Norman 'Tuck' Kaiser, 59, ardent sportsman
Norman E. "Tuck" Kaiser was an ardent sportsman and conservationist.
"He was a very active, outgoing person, " said Mr. Kaiser's wife of 36 years, Mary. "He hunted and fished, he was a marathon runner and he coached Little League and softball teams."
Mr. Kaiser, 59, of Wilder, was killed Wednesday in an auto accident on Columbia Parkway in Cincinnati.
He was vice president and service manager of Post Browning Inc. of Cincinnati, which provides equipment and furnishings for banks.
He was a member of the American Society of Industrial Security.
Before joining Post Browning, Mr. Kaiser worked 26 years for Fifth-Third Bank in computer operations and property management.
The native of Southgate graduated from Newport Central Catholic High School and studied at the University of Cincinnati.
Mr. Kaiser was past president of the Bob White Conservation Club.
"He was very interested in conservation, " said Mrs. Kaiser. "As a younger man, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and then he went into trap shooting."
Mr. Kaiser ran in the New York City Marathon, but in recent years his favorite sport was golf.
"He also enjoyed working with youth teams, " said Mrs. Kaiser. "He coached Little League baseball and girls' softball."
Other survivors include a daughter, Annie Albrinck of Cincinnati; sons, Michael J. Kaiser of Florence, Stephen R. Kaiser and Joseph A. Kaiser, both of Wilder; and six grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Therese Church in Southgate.
There will be no visitation.
Burial will be at St. Stephen cemetery in Fort Thomas.

Ruth Axt, 95, of Cincinnati, formerly of Dayton, died Wednesday at East Galbraith Health Care Center in Cincinnati.
She was a homemaker and a member of Christian Fellowship, First Baptist Church, Dayton. Her husband, Harold Axt, died in 1985.
Survivors include a son, David H. Axt of Cincinnati; daughters, Jeanne Bridewell of Alexandria and Faye Saddlemire of Cincinnati; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue. Visitation will begin there at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, 6612 Dixie Highway, Suite 2A, Florence, Ky. 41042.
Mary A. Kouns Back, 72, of Alexandria died Thursday at her home after a long illness. She was an executive secretary, and a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Alexandria.
Survivors include sons, William Egan of Florence, Michael Egan of Wilder, Tim Egan and Frank Plantholt, both of Alexandria; daughters, Marrietta Ferring of Grants Lick, Sandy Egan of Ft. Mitchell, and Connie Sharp of Falmouth; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Main Street Baptist Church. Her body was bequeathed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Science department.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northern Kentucky.
Bernard J. Kemphaus, 88, of Fort Wright, died at 8:47 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a rate clerk with L&N; Railroad and Associated Truck Lines.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Esther Hoffman Kemphaus; sons, Jim B. Kemphaus of Fort Wright and Gary C. Kemphaus of Amsterdam, The Netherlands; daughters, Sandy L. Konerman of Alexandria and Sharon A. Cottingham of Fort Wright; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Agnes Church, Fort Wright. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright. Memorials are suggested to Diocesan Catholic Children's Home, 75 Orphanage Road, Fort Mitchell, Ky. 41017; or the charity of the donor's choice.
Ralph Thomas LaFollette, 65, of Falmouth, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with Glaza Construction Co.
Survivors include his wife, Faye LaFollette; sons, Mike LaFollette of Knoxville, Tenn., and David LaFollette of Falmouth; daughters, Paula LaFollette of Falmouth, Tracey Jones of Newport, and Michelle LaFollette of Michigan; a brother, Lester LaFollette of Campbell County; sisters, Joyce Neal of Demossville and Helen LaFollette of Falmouth; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, 401 E. 20th St., Covington, Ky. 41014.
Paulette R. Leeke, 60, of Independence, died Tuesday at her home.

James N. Martin Jr., 55, of Hebron, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
He was a satellite dish installer with IBM, a member of Hebron Lutheran Church and coached various baseball and basketball teams with his children.
Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Martin; a son, James N. Martin III of Burlington; and daughters, Nicole Martin and Stacey Martin, both of Hebron.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Hebron Lutheran Church. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Hebron Lutheran Church Cemetery. Naomi J. Rogers, 71, of Newport, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Ray Rogers, died last year.
Survivors include daughters, Vicki Tabor of Frankfort, Brenda Lovelace of Falmouth, Patti Trimnell, Gina Waechter and Gi Gi Tabor, all of Newport; sons, Terry Rogers of Hebron, Tim Rogers of Elsmere and Danny Rogers of Newport; 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Marcella Rogers Wright, 64, of Corinth, died at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Grant County, Williamstown. She was a homemaker and a member of Corinth Christian Church. She was a member of the church Ladies Aid Society.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur "Banny" Wright; a son, Kevin Wright of Dry Ridge; a sister, Rita Rogers of Cincinnati; and two grandchildren.
