Barbara Collier, 64, taught for 37 years
Barbara M. Collier dedicated much of her life to teaching children.
Ms. Collier taught gifted and talented students at River Ridge Elementary School in Villa Hills during the final years of her 37-year teaching career. She retired in 1996.
"She had literally hundreds of students from Northern Kentucky, " her husband of 37 years, Robert Collier said.
Mrs. Collier, 64, of Kenton Hills, died at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington.
She taught in California, Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Lexington and Cincinnati before moving to Northern Kentucky, he husband said.
"That was her life, " he said. "She was totally dedicated."
Ms. Collier, who graduated from the University of Kentucky, especially enjoyed teaching children to read, her husband said.
After her retirement, Mrs. Collier continued her education, studying French and Spanish at Northern Kentucky University.
She also stayed physically active, playing tennis in a USTA Senior tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C., last year.
Other survivors include sisters, Bonnie Burton and Lucille Yost, both of Ashland; and a brother, Jack Ferguson of Dayton.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, Latonia. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum, Ashland.
Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 401 E. 20th St., Covington, Ky. 41014, or the charity of the donor's choice.
Mildred Ruth Aulick, 84, of Brooksville, died at 7 p.m. Thursday at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana. She was a homemaker and a member of Oakland Christian Church, Falmouth. Her husband, Wilson Aulick, died in 1969.
Survivors include daughters, Garnetta Aulick McKibben of Maysville and Sue Aulick Lucas of Brooksville; a grandson and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Oakland Christian Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Brooksville. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth. Memorials are suggested to Oakland Christian Church, Bachelors Rest Road, Falmouth, Ky.
David "Jack" Behle Sr., 76, of Fort Mitchell, died at 6:50 p.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. He was a retired liquor salesman, former owner of Jack Behle's Delicatessen, Fort Mitchell, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Fort Mitchell. His wife, Wanda L. Harden Behle, died in 1999.
Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly A. Behle of Erlanger; sons, David J. Behle Jr. of Taylor Mill, Dennis J. Behle of Independence and Danny Behle of Fort Pierce, Fla.; seven grandchildren and a great- grandchild.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Donald J. Bosch, 85, of Lakeside Park, died Thursday at his home. He was a retired partner of Quinn-Bosch Insurance Agency. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Pius X Church, Edgewood; Kenton County Lion's Club, Covington; Father Soard Council of Knights of Columbus; and the Independent Insurance Agents Association.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Rosselot Bosch; sons, Kenneth Bosch, Daniel Bosch and John Bosch, all of Edgewood; daughters, Patricia Billiter of Villa Hills and Nancy Schwartz of Florence; stepmother, Edith Bosch of Owensville, Ohio; sister, Mary Jane Bach of Cincinnati; step sisters, Rita Deters of Florence and Emily Brahm of Columbus, Ohio; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Pius X Church. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Monday at the church. His body will be donated to the University of Cincinnati Anatomy Department. Jack Carter, 76, of Dayton, died Friday at VA Medical Center, Cincinnati.

Ruby Smith Dean, 81, of Augusta, died Thursday at Meadowview Regional Medical Center, Maysville. She was retired from Miller Shoe Co., Cincinnati. Her husband, Harvey Dean, died in 1982, and a daughter, Tona Cobb, in 1993.
Survivors include a brother, Estil Ray Smith of Augusta, and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Metcalfe-Hennessey Funeral Home, Augusta. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery, Bracken County.
Frank X. Frankerl, 71, of Fort Thomas, died Friday at his home. He was a retired credit manager for Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati.
Survivors include his wife, Rhoda Noll Frankerl, and a brother, Josef Frankerl of Schwandorf, Germany.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Therese Church, Southgate. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to St. Therese Church, Children's Building Fund, 11 Temple Place, Southgate, Ky. 41071.

Lawrence Edward Franks, 72, of Owenton, died Thursday at Owen County Hospital, Owenton. He was retired from the Air Force, in which he served as an arbitrator for labor relations and handled manpower management. He also was a former college professor at Georgia College and a member of the Owen County School Board.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Haydon Franks; daughters, Bridgette Franks of Warner Robins, Ga., and Tara Herndon of Owen County; stepsons, Brian Roland of Warsaw and Kepple Roland of Owenton; stepdaughter, Amanda Duvall of Owen County; brother, Kenneth R. Franks of Ashland; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McDonald Funeral Home, Main Street location, Owenton. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery, Owen County. Memorials are suggested to Owen County Children's Fund.
John V. Gallagher, 56, of Lakeside Park, died Thursday at his home. He was an accountant, former CEO for Hillmann Fasteners, Cincinnati, and Modern Ice Equipment, Cincinnati, and a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Fort Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife, Esmeralda A. Gallagher; son, John V. Gallagher III of Whittier, Calif.; sisters, Ann Darlington of Fairfield, Ohio, and Patricia Plas, Sister Mary Gallagher S.C., and Kathleen Verne, all of Cincinnati.

Ruth V. Hermann Koenig, 84, of Cincinnati, and formerly of Covington, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Deupree Health Center, Oakley. She was a retired bookkeeper for United Artists, Cincinnati, and a member of New Thought Unity Center, Cincinnati. Her first husband, Nathan L. Hermann, and her second husband, Edward P. Koenig, both preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Minnie Mehuron of Madisonville, Ohio; stepdaughters, Rita Chalfont and Betty Boles, both of Covington; stepsons, William Koenig of Fort Mitchell and Robert Koenig of Colerain Township, Ohio; a granddaughter and several stepgrandchildren.
