72 and he was 79. They were very active in the Masonic organization, took numerous trips and attended social functions, which included dancing. She was a devout Catholic and attended St. John Neumann Church. She was always well dressed during her working years and up until she was 96 years of age, worked either in dresses or a suit. She always had a great sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Petz.
Survivors include son, S. Sidney (Yvonne) Greenberg of Plymouth; daughter, Mary Alice (Thomas) Armstrong of Charlevoix; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and step-son, Weldon E. (Shirley) Petz of West Bloomfield.
