Gerhard B. Tebelman, Villa Hills police chief
Gerhard B. Tebelman was a Covington native who helped create and name the city of Villa Hills about 40 years ago.
"He also was police chief in Villa Hills. He was very civic-minded, " said a daughter, Marilyn Becker of Dry Ridge.
Mr. Tebelman, 76, of Georgetown, Ohio, formerly of Villa Hills, died Saturday at Brown County Hospital in Georgetown.
He was a retired truck driver for City Haul Trucking Co. in Cincinnati and was a member of Teamsters Union Local No. 100 in Cincinnati. A son, Jerome Tebelman, died in 1959.
Mr. Tebelman and his wife, Wanda Browning Tebelman, were married
for 55 years. Mr. Tebelman worked long hours and believed in helping his neighbors. However, he always found time to be with his family, his daughter said.
"He always made the holidays great. We always went to Mom and Dad's for Christmas, Easter and birthdays all the time, " Ms. Becker said. "He was a good dad."
Besides his wife and daughter, Mr. Tebelman is survived by two other daughters, Carolyn Daulton of Russellville, Ohio, and Diane LaRue of Georgetown, Ohio; brothers, Robert Tebelman of Cynthiana and Harold Tebelman of Amelia, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Hilda Elizabeth Arnette, 84, of Covington, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Mother of God Church, Covington. A daughter, Loretta Hiatt, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Marcella Arnette of Covington; a sister, Rose Ella Sketch of Covington; a brother, Dr. James Simpson of Taylor Mill; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial Mass will be at 12:05 p.m. April 7 at Mother of God Church. Mrs. Arnette bequeathed her body to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, 401 E. 20th St., Covington, Ky. 41014. Catchen Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.
Ingram "Red" Baker, 83, of Butler, died Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.

Wendell G. Breeze Jr., 76, of Maysville, died at 7:05 p.m. Monday at Meadowview Regional Medical Center, Maysville. He was a salesman with Cable Tire and Appliance, Maysville, a member of Central Baptist Church in Maysville, and a Navy veteran of World War II. A son, David Breeze, and a stepdaughter, Belinda Joy Layman, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Breeze; a stepson, Michael D. King of Papillion, Neb.; and six step-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brell Funeral Home, Maysville. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maysville Cemetery.
Leslie I. Cooper, 85, of Brooksville, died Tuesday at Meadowview Regional Medical Center, Maysville. He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude E. Mofford Cooper; a son, Mofford A. Cooper of Brooksville; daughters, Leota C. Massey of Mount Olivet and Larry E. Cooper of Brooksville; brothers, Warren Cooper of Morehead and Dale Cooper of Brooksville; sisters, Anna B. Yelton and Eva Carpenter, both of Brooksville; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brooksville Christian Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Brooksville Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
Brent Dalton, 55, of Union, died Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.

Oliver S. Hall, 86, of Fort Thomas, died Sunday at Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport. He was a retired president of Hall Concrete Products and a member of Highland United Methodist Church, Fort Thomas. He was a member of the Newport Rotary Club, was a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a sister, Katherine Wheeler of San Antonio; and a niece, Becky Poag of Lynchburg, Tenn.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Highland United Methodist Church, Fort Thomas. Memorials are suggested to Highland United Methodist Church, 314 N. Fort Thomas Ave., Fort Thomas, Ky. 41075.

Frances Steffen Keller, 93, of Cold Spring, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday at Carmel Manor Nursing Home, Fort Thomas. She was a retired proprietor of the Beacon Inn, Wilder, and a member of the St. Mary Ladies Society at St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring. Her husband, Aloysius J. Keller, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Ann Neltner of Melbourne; sons, Al Keller Jr. of Cold Spring and Jack Keller of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Amelia Jenner of Highland Heights; 12 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Martha Marcum, 83, of Covington, died at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North Hospice Unit, Covington.

Anna Jeanette Ford Martin, 66, of Walton, died Tuesday at her home.
She worked for the Census Bureau in the year 2000; was a former training supervisor for Levi Strauss and Company; was a former training supervisor for Rockwell International; was a seamstress and craftsman for Walton-Verona High School track team; had worked for Van Nostra Reinholt Bookstore; was a member of Walton Baptist Church and was a master gardner as a member of African Violet Society. A son, Ed Martin Jr., died in 1972.
Survivors include her husband, William Edgar Martin of Walton; sons, Steven Daniel Martin of Tampa, Fla., and Daryl lee Martin of Walton; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Martin-Meyers of Sarasota, Fla.; brother, Ronald Clay Ford of Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Anthony "Ted" Mueller, 94, of Fort Thomas, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a retired printer for Ficke Printing Company, Cincinnati and a member of Sacred Heart Church, Bellevue. His wife, Hilda Mueller, died in 1999.
Survivors include his nephews, Ed Mohr of Cincinnati, Fred Mohr of Greensboro, Ga., and Robert Mohr of Central Lake, Mich.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue. Howard G. Schultz, 80, of Cincinnati, died Saturday in Cincinnati. He was a retired professor of economics and finance with Xavier University, an independent investment adviser and regular guest on radio station WVXU's economic talk show. He was a a past grand knight of St. Patrick Council No. 1747, Knights of Columbus, and was a retired Air Force major. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Davis Schultz; sons, Robert Schultz and Walt Schultz, both of Independence, and John Schultz of Cincinnati; daughters, Carol Conner, Linda Warren and Jane Schultz, all of Cincinnati; a sister, Rita Hudepohl Stevie; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Clement Church, Cincinnati. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Imwalle Funeral Home, Cincinnati. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
Donald Vashon, 62, of Florence, died Monday at Woodspoint Nursing Home, Florence.
