Lester Tomlinson, barber shop owner
Lester Tomlinson, 82, of Worthville, died Friday at Tri-County Baptist Hospital, LaGrange.
Mr. Tomlinson was a retired owner of Corner Barber Shop, Carrollton, a former member of Carroll County Board of Education and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Hackett Tomlinson; a daughter, Patti Glover of Jamestown; a stepdaugh ter, Nancy Rankin Gassman of Forreston, Ill.; sons, Larry Tomlinson of Lexington and Hugh Tomlinson of Harrison, Ohio; brothers, Ed Tomlinson of St. Petersburg, Fla., Roy Tomlinson of Ghent and David Tomlinson of Union City, Tenn.; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Moffett Cemetery, Milton.

Carrie Bradbury, 97, of Butler, died Sunday at River Valley Nursing Home, Butler.
Arrangements are pending at Peoples Funeral Home, Butler.
Fannie Mae Brumett, 77, of Cynthiana, died Saturday at her home.
She was a homemaker and a member of Cynthiana Christian Church, Harrison County Homemakers and Cynthiana Christian Church Christian Women's Fellowship.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cynthiana Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana.

Betty Daniel, 74, of Taylor mill, died Sunday at Mary Rose Mission, Covington.

Dianna Frommel, 44, of Fort Thomas, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North Hospice Unit, Covington.
Arrangements are pending at Peoples Funeral Home, Grants Lick.
James R. Malone, 77, of Erlanger, died Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
He was a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service and a member of Mary Queen of Heaven Church, Erlanger.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
His wife, Martha Malone, died in 1998.
A son, Donald Malone, died June 15.
Survivors include daughters, Kathy Juergens of Cincinnati and Donna Houp of Erlanger; sons, James R. Malone II of Florence, Kim C. Malone of Villa Hills, Robert K. Malone of Minneapolis and Barry T. Malone of Erlanger; 24 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mary Queen of Heaven Church.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger.

Katherine Cummins McElfresh, 87, of Warsaw, died at 11 p.m. Friday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.
She was a retired assembly line inspector with American Standard Plumbing Manufacturing Co., Cincinnati, and a member of Covington Baptist Temple.
Her first husband, Robert Cummins, died in 1967.
Her second husband, William Woodrow McElfresh, died in 1996.
Survivors include a son, Tim Cummins of Hamersville, Ohio; a daughter, Shirley Stevens of Williamstown; a brother, John Courtney of Williamstown; a sister, Bunnie Roberts of Fort Mitchell; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.

David Wilson, of Cynthiana, died Nov. 21 at Edgemont Manor Nursing Home, Cynthiana.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Keen Cemetery, Jessamine County.

Kenneth Earl Young, 77, of Florence, died Saturday at his home.
He was a construction manager with Frank Messer & Sons Construction Co. and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Monet Waller Young; a daughter, Cindy Porter of Florence; sons, Kenny Young, at home, and Gary McCarty of Mississippi; a sister, Wanda Kerr of Williamsburg, Ohio; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence.
Visitation will begin there at 1 p.m.
Burial will be in Walton Cemetery.
