Donald Braun, 70, dedicated father
Donald Lee Braun, 70, of Fort Thomas, a retired pharmacologist with Marion Merrell Dow Co. of Cincinnati, died Friday night at Park Ridge Hospital in Chattanoo ga, Tenn., after suffering a heart attack.
He was a member of St. Therese Church Over 50 Club and Holy Name Society.
"He was the most loving, dedi cated father in the whole world, " said Mr. Braun's daughter, Teri Kruse of Bellevue.
"His children were always first. He would do anything for them.
"He was dedicated to education. He went to college and graduate school and loved to read and learn. He made sure his children had master's degrees or higher."
Mr. Braun enjoyed nature walks and traveling. He especially liked attending Elderhostels, learning- oriented visits to various spots across the United States and around the world.
Other survivors include his wife, Margaret Keuper Braun; daughters, Barbara Nageleisen of Taylor Mill and Becky Manyet of Fort Thomas; a son, John Braun of Beavercreek, Ohio; a brother, Dr. Joseph Braun of Highland Heights; and eight grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ther ese Church, Southgate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
Kathleen V. Segbers Boitman, 66, of Fort Wright, died at 6:16 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Joseph Boitman, died in 1990.
Survivors include sons, Tim Boitman and Joe Boitman, both of Fort Wright; daughters, Ann Cain and Cathee Boitman, both of Fort Wright; brothers, John Segbers, Ted Segbers and Tom Segbers, all of Cincinnati; and eight grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Agnes Church, Fort Wright. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

Charles J. Gosney, 81, of Amelia, Ohio, formerly of California, died Friday at his home.
He was a retired maintenance supervisor with Bethesda North Hospital, Cincinnati, a member of Goshen Lodge No. 119 F&AM and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine J. Gosney; a daughter, Margaret "Peggy" Ohmer of California; a sister, Alma Carr of Latonia; a brother, Cecil Gosney of Poway, Calif.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Alexandria Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Clifford R. Grinninger, 77, of Fort Thomas, died Friday at his home. He was a retired teller with Fifth Third Bank in Bellevue and an organist with several Northern Kentucky churches. He was a Sunday school teacher and a volunteer for the Veterans Administration. His wife, Betty Smith Grinninger, died in 1969.
Survivors include a son, Clifford Allen Grinninger of Fort Thomas; daughters, Cheryl Grinninger and Cynthia Huck, both of Fort Thomas; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Mentor.

Norma L. Hall, 75, of Ghent, died at 12:40 a.m. Saturday at Mountain Crest Nursing Home, Cincinnati.
She was a retired receptionist with the Kroger Co. Her husband, Seldon Hall, died in 1999.
Survivors include sons, Mike W. Hall of Ghent, David S. Hall of Fort Mitchell, and Gary L. Hall, who was missing in action during the Vietnam War; a daughter, Janet L. Hall of Tollesboro; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Highland cemetery Chapel, Fort Mitchell. Visitation will begin there at noon Tuesday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Vera Herbst, 73, of Butler, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.

Charles F. Linn, 69, of Florence, died Thursday on Interstate 74 in Ripley County, Ind., of injuries suffered in an auto accident.
He was a sales representative, a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Florence and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Anna L. Linn; a son, Jeffrey A. Linn of Peru, Ill.; a daughter, Kimberly A. Linn of Florence; six sisters, a brother and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.
Katherine M. Livingston, 77, of Crestview Hills, died at 6:20 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Pius X Church, Edgewood, and Kenton County Homemakers. Her husband, Robert P. Livingston, died in 2001.
Survivors include sons, Robert M. Livingston of Cincinnati and Jeffrey A. Livingston of Lake Worth, Fla.; a brother, Ralph Baute of Cincinnati; sisters, Mildred Foltz of Fort Wright and Laverne Nieberding of Cincinnati; and two grandchildren.

Rose Marie Tiernan O'Hara, 80, of San Diego, formerly of Northern Kentucky, died Tuesday at her home. She was a former teacher with the Mariemont School System in Cincinnati.
Survivors include a son, Frederick O'Hara of San Diego; a daughter, Susan O'Hara of San Diego; a sister, Laura Tiernan Reed of LaJolla, Calif.; and a grandchild.

George F. Plemen, 52, of Erlanger, died Thursday at his home.
He was a dealer with Argosy Casino in Lawrenceburg, Ind., a member of Mary Queen of Heaven Church in Erlanger and an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include brothers, James Plemen of Hudson, Ohio, David Plemen of Beaver Dam, Va., and Joseph Plemen of Cincinnati; nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mary Queen of Heaven Church. Cremation will be at Southwest Ohio Crematory, Milford, Ohio.

Vivian E. Ries, 90, of Taylor Mill, died at 5:10 p.m. Thursday at Highlands of Fort Thomas Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and a member of Madison Avenue Christian Church, Covington. Her husband, Ervin Ries, and sons, William Ries and James Allen Ries, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Jill Wade of Rosemary Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Rita C. Hamberg Waibel, 73, of Newport, died at 6:28 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Spirit Altar Society, St. Ann's Auxiliary, Corpus Christi Social Club and High School Girls Club. Her husband, Clifford "Red" Waibel, died in 1990.
Survivors include daughters, Kathleen Weigand of St. Joseph, Mo., and Judith Meyer of Bellevue; sons, Richard Waibel of Newport, the Rev. Kenneth Waibel of Winchester and Harold Waibel of Independence; sisters, Henrietta Kohls of Newport, Delores Spaeth of Cincinnati, Sister Christopher Hamberg, C.D.P., of Melbourne and Irene Gresham of Covington; a brother, Donald Hamberg of Fort Thomas; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ida Mae Wayne, 76, of Carrollton, died Friday at Green Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center, Carrollton. She was a homemaker and a member of Carrollton Wesleyan Church. Her husbands, Strawder Oldson and William Wayne, both preceded her in death.
Survivors include sisters, Helen Elwood of Shelbyville, Nellie Webster of Muncie, Ind., and Viola Washburn of Pleasureville; nieces and nephews.
