Jane McGlone, volunteer, retired real estate VP
For Jane McGlone, retirement meant taking on new jobs, but without the pay.
Mrs. McGlone spent many hours volunteering after she retired for the St. Elizabeth Medical Center Foundation, Primewise and the Northern Kentucky Cancer Care.
Mrs. McGlone, 74, of Crestview Hills, died Sunday at her home.
She was a retired vice president with Comey and Shepherd Real Estate Co., where she had spent 20 years.
She drove for Northern Kentucky Cancer Care, organized golf fund-raisers for the hospital foundation and did office work for Primewise, a program for older adults.
"She was very organized and outgoing, " said a niece, Ann McGlone of Villa Hills. "She had a lot of friends.
"She was very important to her family. She was a huge support system to all of us."
She also was a talented seamstress, her niece said.
She was a member of the Northern Kentucky Ladies Golf League and Thoroughbred Club.
Her husband, Jack McGlone, died in 1988.
Other survivors include two nephews.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, Latonia. Entombment will be in St. Mary Mausoleum, Fort Mitchell.

Mary J. Augur, 69, of Ludlow, died Sunday at her daughter's home. She was a homemaker. Her husband, James E. Augur, died in 1985. A son, Edward J. Augur, died in 1999.
Survivors include daughters, Cynthia Bowlds and Fay Schumacher, both of Taylor Mill, Frances Elliott of Bromley, Kathie Parker of Cold Spring and Gloria Smith of Independence; a son, James Augur of Ludlow; a brother, Edward Harrington of Burlington; 30 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:05 p.m. Thursday at Mother of God Church, Covington. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Raymond Charles Crail, 86, of Latonia, died at 10:47 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired lathe operator with General Electric, Cincinnati, a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Latonia and an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Grace Irvin Weathers, died in 1999.
Survivors include daughters, Grace Griffith of Florence and Sharon White of Clarksville, Tenn.; brothers, Chester Crail of Nebraska and Bill Crail of Boca Raton, Fla.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Thursday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Zola Rollins Crouch, 93, of Fort Mitchell, died Sunday at Beverly Health Care Center, Frankfort. She was a credit manager with Coppins Department Store, Covington, and a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Lakeside Park. Her husband, Olen W. Crouch, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Crouch of Daytona, Fla.; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pythian Grove Cemetery, Berry. Visitation will be from noon to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Woodhead Funeral Home, Berry. Memorials are suggested to Immanuel United Methodist Church, 2551 Dixie Highway, Lakeside Park, Ky. 41017.
Charles Elliott, 58, of Taylor Mill, died at 10:02 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.

August N. Faeth, 83, of Covington, died Saturday at his home. He was chairman of the board of ACB American Inc., Covington, a member of the St. Elizabeth Samaritan Socity and a Canadian Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Faeth; sons, Michael Faeth of Falmouth, Stanley Faeth of Tempe, Ariz., August N. Faeth of Harrodsburg and Anthony Faeth of Erlanger; daughters, MaryAnne Pedoto of Cincinnati and Michelle Mason of Louisville; a sister, Marie Griffith of Miami, Fla.; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:05 p.m. Friday at Mother of God Church, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice. Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger, is handling arrangements.
Eugene Faulkner, 64, of Morgan, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a state property valuation administrator and manager of a Shell station, and a member of Morgan Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mamie Falkner; daughters, Becky Foble of Morgan and Bonnie Jean Logan of Falmouth; a brother, Leroy Faulkner of Morgan; sisters, Elizabeth Pleasant of Danville, Audrey Hargett and Joyce Daniels, both of Falmouth; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Morgan Cemetery.
William Russell Garrett, 82, of Florence, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was an assembler with Ford Motor Co., a member of United Auto Workers, and an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Martha Garrett, died in 1992. A daughter, Shirley Zimmerman, died in 1999.
Survivors include a son, Chester Mutters of Florence; a brother, Gordon Garrett of Cincinnati; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Maude Thomas Boaz Groves, 78, of Independence, died Sunday at her home. She was a homemaker and operated Maude's Minding. Her husband, Lafe S. Groves, died in 1986. A son, Butch Groves, died in 1988. Survivors include daughters, Sandra Haley of Independence, Diane Lee of Florence, Rana "Bunny" Brockman of Burlington and Margaret "Kitten" Schreiber of Edgewood; a son, Garry Groves of Edgewood; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
No services are planned. Visitation will be from 5 to 8:30 tonight at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
William H. Haggard, 63, of Morning View, died Monday at his home.

Claudetta R. Lilly, 58, of Covington, died Sunday at Villa Springs of Erlanger. She was a former postal worker and a member of Jordan Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Claudia Hutchinson of Brooksville; sisters, Linda Goble and Brenda Adams, both of Carrollton, and Rebecca Reynolds of Worthville; brothers, Rudy Reynolds and Gary Lee "Jim Bo" Reynolds, both of Worthville; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Carrollton.
Irvin "Tiny" Martin, 93, of Fort Wright, died at 9:45 p.m. Saturday at Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport. He was owner of a golf pro shop and a Navy veteran of World War II. His wife, Margaret Martin, died in 1972.
Survivors include a niece, Jane Bishop of Covington.
Memorial Mass will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Vista Memorial Gardens, Hialeah, Fla. Catchen Funeral Home, Elsmere, is handling arrangements.
Helen McDaniel, 76, of Independence, died Sunday at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Berean Baptist Church, Independence. Her husband, James B. McDaniel, died in 1992.
Survivors include a son, Raymond Eckler of Seffner, Fla.; daughters, Sharon Darrell of Crittenden and Charlene Cooper of Verona; a brother, Ralph Jump of Dry Ridge; a sister, Cora McMahan of Walton; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Lilly Pearl Mullen, 66, of Fort Thomas, died Sunday at her home. She was a customer service representative with the Internal Revenue Service and a former executive secretary with the Kroger Co.
Survivors include her husband, William A. "Moon" Mullen; sons, Michael Mullen of Mason, Ohio, and William C. Mullen of Butler; a daughter, Bernadette Tarvin of Brooksville; brothers, Kenneth A. Reed of Middletown, Ohio, and Robert D. Reed of Winchester; sisters, Lois R. Davis of Lexington, Della R. Horton and Ann R. Cole, both of Winchester, and Wanda R. Williams of Tucker, Ga.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Roger Morris Roundtree, 73, of Williamstown, died Sunday at his home. He was a Baptist minister with several churches in Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati, a charter member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Dry Ridge, and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Marie Roundtree; sons, Darryl Roundtree of Newark, Ohio, Danny Roundtree of Williamstown and Donny Roundtree of Latonia; a daughter, Denise Huhn of Cincinnati; brothers, Lester Roundtree of Apopka, Fla., James Roundtree of Georgetown, Thomas Roundtree of Covington, Doyle Roundtree and M. C. Roundtree, both of Cincinnati; a sister, Gladys Jones of Bethel, Ohio; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

James D. Vaughn, 45, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Union, died Monday at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte. He was a carpenter and a member of Beaverlick Baptist Church, Union.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Vaughn; his mother, Phyllis Tungate of Punta Gorda, Fla.; brothers, Steve Vaughn of Florence and Mark Vaughn of Elsmere; and a sister, Becky Stolz of Florence.

William L. Wagner, 76, of Covington, died at 4:50 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington.
He was a retired meat inspector with Kahn's & Co., Cincinnati, a member of Latonia Christian Church and Teamsters Union Local No. 100 in Cincinnati, and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include sons, Michael Wagner of Cold Spring, William L. Wagner of Latonia and Dennis Wagner of Covington; daughters, Yvonne Cladwell of Independence and Denise Thames of Erlanger; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
