Thomas Ashcraft, 62, retired electrical engineer for CG&E;
Thomas Ashcraft loved life and never turned away from someone in need.
Mr. Ashcraft, 62, of Fort Mitchell, died at 6:40 a.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood.
He was a retired electrical engineering instructor for the University of Cincinnati and a retired electrical engineer for Cincinnati Gas & Electric.
He mostly taught classes at night, said his son, Dr. Troy Ashcraft of Crestview Hills.
"He loved to teach, " his son said. "He was very caring, very loving. He would do anything to help someone if he knew they needed it.
"My dad would always put his family first. He would do anything for his family and then think of himself after that."
Mr. Ashcraft never gave up in his struggle with cancer.
"He had the best spirits of anybody, " said his wife, Jo Ashcraft. "He was so optimistic. He felt sure he would beat it. He kept things from us, as to how he felt. He loved being around people, always joking."
Mr. Ashcraft, an Air Force veteran, was extremely patriotic, his son said.
He also enjoyed traveling when he got the chance.
He was a member of Florence Masonic Lodge No. 559 FA&M;, Covington Scot tish Rite and the Syrian Shrine, Cincinnati.
Other survivors include a son, Todd Ashcraft of Fort Mitchell; a sister, Peggy Oak of Dry Ridge; and brothers, William Ashcraft of Largo, Fla., and Michael Ashcraft of Latonia.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Catchen Funeral Home, Elsmere. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Thursday. Entombment will be in Highland Mausoleum, Fort Mitchell.
Ronald Neil Belew, 31, of Morning View, died Monday at University Hospital, Cincinnati.
He was a disabled machinist with International Knife and Saw and a member of Piner Baptist Church. His father, Oakley Belew, died in 1988.
Survivors include sons, Kyle Belew and Korey Michael Belew, both of Independence; his mother, Mary Belew of Morning View; and sisters, Sondra Schoemaker and Rhonda Sims, both of Walton.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Piner Baptist Church Building Fund, 15044 Madison Pike, Independence, Ky. 41051.
David William "Skip" Borchers, 58, of Crestview, Fla., formerly of Kenton County, died Saturday in Crestview. He was a former member of Community Pentecostal Church of God, Taylor Mill.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Stone Borchers; children, Merry Borchers, Shelby Borchers and Beau Borchers, all at home, Rebecca Borchers of Breckinridge, Colo., and Amanda Arnold of Crestview; his parents, Vernon and Dorcas Borchers of Ventura, Calif.; a sister, Teri Borchers of Ventura; and a brother, Robert Borchers of Nashville, Tenn.

Wilbert John Brossart, 85, of Latonia, died Sunday at his home. He was a retired assembler with Michaels Art Bronze Co., Erlanger, a member of Holy Cross Church in Latonia and Knights of Columbus Bishop Carroll Council No. 702, and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a brother, Milford C. Brossart of Park Hills; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Thursday at Holy Cross Church. Visitation will begin there at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at the church. Entombment will be in Mother of God Mausoleum, Fort Wright. John B. Combs Sr., 62, of Newport, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.
He was a machinist with Equitable Bag Co.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Combs; sons, Willen Glen Combs of Taylor Mill, John B. Combs Jr. of La Crosse, Wis., and Delbert Combs of Silver Grove; daughters, Deborah Wayson of Fort Thomas, Kathy Casey of Park Hills and Shannon Combs of Newport; brothers, William Combs of Silver Grove, Lewis Combs Jr. of Wilder and Clyde Combs of Alexandria; sisters, Judy Ross of Covington and Lizzie Combs of Alexandria; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Dorothy "Dot" Williams Fedders, 92, of Lakeside Park, died at 9:30 p.m. Monday at Woodcrest Manor Nursing Home, Erlanger. She was a homemaker and a former member of Summit Hills Country Club and Seniorettes group. Her husband, Charles W. Fedders, died in 1991.
Survivors include a son, Charles W. Fedders of Edgewood; brothers, Robert L. Williams of Rabbit Hash and Richard A. Williams of Taylor Mill; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Thomas J. Fletcher, 62, of Covington, died Sunday at his home. He was disabled. There are no immediate survivors.

Raymond "Roy" Gramer, 88, of Newport, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a shipping clerk with Kroger Co.
Survivors include a nephew, James Gramer of Fort Thomas; and a niece, Mary Wahoff of Cincinnati.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 7 tonight at Sacred Heart Church, Bellevue. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
Hester Hill, 91, of Latonia, died at 6:25 a.m. Tuesday at Westview Nursing Home, Bedford, Ind.
She was a piano and organ teacher, a Sunday school teacher and a member of Latonia Christian Church. Her husband, Rev. Joseph D. Hill, died in 1983.
Survivors include a son, Joseph D. Hill II of Florence; a daughter, Rebecca Jane Muncy of Bedford, Ind.; and four grandchildren.

Clarence H. Hodges, 74, of Covington, died at 4:25 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. He was a retired employee of General Electric, a member of Masonic Lodge No. 478, Latonia American Legion Post No. 203, Scottish Rite and Disabled American Veterans, and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Loraine "June" Hodges; daughters, Donna Alexander of Erlanger, Carla Dishong of Covington and Brenda Kilmer of Highland Heights; and two grandchildren.

Paul Hulley Jr., 48, of Carrollton, died Monday at his home. He was a mechanic and an owner of M&H; Auto, Carrollton. He was a member of the Kentucky Bikers Association, and attended both Family Worship Center and Open Door Baptist Church, both in Carrollton.
Survivors include daughters, Tanya Hulley and Natalie Hulley, both of the state of California; his stepmother, Shirley Byrd of Carrollton; a sister, Janet Ramirez of West Covina, Calif.; a half-sister, Della Smith of Bedford; brothers, Benjamin Hulley and Edward Hulley, both of Carrollton; and a half-brother, Mindell Joe Byrd of Carrollton.

Ollie King, 88, of Alexandria, died at 2:05 p.m. Tuesday at Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport.

Brenda Kay Lovelace Mills, 37, of Covington, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, General Mills; a daughter, Samantha Mills, at home; her mother, Ilene Mains of Covington; brothers, Charles Lovelace and Leroy Lovelace, both of Walton, and Marvin Lovelace of Covington; and sisters, Barbara Lovelace of Walton, Linda Bowling of Morning View and Deborah Burkhart of Fort Worth, Texas.

Benny J. Morris, 40, of Crittenden, died Sunday at his home. He was a retired truck driver with All Freight Co., Carthage, Mo., and was formerly self-employed. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, Verona. A stepson, Jeffrey Gregg, died in 1998.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Morris; a daughter, Desiree Dawn Morris of Crittenden; a stepson, John Gregg of Cincinnati; his mother and stepfather, Wanda Coyle Brockman and Ralph Brockman of Independence; and a half-brother, Ralph Dwayne Brockman of Independence.

Richard F. Musick, 80, of Bellevue, died Monday at Highlands of Fort Thomas nursing home. He was a machinist with Natmar Inc., and a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Bellevue and Campbell County Fish and Game Club. His wife, Audrey Musick, died in 1965.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Allen of Fort Wright; a son, Richard F. Musick Jr. of Bellevue; and three grandchildren.

Wallace L. Nutter, 51, of Florence, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was an automobile salesman and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Crowe Nutter; a daughter, Crystal Renee Nutter of Florence; a son, Marcus Allen Coy Nutter of Florence; his mother, Wilma Jean Thompson of Dry Ridge; a sister, Jami Sue Elam of Shady Hook; a brother, Jeffrey Allen Nutter of Dayton, Ohio; and grandmother, Maggie Burkhart of Dry Ridge.

Stanley Parker, 91, of Xenia, Ohio, formerly of Falmouth, died Monday at his granddaughter's home. He was a former employee of the Cincinnati Enquirer, and taught at New Zion School in Demossville and McKenneysburg School. He was a former employee of Newport Steel Co. and a terminal manager with Cincinnati Division of Sims Motor Transport Line in Riverdale, Ill., a member of Blanket Creek Baptist Church in Pendleton County, Silver Grove Lodge No. 612 F&AM and a 32nd degree member of Indra Consistory Scottish Rite in Covington.
Survivors include a brother, W. F. Parker of Richwood; four granddaughters, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Wilburn Richter, 81, of Las Vegas, formerly of Newport, died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was a former member of Silver Grove Community Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Arlene Chrisman of Las Vegas; a son, Wayne Richter of Las Vegas; a sister, Edith Brown of Wilder; a brother, Melvin Richter of Wilder; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Dorothy A. Schomaker, 76, of Newport, died at 2:50 a.m. Monday at Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport.
She was a homemaker and a member of Newport Elks. She was named Lady Elk of the Year in Kentucky in 1971. She was also a member of St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring, and a volunteer with the Brighton Center and Redwood School and Rehabilitation Center. Her husband, Stanley W. Schomaker, died in 1973.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Sandfoss of Cold Spring; sons, Stephen Schomaker of Fort Thomas and Stanley Schomaker of Highland Heights; a sister, Vera Chalk of Woodlawn; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Shirley Ann Fultz Sebastian, 64, of Dayton, died Monday at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Church, Bellevue. Her husband, Edwin Sebastian, died in 1998.

Marilyn DeBorde Smith, 79, of Covington, died at 11:30 p.m. Monday at Rosedale Manor, Latonia. She was a retired supervisor of long distance operators for Cincinnati Bell Telephone Co. and AT&T;, and a former operator with C&P; Telephone Co. in Arlington, Va. She was a member, a Sunday school teacher and past president of the Women's Missionary Society of Madison Avenue Baptist Church, Covington.
Survivors include her husband, Edward T. Smith of Covington; and a sister, Mary Black of Latonia.

Betty True, 70, of Ryland Heights, died at 1:05 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a retired secretary with Ryland Heights Elementary School and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Latonia.
Survivors include her husband, Fenton True; a son, Barry True of Ryland Heights; a daughter, Vicki Coppage of Ryland Heights; brothers, Gene Scroggins and Fred Scroggins, both of Dry Ridge; sisters, Martha Scroggins of Taylor Mill and Dorothy Goodrich of Independence; and three grandchildren.

Elizabeth Dawn Teremi White, 22, of Alexandria, was killed Saturday in Alexandria.
She was a homemaker and a student at A-Pass-Weikel Institute Real Estate School and a member of World's Gym, Alexandria.
Survivors include daughters, Tara Nicole White and Victoria Dawn White, both of Alexandria; her mother and stepfather, Linda Fryman Teremi and Robert Eugene Adams, both of Florence; brothers, Peter Gregory Teremi of Erlanger and Mark Teremi of Florence; and a sister, Pamela Sue McDowell of Florence.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Latonia First Church of God. Visitation will begin there at 6 p.m. Friday. Cremation will be at Hillside Chapel, Cincinnati.

Gary Williams, 53, of Tacoma, Wash., formerly of Covington, died Saturday in Tacoma. He was a chef, a member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Tacoma and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Williams; sons, Sean Williams and Frederick Williams, both of Tacoma; a brother, Robert Williams of Visalia; and sisters, Carolyn Williams and Debra Williams, both of Covington, and Pamela Turner of Elsmere.
