Florence Feuss, 101, wife, loving mother
Florence Graziani Feuss of Fort Mitchell was a wife, a homemaker - even something of a world travel er.
But to her children, she was a one-of-a-kind woman.
"She was a very giving and a very loving mother, " said her daughter, Maryanne Feuss Rivard of Park Hills.
"She was just a very special per son."
Florence Feuss died Tuesday evening at the Marjorie P. Lee Home in Hyde Park, Cincinnati. She was 101.
Mrs. Feuss grew up in Coving ton and became a homemaker.
She and her husband, Charles D. "Chas" Feuss Sr., did some traveling - including a trip to Mexico. They lived in Tucson, Ariz., for about 10 years, then moved back to the Cincinnati area shortly before he died in 1962. They were married
for 49 years.
In the late 1960s, Mrs. Feuss ventured behind the "Iron Curtain" and into what was then Yugoslavia.
"She had a funny story that, all of a sudden, a large group of Communist leaders came to town and they were put out of their hotels, " Mrs. Rivard said.
She said her mother loved the beauty of the Adriatic Sea.
el, 2 Mrs. Feuss was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Covington, the Church of the Advent in Walnut Hills, the Fort Mitchell Country Club and the Cincinnati Women's Club.
el, 2 Besides her daughter, Mrs. Feuss is survived by a son, Charles D. Feuss Jr. of Cincinnati; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
el, 2 Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Highland cemetery Chapel in Fort Mitchell.
Entombment will be in the Feuss mausoleum at the cemetery.

Freda Work Adams, 86, of Dry Ridge, died at 5:28 p.m. Tuesday at Grant Manor, Williamstown. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Olivet Church of Christ, Williamstown. Her husband, A. S. Adams, died in 1992. Sons, Arthur Allen Adams and Franklin D. Adams, died in 1980 and 1999, respectively.
Survivors include a son, Marion "Shorty" Adams of Crittenden; a daughter, Anna Marie Evans of Crittenden; a brother, Andrew Work of Dry Ridge; sisters, Eloise Adams of Dry Ridge and Esther Gray of Pewaukee, Wis.; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, in care of Vicki Jump, 1205 Warsaw Road, Dry Ridge, Ky. 41035.
James E. Albertson, 65, of Erlanger, died Tuesday at his home. He was a retired sheet metal worker with Durodyne Midwest Co.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Bickers Albertson; daughters, Joy Belser of Visalia and Paula Scott of Taylor Mill; a son, James Albertson of Erlanger; a brother, John Albertson of St. Augustine, Fla.; sisters, Marge Hayden of Florence and Betty Million of Crittenden; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be private. Kowalk Funeral Home, Hamilton, Ohio, is handling arrangements.
Ruth Ann Bush, 75, of Alexandria, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a cook with Carmel Manor Nursing Home, Fort Thomas.
Survivors include sons, George S. Bush of Union and William Vernon Bush of Boston; a daughter, Ruth A. Wheatley of Florence; and a brother, David Bryan Jones of Charleston, S.C.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Alexandria Funeral Home. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Alexandria Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
Robert William Carr, 74, of Latonia, died at 7:49 p.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.
He was a retired assembler with Ford Motor Co., Cincinnati, and a member of First Christian Church, Covington. He was a member of Covington Lodge No. 109 F&AM, Scottish Rite, and United Auto Workers Union Local No. 863, Cincinnati.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Lee Carr; sons, Robert A. Carr of Park Hills, William B. Carr of Independence and Bradford S. Carr of Hebron; daughters, Nancy Unkraut of Florence, Cynthia Baker of Independence, Melinda Parks of Alexandria, Tanya Goetz of Florence, Yvette Bailey of Latonia and Taffiny Paul of Ludlow; a half-sister, Mary Jane Reuter of Cincinnati; 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Taylor Mill. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Scottish Rite services at 7:15 p.m. and Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge. Lawrence "Wedo" Christian, of Key West, Fla., formerly of Newport, died Saturday at his home.
He was a retired Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Arleen Christian; sons, Michael Christian of Ludlow and Mark Christian of Seat tle; brothers, Thomas Christian of Florence, and Ronnie Christian of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; and sisters, Kathleen Austin of Florence, Judy Surwood of Key West and Denise Christian of Newport.

Kenneth Ray "Chicken" Cummins, 67, of Falmouth, died Wednesday at his home. He was a farmer and a member of Oakland Christian Church, Pendleton County, the Pendleton County Foxhunters and Pendleton County Club.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Cummins; a son, Tony Ray Cummins of Richmond; his mother, Virginia Field Cummins of Falmouth; his brother, James Allen Cummins of Falmouth; and two grandchildren.

Margaret L. Roberts Gesling, 90, of Fort Mitchell, died at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday at Woodcrest Manor, Elsmere. She was a retired office clerk with Shell Oil Co. and a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Fort Mitchell. Her husband, Norbert B. Gesling, died in 1998.
Survivors include daughters, Anita Schuler of Fort Wright and Jean Ann Zeck of Crescent Springs; brothers, Kenneth Roberts of Union, Donald Roberts and Richard Roberts, both of Florence; sisters, Dorothy Sweeney of Covington and Jo Ann Lindemann of Fort Thomas; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Harris Wade Haley, 42, of Latonia, died at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington.
Survivors include a foster brother, Clifford Thomas of Petersburg; and sisters, Robin Johnson of Atlantic Beach, Fla., and Karen Kreigh of Loganville, Ga.

William "Buster" Howard, 72, of Sparta, died Tuesday at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. He was a farmer and a member of New Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Gibson Howard; sons, Larry D. Howard of Squiresville and Steven W. Howard of Bedford; a daughter, Sandy Bush of Owenton; brothers, Charles E. Howard of Squiresville, James Howard and Delbert Howard, both of Owenton, and Beebe Howard of New Liberty; sisters, Ruby Frazier of Squiresville, Lucille Howard of Hesler, Dorothy Smith of Monterey and Betty Simpson of Lexington; and four grandchildren.

Gimmie Laytart, 64, of Fort Thomas, died Sunday at Lakeside Place Nursing Home, Highland Heights.

Margaret P. Moul, 92, of Newport, died at 10:25 p.m. Dec. 30 at Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport. Her husband, Daniel Moul, died in 1993.
Survivors include sons, David Moul of Fort Mitchell and Daniel Moul of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a brother, Edward Pieck of Tampa, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

Viola Phelps, 87, of Erlanger, died Saturday at Villa Springs Health Care Center, Erlanger. She was a member of Ninth Street Baptist Church in Covington and H. Berry Smith VFW Post No. 7453. Her husband, Henderson Phelps, preceded her in death.
Survivors include brothers, Isaac Bruton and Raymond Bruton, both of Winchester; and a sister, Mary Emma Young of Cincinnati.

Catherine M. Schmidt, 76, of Erlanger, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a retired clerk for Ruben Donnelly Co., Cincinnati.

Raymond A. Seifert, 82, of Edgewood, died Tuesday at his home.
He was owner of Seifert's bakery in Covington, and was a master baker. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Monsignor Ahmann-Bishop Carrell Council, and was a grand knight and a fourth degree knight. He was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Carole Glover Seifert, preceded him in death.
Survivors include daughters, Maryloretto Resing, Irene Sullivan and Angie Hein; a sister, Charlotte "Chotts" Girmann; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Timothy Troy Stewart, 17, of Falmouth, died Tuesday in an automobile accident on U.S. 27 in Alexandria. He was a painter with Tru Cut Painting Co., Alexandria.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Sherry and Warren Werrmann of Falmouth; brothers, Casey Stewart of Falmouth and Ben Stewart of Wallkill, N.Y.; stepbrothers, Dave Werrmann of Cold Spring and Darren Werrmann of Butler; maternal grandmother, Audrey Knepp of Falmouth; paternal grandmother, Jean Johnson of Anderson, Ind.; and paternal stepgrandmother, Viloa Grace Werrmann of Highland Heights.

Rev. Howard A. Wessling, 91, of Miami, formerly of Newport, died Jan. 3 in Miami. He was a columnist with the Paducah Sun-Democrat, a frequent contributor to the official newspaper of the Lutheran church, The Lutheran, and had a radio show, "The Widening Circle, " on a Paducah radio station. He pastored several churches.
His wife, Myrtle Risch Wessling, died in 1999. A son, Ronald Wessling, died in 1968.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Wessling of Miami; a daughter, Janet M. Whitling of Miami; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.
Clara B. Wilson, 73, of Latonia, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony Church, Taylor Mill.
Her husband, James T. Wilson, died in 1976.
Survivors include a son, John R. Wilson of Corona, Calif.; and a grandson.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Church, Taylor Mill.
Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia, followed by prayers. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright.
