'Jack' Neuhaus, devoted to St. Benedict Church
John "Jack" Neuhaus was a former clerk in the Kenton County Circuit Clerk's Office who devoted hi s last years to his beloved St. Benedict Church in Covington.
A member there for more than 53 years, Mr. Neuhaus helped serve Mass daily and was a Eucharistic minister as well as a member of the Bereavement Committee, the Holy Name Society and the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
A Covington resident, Mr. Neuhaus died Friday morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North i n Covington. He was 70.
"He loved to spend time with his friends at St. Benedict, volunteering for their bingos, working at their festivals and singing in the choir, " said a son, David Neuhaus of Edgewood. "Dad loved to make his community better and his church better because it was so much a part of his life. That was where he went to grade school and where his mom and dad went to church."
Mr. Neuhaus was a native of Covington and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
He was a trucking supervisor at Bavarian Brewery in Covington, where he worked 20 years, and an inside salesman for Johnson Electric in Cincinnati, where he worked 15 years, before he took the job at the circuit clerk's office and worked there for 10 years.
Mr. Neuhaus was a volunteer in the pharmacy department at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington and sponsored a child through the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging.
Mr. Neuhaus visited his wife, Rosemary C. Mueller Neuhaus, who suffers from Alzheimer's Disease, daily at Rosedale Manor Nursing Home in Latonia. The couple was married
nearly 45 years .
Other survivors include sons, Jerry Neuhaus of Covington and Jack Neuhaus of Amelia, Ohio; daughters, Mary Anne Neuhaus and Theresa Neuhaus, both of Erlanger; brothers, Chuck Neuhaus of Cincinnati and Rich Neuhaus of Covington; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at St. Benedict Church in Covington. Visitation will be fr om 4 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Covington, followed by prayers.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mother of God cemetery in Fort Wright.

Barry Bloemer, 67, of Ludlow, died Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington.
He was a clerk with the Howard Adams B. P. service station in Florence, a member of Ludlow Christian Church and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Lois Moak Bloemer; a son, Matthew Bloemer of Jeffersonville, Ind.; daughters, Susan Rabe of Sparta, Virginia Goodpaster of Thornton, Fla., Barbara Gemmer of Elsmere, Brenda Anness of Erlanger, Jane Yates of Ludlow and Aimee Napier of Covington; a sister, Jean McGlassen of Hebron; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow. Cremation will be at Southwest Ohio Cremation Co., Cincinnati. Memorials are suggested to Ludlow Christian Church, 59 Elm St. Ludlow, Ky. 41016.
Anne Conrad Caudill, 97, of Louisville, died Saturday at Christian Health Center in Louisville.
She was a professor for Indiana University in Kokomo, Ind., Farlham University in Richmond, Ind., Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and the University of Tucson in Arizona. She also was a member of First Baptist Church in Richmond, Ind.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel C. Caudill; a brother, Harmon B. Conrad of Clearwater, Fla.; and a sister, Marietta Brooke of Cincinnati.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will begin there at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.

Joyce England, 72, of Falmouth, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. Arrangements are pending at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth.
Charles Edward Heidelman, 52, of Newport, died Friday at his home. He was an attorney with an office in Newport.
Survivors include a brother, Dan Heidelman of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a niece and a nephew.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Memorials are suggested to Homeward Youth programs.
Dollie Ernest Heisel, 92, of Madeira, Ohio, formerly of Peach Grove, died Friday at Manor Care Woodside Nursing Home, Madeira. She was a homemaker.
Her husband, Carl Heisel, died in 1968. A son, John Heisel, died in 1996.
Survivors include daughters, Fannie Adams of Maineville, Ohio, and Carolyn McGuire of Burnt Ranch, Calif.; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.
Services were Saturday at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth. Burial was in Peach Grove Cemetery.
Wanda L. Hutson, 79, of Villa Hills, died at 5:50 a.m. Saturday at her daughter's home in Newport.
She was a nurses' aide with St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington, and attended Pleasant View Baptist Church of Bromley. Her husband, William Hutson, died in 1981.
Survivors include a son, Robert Hutson of Villa Hills; daughters, Brenda Moore of Bromley, Reki Mincey of Owenton, and Connie Williams, Tina Hutson and Gina Hutson, all of Newport; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Ludlow. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

Wilma Wanda Jackson Laughlin, 86, of Latonia, died at 11 a.m. Friday at Highlands of Fort Thomas nursing home.
She was a retired clerk with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and a member of Daughters of America, Melody Makers of Senior Citizens of Northern Kentucky.
Her husband, John Laughlin, died in 1965.
Survivors include a son, Michael J. Laughlin of Seattle; a daughter, Margaret Drees of Fort Thomas; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

Charles E. O'Banion, 77, of Williamstown, died Friday at his home.
He was a cosmetologist with Geneva's Beauty Box, and a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Orion Lodge No. 222 F&AM in Falmouth, and the Falmouth American Legion and VFW posts.
He also was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Geneva O'Banion, preceded him in death.
Survivors include daughters, Robin Adams of Williamstown and Charlene Sanders of Dry Ridge; a sister, Anne Cellucci of Cincinnati; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery.

Karen Davis Parker, 51, of Butler, died Thursday at University Medical Center, Lexington.
She was an extension agent for the University of Kentucky in Pendleton County, and a member of Christ Church at Eastside Park, Butler.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Parker of Butler; daughters, Megan Davis of Auburn, Ala ., and Marla Davis of Butler; stepdaughters, Holly Parker of Alexandria, and Heather Parker and Maggie Parker, both of Lexington; her parents, Robert and Mary Bennett Latimer of Williamstown; brothers, Larry Latimer of Hamilton, Ohio, and Robert Latimer of Cincinnati; and two grandchildren.
Services were this morning at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Burial was in New Bethel Cemetery, Verona.

Ann C. Roberts, 80, of Latonia, died Saturday at Rosedale Manor in Latonia. She was a retired sales clerk with Madison Office Products.

Gladys Skurna, 83, of Villa Hills, died Saturday at Madonna Manor, Villa Hills. She was a homemaker. Her husband, George James Skurna, died in 1993.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Tsukano of Centreville, Va.; sisters, Norene Redman of Poland, Ohio, and Edna Kemmis of Yorba Linda, Calif.; a brother, Donald Kirk of Youngstown, Ohio; two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.

Patrick Takayoshi Takaoka, 5 months, son of Gary and Dawn Takaoka of Florence, died Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.
Other survivors include brothers, Ian Takaoka and Darren Takaoka, both at home; a sister, Sean Takaoka, at home; grandparents, Yoshiro and Masumi Takaoka of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and Mary Henderson-Morton and Bob Morton of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and great-grandmother, Ichiko Tomota of Honolulu.

Eugene R. Warndorf, 68, of Fort Thomas, died at 3:30 p.m. Friday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was the retired owner of Cincinnati Fab-Well Inc., and a member of Bishop Flaget Council No. 1301 Knights of Columbus and Lawler-Hanlon VFW Post No. 5662, Newport.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Burkart Warndorf; a daughter, Kellie Kluemper of Fort Thomas; his mother, Clara Warndorf of Fort Thomas; a sister, Jacqueline Haas of Fort Thomas; a brother, Gerald Warndorf of Florence; and a grandson.

Marjorie M. O'Hara Williams, 94, of West Chester, Ohio, formerly of Maysville, died Saturday at West Chester Nursing Rehabilitation Residence.
She was a homemaker. Her husbands, Ira Bowery and John Williams, both preceded her in death. A son, William Bowery, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, John Bowery of Vienna, W.Va., Richard Bowery of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Robert Bowery of Cincinnati, David Bowery of Maysville and Thomas Bowery of New Port Richey, Fla .; 34 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
