James Marvin Crume, 83, bank president, car dealer
James Marvin Crume, 83, of Warsaw, a former bank president and automobile business owner, died Saturday at Gallatin County Health Care Center in Warsaw.
He was president of Sparta-Sanders Bank and owner of Crume Motors in Sparta.
Mr. Crume was a member of Sparta Baptist Church and Tadmor Masonic Lodge No. 108 in Warsaw. He also was an election commissioner and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
"He was in the banking business for 25 years, " said Mr. Crume's wife of 60 years, Mary "Tee" Crume. "He started as a teller and ended up being president of the bank.
"After retiring from the bank, he went into the automobile business. That's how he spent his retirement."
Mr. Crume was an avid golfer. "He loved golf, " said Mrs. Crume. "He enjoyed playing golf more than just about anything else.
"He had a lot of friends and liked helping people. When anybody needed help, he was there. He was a fine person."
Other survivors include a brother, Bill Crume of St. James, Mo.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Carlton-Lowder Funeral Home in Warsaw.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at the funeral home, with Masonic services at 7 p.m.
Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery.

Ronald Baker, 62, of Florence, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.
Arrangements are pending at Stith Funeral Home, Florence.
Charles N. Canada, 62, of Bellevue, died at 5:50 p.m. Saturday at his home. He was a mechanic and a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Sue Canada; a son, Allen Canada of London, Ohio; daughters, Paula Gross of Arizona and Hope Canada of Dayton; a sister, Virginia Scales of Russell Springs; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McCreary County Funeral Home, Whitley City. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Catchen Funeral Home, Covington, and from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at McCreary County Funeral Home. Burial will be in McCreary County Cemetery, Whitley City.
Cody Taylor Castillo, 11, of Falmouth, died Saturday on Ky. 330 in Falmouth of injuries suffered in an accident.
He was a student at Southern Elementary School, and a member of the school Cardinal Club and DARE.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Theresa and Fred Whitson of Falmouth; his father and stepmother, Joe and Francene Castillo of Portland; brothers, Eric Draven Castillo and Trey Allen Castillo, both of Portland, Teddy Whitson and Anthony Whitson, both of Falmouth, and Freddie Whitson of Ross; sisters, Michaele Theurer of Falmouth, Danielle Renne Sills and Andrea Nichole Sills, both of Portland; grandparents, Isabel and Jaunita Castillo Jr. of Portland, Bonnie LeMaster of Portland, John H. Theurer of Portland and Mary Rose Whitson of Dry Ridge; and great-grandparents, Isabel and Mary Castillo Sr. of Portland, and Stella Teague of Falmouth.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home, Portland, Ind. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth, and from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salamonia Cemetery, Portland.
June E. Beckett Chamblin, 80, of Maysville, died at 3 p.m. Saturday at Central Baptist Church, Lexington. She was a homemaker and a member of Lawrence Creek Christian Church, Maysville. A son, Ronald Gene Chamblin, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Larue Chamblin; sons, Robert Chamblin and Larry F. Chamblin, both of Washington; daughters, Joyce Brooks of Augusta and Eileen Simpson of Germantown; sisters, Rose Marie Wright of Northern Kentucky and Josephine Mitchell of Dover; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brell Funeral Home, Maysville. Visitation will be after 6 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Charleston Bottoms Cemetery, Maysville. Carol E. Love Cotton, 59, of Latonia, died at 12:12 a.m. Saturday at West Chester, Ohio, Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a horse farm manager with Liberty Hill Farm in Union and a former waitress with Green Lantern Restaurant, Latonia. She was a member of the Housing Authority of Covington.
Survivors include sons, Larry Cotton of Covington and John Cotton of Burlington; her mother, Ruth Lanham Love of Latonia; a sister, Judy Hawn of Florence; brothers, Bobby Love of West Chester and Ron Love of Florence; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright.
Geoffrey Grady, 45, of Ludlow, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.
He was a travel agent with Provident Travel Service. He was a member of Sts. Boniface and James Church, Ludlow, where he was also a member of the church council; a past president of Thomas More College Alumni Association; and a member of Kehoe Council Knights of Columbus in Ludlow and Bishop Flaget Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Grady of Ludlow.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sts. Boniface and James Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow. Dorothy Halpin, 84, of Latonia, died Sunday at Madonna Manor, Villa Hills.

Segred Renee Kabler, 22, of Dover, died Saturday on Kentucky State Route 8 in Maysville in an accident. She was a student.
Survivors include her parents, Hollis Emerson Kabler and Sylvia Sharlene Kabler, both of Dover; brothers, Steven L. Kabler and Hollis G. Kabler, both of Dover; and grandparents, Rinda J. Oliver of Isonville, Barbara B. Kabler and Hollis H. Ka bler of Dover.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dover Christian Church. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Dover.
William J. Naber, 94, of Florence, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a salesman with F.A. Kamp Flooring and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a niece, Jean Burns of Burlington.
Mr. Naber bequeathed his body to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Stith Funeral Home, Florence, is handling arrangements.
Leo J. "Lefty" Schaefer, 97, of Florence, died at 7:30 a.m. Friday at Florence Park Care Center, Florence. He was an investor and and a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Fort Mitchell, and Summit Hills Country Club, Crestview Hills. His first wife, Ruth Schaefer, died in 1962.
Survivors include his wife, Bernadine Busald Schaefer; a stepson, E. Andre Busald of Covington; three step-grandchildren and four step- great-grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in St. Mary Mausoleum, Fort Mitchell. Memorials are suggested to Passionist Nuns, 1151 Donaldson Highway, Erlanger, Ky. 41018. Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, Latonia, is handling arrangements.
Reginald Stewart, 46, of Covington, died Thursday at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati.
He was an installer with Meyer Lawn Sprinkler Service, Cincinnati.

Margaret F. Espohl Tullis, 72, of Dayton, died Friday at her home. She was an office manager with Duff's Restaurants in Cincinnati, a member of St. Bernard Church in Dayton and Senior Citizens of Northern Kentucky.
Survivors include daughters, Gayle Bentley of Bellevue and Laura Nelson of Dayton; sons, Daniel Tullis of Latonia, Mark Tullis of Fort Thomas, and Stephen Tullis of Southgate; a brother, Frank Espohl of Cincinnati; sisters, Mary Callahan of Villa Hills, Helen Glaza of Visalia, Naomi Ruth of Alexandria, and LuAnn Schawe of Taylor Mill; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Joseph H. Verst, 96, of Villa Hills, died Saturday at Madonna Manor, Villa Hills.
He was a salesman with Zimmer Hardware, Covington, a former employee of Crosley Manufacturing Co. and farmer, and was a member of St. Henry Church, Elsmere. He was a member of the church Holy Name Society. His wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Verst, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Ash of Florence; nieces and nephews.

Boyd M. Weber, 92, of Florence, died at 2:20 p.m. Friday at Florence Park Care Center, Florence. He was a retired, self-employed plumber and a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Taylor Mill.
Survivors include a sister, Florence Maloney of Elsmere.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will begin there at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.
