Bonnie Jackson, 60, quiet, artistic woman
Bonnie J. Jackson was a quiet woman who let her artistic nature speak for her.
Mrs. Jackson, a Covington native, enjoyed painting portraits. And, in her spare time, she played the organ at the Highland Crossing retirement center in Covington.
"It was good entertainment for the people there. She had done it for several years, " said Donald R. Jackson, Mrs. Jackson's husband of 45 years.
Mrs. Jackson, 60, of Highland Heights, died at 8:16 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit in Covington. She was a teacher's aide with Newport Alternate High School and a member of the Tay lor Mill Moose Lodge.
Mrs. Jackson was a kind, giving person who believed in helping others, her husband said. He said he was attracted to her sweetness and gentleness when they met many years ago.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Jackson is also survived by her daughters, Connie Lucius of Butler and Donna Scharold of Alexandria; a son, Michael Jackson of Liberty Township, Ohio; a sister, Ronda cq Hunter of New Richmond, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Highland Heights. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.
Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, 401 E. 20th St., Covington, Ky. 41014.
Mary Florence Barker, 59, of Cynthiana, died Wednesday at Bourbon Community Hospit al of injuries suffered in an auto accident. She was an employee of Fifth Third Bank, Cynthiana, and a member of Unity Christian Church and Elks Lodge No. 438.
Survivors include her husband, Charles T. Barker; her mother, Sue Florence Carl of Cynthiana; a brother, Marvin E. Florence Jr. of Harrison County; and a sister, Margaret F. Arnold of Harrison County.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana.
Darlene M. Bravard, 44, of Newport, died Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a bartender.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Asher-Wallace of Newport; sisters, Betty Dean of Dayton, Evelyn Daugherty of Newport and Rita Bringer of Elsmere; brothers, Jasper Bravard and Sid Bravard, both of Newport, and George Bravard of Fort Thomas; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will begin there at noon Monday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.
Victor Duncan, 55, of Covington, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth North Hospice Unit in Covington.
Arrangements are pending at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, Latonia.
Lovena England, of Kenton Vale, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a retired employment office supervisor with AT&T; and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Fort Wright.
Survivors include her husband, James "Ben" England; and sisters, Irene Kayser of Fort Mitchell and Virginia L. Caddell of Cincinnati.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Mother of God Mausoleum, Fort Wright. Visitation will begin there at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Entombment will be in Mother of God Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to Save the Animals Foundation, 4011 Red Bank Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45227; or the charity of the donor's choice. Ernest Harvey Gamble, 71, of Erlanger, died Thursday at Village Care Center, Erlanger.

Dolores Moss Hoard, 87, of Covington, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington.

Patricia Ann Jefferson, 60, of Hebron, died Monday at Florence Park Care Center. She was a clerk with the Internal Revenue Service.
Survivors include sons, Michael Jefferson of Dry Ridge and Mark Jefferson of Newport; a daughter, Shari Alexander of Crittenden; sisters, Sandy Horton of Hebron and Teri Riggs of Covington; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.
Turner Lloyd, 79, of Carrollton, died Thursday at his home. He was a re tired carpenter, a member of Carrollton First Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Judy Elizabeth Lloyd, died in 2000.
Survivors include daughters, Pattie Williams, Mary Adkins and Lynn Stablehaus, all of Carrollton; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ghent Masonic Cemetery.
Monovene Joyce Moreland, 73, of Alexandria, died Thursday at her sister's home in Stanton. Her husband, Wandell E. Moreland, preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, David Albert Moreland of Alexandria, Douglas Allen Moreland of Charleston, South Carolina, and Stanley Wayne Moreland of Alexandria; brothers, Silas Cleamon McQuinn of Middletown, Ohio, Charles McQuinn of Rogers, and Shirley McQuinn of Pee Wee Valley; sisters, Mildred Unger of Lexington, Hazel Sparks of Harrodsburg, Betty Booth of Stanton, Ruby McQuinn of Rogers, Mary Knox of Harrodsburg and one grandchild.

Mary Esther Myers, 91, of Fort Mitchell, died Tuesday at Woodcrest Manor, Erlanger. She was a law office stenographer and a member of Elsmere Baptist Church. She was a former state counselor with Daughters of America, a former Cub and Girl Scout leader and a former volunteer with St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. A daughter, JoAnn Calvert, and a son, Harry James Calvert, both preceded her in death.
Survivors include three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger. Visitation will begin there at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Deborah Lynn Snow, 42, of Newport, died at 11:22 p.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. She was a factory worker with Motorola Co. in Florida.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph W. Snow; daughters, Wynona J. McCraney of Somerset and H. Vanessa Fox of Newport; her mother and stepfather, Merle and Faye Hammon of Somerset; a brother, John Allen of Nicholasville; a sister, Merlene Masters of Nicholasville; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 7 tonight at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will begin there at 5 p.m. Cremation will be at Hillside Chapel, Cincinnati. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, 401 E. 20th St., Covington, Ky. 41014.
Ruth Margaret Veith, 84, of Latonia, died at at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday at Rosedale Manor, Latonia. She was a retired employee of H&S; Pogue Co.
Survivors include a son, John Veith of Bellevue.
Graveside services were Thursday at Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.
