Robert Powell, retired accountant
Robert Donald Powell, 80, of Fort Thomas, died Saturday at Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport.
He was an accountant with General Electric and a member of Highland United Methodist Church, Fort Thomas and the Woodlawn Volunteer Fire Department. He was a former Woodlawn city councilman, city clerk and marshall, and was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
"He joined the air corps right after Pearl Harbor, " said his wife, Meta Eichelberger Powell.
After serving a total of seven years in the armed forces, the Powell's first son was born and, in 1954, the couple moved to Woodlawn where they lived for 40 years.
Mr. Powell suffered from Parkinson's Disease for 13 years and had battled both colon cancer and heart disease prior to his death.
"He was a very quiet man, really, " said Mrs. Powell. "He liked bowling, golf and enjoyed the Reds. He will certainly be missed by his family."
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include daughters, Sue McLean and Lynn Powell, both of Fort Thomas; a son, Mark R. Powell also of Fort Thomas; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Highland United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Fort Thomas, and from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.

Arthur Lee Blevins, 66, of Germantown, died Friday at his home. He was a farmer and a member of Germantown Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Jones Blevins; sons, Gary Blevins and Michael Blevins, both of Germantown; daughters, Cathy Mains, Nancy Blackburn and Deanna Jones, all of Germantown, Linda Mitchell of Cincinnati and Lisa Smith of Mississippi; sisters, Nellie Poston of Maysville, Ruby Boone of Flemingsburg, Joca Sloane of Morehead and Lillie Jones of Augusta; brothers, Albert Blevins, Bill Blevins and Ira Blevins, all of Augusta, and Cecil Blevins of Louisville; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Germantown Baptist Church. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Germantown. Frank Boyers, 70, of Hamilton, Ohio, formerly of Dayton, died Saturday at his home. He was a retired office worker with Central Steel Co., a driver with Universal Transportation in Cincinnati and a member of the Cincinnati Viking Club. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Pelfrey Boyers; sons, David Boyers of Burlington and Kevin Boyers of Hamilton, Ohio; daughters, Barbara Hevel of Villa Hills and Jane Myles of Oklahoma City; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Tuesday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Alexandria Cemetery.
Alva Mae "Chris" Tupman Centner, 78, of Villa Hills, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a former employee of Wadsworth Watch Co., the Colonnade Cafeteria and Kopper Kettle Cafeteria.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur Centner; sons, Cmdr. Donald J. Centner of Orange Park, Fla., and Cmdr. Ronald F. Centner of Fallon, Nev., both physicians in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps, Steven D. Centner, James A. Centner and Robert M. Centner, all of Villa Hills; a daughter, Marsha Ann Carlson of Goshen, Ohio; a sister, Mary Elvena Roberts of Burlington; a brother, James "Tittle" Tupman of Burlington; and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Burlington. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hebron Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
Theda Trapp Edmonds, 85, of Williamstown, died Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John Evangelical Church, Cincinnati.
Survivors include her husband, John "Jack" Edmonds; daughters, Jackie Lonkard of Williamstown and Connie Underwood of Cincinnati; a son, Dale R. Edmonds of Hamilton, Ohio; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

John L. Hiltenbeitel, of Dayton, died Sunday at Highlands of Fort Thomas nursing home. He was a painter with Western & Southern Co. in Cincinnati, a freelance artist and a member of St. John Anglican Church, Dayton. He bowled and golfed and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Bussberg Hiltenbeitel; a daughter, Lori Hiltenbeitel of Dayton; and a sister, Bernadine McDaniel of Bellevue.

Julius J. McLemore, 73, of Fort Mitchell, died at 4:10 a.m. Sunday at Florence Park Care Center, Florence. He was a retired final inspector with Ford Motor Co., Cincinnati, a member of Latonia Masonic Lodge No. 746, Syrian Temple in Cincinnati and Indra Consistory of the Scottish Rite. He was an Army Air Corps veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Jarette B. Downey McLemore; a son, Jeffrey L. McLemore of Florence; brothers, Jasper McLemore of Florida and Wiley McLemore of the state of California; and a sister, Pauline Martin of Florence.

Carol Sue Pennington, 55, of Florence, died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a homemaker.

Edwina Holbrook Redmon, 90, of Owenton, died Sunday at Owenton Manor. She was a retired postal clerk with the Owenton post office. A son, Ronnie Redmon, preceded her in death.

John T. "Jack" Rusconi, 76, of Erlanger, died at 4:40 p.m. Friday at University Hospital, Cincinnati.
He was a restaurant worker and a member of Mary Queen of Heaven Church, Erlanger, and the Theater Guild, Covington.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Margaret Diephaus Rusconi; daughters, Rose Marie Lux of Fort Mitchell, Mary Elizabeth Dietz of Burlington and Jennifer Schaefer of Florence; a son, David T. Rusconi of Erlanger; a brother, William Rusconi of Cincinnati; and four grandchildren.

Wilma L. Skeen, 83, of Glencoe, died at 8:17 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a housekeeper with Western-Southern Life Insurance Co. and a member of Ludlow Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Homer Mosley of Glencoe; daughters, Jean Westendorf of Cincinnati and Kay Barcol of Glencoe; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Ralph Thomas Williams, 81, of Carrollton, died Saturday at his home. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Carrollton Wesleyan Church. His wife, Edna Mae Williams, died in 1992. A son, John Williams, died in 1995.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Keith of Carrollton; a brother, Kenneth Williams of Turners Station; sisters, Lois Myers of Covington and Bessie Sullivan of Campbellsburg; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
