Minnie Ellen Jarman, 92, was married
for 74 years
Minnie Ellen Jarman, 92, of Hebron, a homemaker who lived on the same farm since 1928 and was married
74 years, died Saturday at Mercy Franciscan Hospital at Mount Airy in Cincinnati.
She is survived by her husband, Leo Jarman, 93.
"She was a classic homemaker, " said her son, Cecil D. Jarman of Colerain Township in suburban Cincinnati.
"She loved to bake and cook. She enjoyed flower gardening. She liked to make quilts. She enjoyed visits from her grandchildren.
"She was simply a good person who tried very hard at everything she did."
Mrs. Jarman was preceded in death by daughters Mary Lee Sharon and Hazel Mae Jarman.
Other survivors include sisters Christine Marshall of Florence and Ruby Watts of Hebron, five grandchildren and several great- grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Burial will be in Hebron Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
Martha Arnsparger, 75, of Covington, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.

Christopher "Tank" Bolin, 27, of Shelbyville, died Saturday at Jewish Hospital, Shelbyville. He was an employee of Ford Motor Co. and B&N; Food Market, Shelbyville, and a farmer.
Survivors include his parents, Wallace and Connie Whitcomb Bolin of Shelbyville; a brother, Jonathan Shane Bolin of Crestview Hills; and grandmothers, Jeanette Bolin and Sarah Stamper, both of Shelbyville.

Charles A. Bray, 72, of Bromley, died Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati.
He was a foreman with Crouse Hinds Inc., Cincinnati, and a former member of the Ludlow Veterans of Foreign Wars and Kelly Furnish VFW Post No. 7099, Covington. He was a Navy veteran.
Survivors include a son, Chuck Bray of Burlington; daughters, Peggy Granger and Sherry Snyder, both of Florence; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

John Carl, 54, of Villa Hills, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.

Fay Carroll, 78, of Latonia, died at 9:25 a.m. Sunday at Rosedale Manor, Latonia.
She was a retired beautician and owner of Fay's Beauty Salon, Latonia. She was a charter member of Lakeside Christian Church, Lakeside Park, and was involved in various women groups there. Her Husband, Raymond Carroll, died in 1984.
Survivors include a son, Mark R. Carroll of Ludlow; daughters, Barb Jones of Villa Hills and Betty Jo Redix of Latonia; stepdaughters, Dixie Manno of Indianapolis, and Joan Hay of Fort Thomas; a sister, Dorothy Butt of Findlay, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

James "Dip" Casson, 80, of Grants Lick, died Saturday at his home. He was a retired employee of Chevron Oil Co., a member of Grants Lick Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Smith Casson; daughters, Dolly Hesler and Peggy Ahrman, both of Grants Lick; a brother, Bernie Casson of Grants Lick; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Thelma Marquita Faris, 82, of Maysville, died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati. She was a nurse with Hayswood Hospital, Maysville, and a member of First Baptist Church of Maysville and the Kentucky Nurses Association.
Survivors include a brother, Frank Hart Farris of Maysville; nieces and nephews.

Paulette Mary Gill, 55, of Flemingsburg, died at 6:06 p.m. Friday at Fleming County Hospital, Flemingsburg. She was a waitress with Frisch's Restaurant, Aberdeen, Ohio.
Survivors include her husband, James Vernon Gill; a son, James Vernon Gill Jr. of Maysville; daughters, Paulette Yvonne Gill of Flemingsburg and Lisa McBride of Knoxville, Tenn.; brothers, James Caywood Cooper of Lexington and Ronald Jay Cooper of Maysville; and three grandchildren.

John J. Heringer, 76, of California, died Friday at his home. He was a retired, self-employed milk hauler and owner of BH&T Milk Transport, and was a member of St. Mary Church, Alexandria.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Heringer; sons, Wayne Heringer of Cold Spring and Jerry Heringer of Butler; a daughter, Debbie Stegeman of Cold Spring; a sister, Rosemary Clines of California; and eight grandchildren.

Joan S. Keller, 73, of Ludlow, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker and a member of Ludlow Grandmothers Club. Her husband, Robert Keller, died in 1988.
Survivors include a son, Keith Keller of Villa Hills; and two grandchildren.

John Kenneth Kidwell, 17, of Covington, died Friday on Ky. 17 in Covington in an automobile accident.
He was a junior at Scott High School and a lead server with Marriott Brighton Gardens, Edgewood. He was a member of Fellowship of Christian Students, First Church of God in Latonia and the church's youth group.
Survivors include his parents, John Thomas Kidwell and Sandra Hall Kidwell, both of Covington; sisters, Jennifer Lee Kidwell and Elizabeth Sue Hall, both of Covington; and grandmother, Virginia Robison of Latonia.

Martha S. Mabry, 86, of Florence, died Saturday at her home. She was a dental assistant. Her husband, Marvin "Bud" Mabry, died in 1986.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice M. Cantrell of Florence; a sister, Mary Meyer of Wisconsin; brothers, Donald Saylor of Florida and Jean Saylor of the state of California; four grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Elmer Galen Martin, 84, of Morning View, died Friday at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Lexington. He was a welder with Interlake Steel, a member of Stringtown Christian Church and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Martin of Morning View; a sister, Gaylena Christie of Florence; and a granddaughter.

Juanita Faith Hutsell Middleton, 79, of Crittenden, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Grant County, Williamstown. She was a retired secretary with Bank of Crittenden and Ballard Insurance Agency, Williamstown. She was a member of Sherman Baptist Church in Dry Ridge and the Williamstown Home makers Club. Her husband, Randall Middleton, died in 1990.
Survivors include sons, Randy Middleton of Dry Ridge; sisters, Sarah "Dean" Collier of Crittenden and Murvil Hall of Glencoe; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Lucille Holbert Miller, 86, of Louisville, formerly of Owen County, died Saturday at Parkway Medical Center in Louisville. She was a retired nurse and a member of Salem Baptist Church in Owenton and the Order of the Eastern Star. Her husband, William Frances Miller, preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, Thomas G. Miller of Mount Washington and Sidney A. Miller of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Helen Morris of Largo, Fla., Christine Smith of Cincinnati and Rose Casteel of Washington; four grandchildren.

William T. Mitchell, 59, of Maysville, died at 11:37 p.m. Friday at Meadowview Regional Medical Center, Maysville. He was a tinsmith, a former employee of Verville Construction Co. and an Army veteran.

Harry C. Pettit, 95, of Dry Ridge, died Saturday at Grant Manor Health Care Center, Williamstown. He was an inspector with AT&T; and a member of First Baptist Church on Pinellas Park, Fla. His wife, Martha Pettit, died Oct. 18.
Survivors include a sister, Hazel Hulett of Williamstown.

Harold "Mark" Risen, 72, of Williamstown, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington.
He was a postmaster with the U.S. Postal Service, a former Williamstown city councilman and city clerk, and a member of Williams town Baptist Church. He was a former mail clerk with the Southern Railway, a member of Grant Lodge No. 85 F&AM in Williamstown, Valley of Covington Scottish Rite and Syrian Temple Shrine, Cincinnati and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include brothers, Arnold Risen of Cleveland and John D. Risen of Williamstown; and a sister, Ruth Ster ling of Wheaton, Md.

Walter Schild, 92, of Taylor Mill, died at 9 a.m. Saturday at his home.
He was a retired machinist. His wife, Elizabeth Schild, died in 2000.

Geneva Mae Thornton, 89, of Dry Ridge, died Saturday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg. She was a retired teacher with Grant County Schools and a member of Dry Ridge Baptist Church and the Grant County Retired Teachers Association. Her husband, Carl Thornton, died in 1956.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Souder of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Vernon "Red" Townsend, 65, of Owenton, died Saturday at New Horizon Medical Center, Owenton. He was a retired tanker man with Ashland Oil.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Brewer Townsend; sons, DeWayne Townsend of Owenton and Vernon "Denny" Townsend of Morning View; a sister, Ina Smith of Beattyville; and two grandchildren.

Harold Ray Woolums, 73, of Georgetown, died Saturday at Georgetown Community Hospital.
He was a retired salesman with Radac Corp., Newport and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
