Lucille Louise Mottl, age 93, of Oshkosh, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2002 at Park View Health Care Center. She was born on June 10, 1909 in Oshkosh, but as a small child moved with her parents Peter and Minnie (Renkowitz) Kirsch in Detroit, Michigan. She always called Detroit her home from then on. Lucille married
George Frederick Mottl on October 5, 1935 at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church in Detroit. George preceded her in death on May 27, 1988. Since Lucille’s marriage she has resided in Oshkosh and has been a long time member of St. John’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, George Jr. (Virginia) Mottl of Neenah, Steven (Cynthia) Mottl of Faribult, Minnesota; and a daughter, Diana (Austin) Streblow, of Oshkosh. Six grandchildren, Bruce (Linda)Mottl of Neenah, Michele (Brian) Plach of Neenah, James (Mary) Streblow of Oshkosh, Matthew, Gabriel and Rebecca Mottl of Minnesota. She is further survived by five great-grandchildren, Mindy and Terra Mottl, Amy and Andrew Plach and Caley Hoffman; and step great-grandchildren Bethany and Austin. A special nephew Paul Mottle of Oshkosh also survives. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and five sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, 440 W. South Park Avenue with the Reverend William Van De Kreeke officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Lucille will be buried in Catholic Riverside cemetery in Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established

Mabel E. Weitz, age 91, of Oshkosh, died unexpectedly on Thursday evening, October 10, 2002. She was born on July 12, 1911 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late William F. and Emma (Zwicky) Rothe. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and was a volunteer for Zion Elder Care for many years. Mabel greatly enjoyed cribbage and card playing.
Survivors include two sons, Eugene (Shirley) Blau of Oshkosh, Paul (Kathleen) Dumke of Winneconne; a daughter, Rosemarie (John Sr.)Cornell of Oshkosh. She is further survived by numerous grand and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Vanita Paulick and Violet Schneider; an infant son, David Blau.
Private family services will be held with burial to follow in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.

Violet J. Donahue of Oshkosh passed away at Bethel Home on Sunday, October 13, 2002. She was born on September 17, 1911 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late Edmund Frederick and Rose Katherine (Reinke) Hintz. She married
Robert Oren Donahue on August 9, 1944 in Oshkosh. Robert preceded her in death on May 21, 1986. Violet wa a personal secretary for Del Tox Rug Company for 50 years. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, a member of the 20th Century Club, Mercy Medical Center Auxiliary, the American Red Cross and the Oshkosh Senior Center. Violet will be greatly missed by the Edward Yost families, and her good friends at Zion Apartments.
She is survived by a sister in law, Betty Sandborn of Oshkosh; and is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Violet was preceded in death by sister and brother in law, Evelyn (Leo) Bethke; sisters in law, Josephine Goland and Midge Jagodenski.
Per Violet’s wishes, private services will be held and Violet will be laid to rest in Lake View Memorial Park.

Erwin G. Altmeier, age 72, of Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2002 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on October 2, 1930 in Milwaukee, a son of the late Erwin J. and Mary F. (Largerman) Altmeier. Erwin married
the former Joyce M. Olmstead on May 16, 1953 in Oshkosh. Erwin served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a long time member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church and was a member of AA since July 28, 1973.
Survivors include his wife Joyce of Oshkosh; a daughter, Sharon (Wayne) Link of New Berlin; two sons, Donald Altmeier of Appleton and David (Debra) Altmeier of Neenah; a sister, Carol Samida of Oshkosh. He is further survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sharrie Dunn.
Funeral services for Erwin will be held today, Monday, October 14, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Seefeld Funeral Chapel, 300 N. Eagle Street with the Reverend Joel Olsen officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral chapel from 12 noon until the time of service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park cemetery following cremation.

Doris W. Albrecht, age 79, of Oshkosh, died Thursday evening, October 17, 2002 at All About Life Rehabilitation Center in Fond du Lac. She was born on July 19, 1923 in the Town of Mount Morris to William and Lucile (Thompson) Keup. Doris married
Erwin Albrecht on March 20, 1965 in Wild Rose and he preceded her in death on December 17, 1980.
Doris was a 1940 graduate of Wautoma High School and attended Stout University from 1940-43. She taught at Winneconne from 1943-49 and later at Appleton Vocational School from 1949-59.
Doris was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church; ALCW President; organized Senior Saints; chaired numerous wedding and funeral dinners; Confirmation Teacher for years; Bible Study Leader; started baby showers for Winnebago Conference Lutheran World Relief; church council member; Altar Guild member; Vacation Bible School Teacher; Search Bible Study; Beauty Queen Chaperon; 4-H Club; President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Director of OptiMrs; President, Vice-President, and Secretary of Altrusa Club; State Chairman of City Homemakers Club; State Chairman of Curriculum Committee for Youth and Adult Homemaking Classes for city and vocational.
Survivors include one sister: Ina Anderson of Yuma, Arizona; one aunt: Marie Heuer of Wisconsin Rapids; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorial funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. in Mount Morris Holden Lutheran Church (N3388 Highway 152, Wautoma). Reverend John T. Steinbrecher will officiate and burial will be in the Holden cemetery following cremation. Family and friends may call at the church on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. A memorial in Doris’ memory is being established by her family.
