Brother Leland Ingram, 92, retired minister
Brother Leland T. Ingram, a retired minister, was known for his outreach programs.
Mr. Ingram, of Cynthiana, traveled throughout his district to meet with members of his church to keep their spirits up, said Margie Wilson, a long-time friend who met Mr. Ingram through her husband.
"He was a good person; he was a humble person who was very faithful to the Lord, " said Mrs. Wilson, who lives in Cynthiana.
"He was very compassionate and good at calling on people. And he married
a lot of people at his church."
Mr. Ingram, 92, of Cynthiana, died there Tuesday at Grand Haven Nursing Home. He was former pastor and an elder with Antioch Mills Christian Church in Harrison County and former pastor of Triumph Christian Church in Bracken County.
Mr. Ingram was a patient man who made time for anyone who wanted to see him, Mrs. Wilson said. She said Mr. Ingram didn't judge people and instead encour aged them to be the best they could be.
"He considered the church his personal family. He was concerned about everyone. He was just a gentleman, " Mrs. Wilson said.
He was retired from Cincinnati Milacron and a retired custodian with the Cynthiana Democrat. He was a member of St. Andrews Masonic Lodge, Cynthiana, and Indra Consistory Scottish Rite Masons, Covington. His wife, Katherine Boyle Ingram, died in 1988.
Survivors include sons, Harold Ingram of Rockport, Maine, and Robert Ingram of Wilmington, N.C.; a brother, Orville Ingram of Berry; a sister, Thelma Million of Lexington; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Antioch Mills Christian Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.
Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana. Memorials are suggested to Antioch Mills Christian Church, Berry, Ky. 40078. Woodhead Funeral Home, Berry, is handling arrangements.
Mildred W. Burford, 73, of Owenton, died Tuesday at Owen County Hospital in Owenton. She was a homemaker and a member of Hesler Assembly of God Church. She was a former employee of Kraft Foods, the Essex Company and was a school bus driver.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Burford; sons, Daniel Lee Burford of Owenton and James Kenny Burford of Williamstown; a daughter, Linda K. Acree of Owenton; sisters, Alma Dean Perkins, Frances Sharp, Ella B. Sharp, Phyllis Mason and Betty Prather, all of Owenton, Donna Sue Thompson and Judy Conway, both of Frankfort, and Elwood Finfrock of Highland Heights; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McDonald Funeral Home, Seminary Street, Owenton. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Owenton.
Robert L. Butler, 60, of Alexandria, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.
He was a retired warehouse supervisor with Leuger's Furniture Store, Cincinnati and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Demossville and Honeybee Beagle Hunting Club in Crittenden.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Butler; sons, Robert Butler of Silver Grove and Jeff Butler of Independence; sisters, Geraldine Collins of Covington and Barbara Stayton of Ludlow; a brother, Ronald Butler of Ludlow; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery. Joyce Closterman, 82, of Fort Thomas, died at 11:42 a.m. Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a retired clerk with Kroger's.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Closterman; and a sister, Ada Greenwood of Clarksville, Ind.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Visitation will begin there at noon Friday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.
Clarabelle M. Fletcher, 84, of Florence, died Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.

Edna Frances Morrow Lusby, 85, of Owenton, died Monday at Owen County Memorial Hospital, Owenton. She was a homemaker and a member of Old Cedar Baptist Church, where she was the church pianist.
Survivors include her husband, Acton Lusby.

Margaret Ann Brennan Schulte, 77, of Alexandria, Va., died Saturday at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Her husband, Elmer H. Schulte, preceded her in death.
Survivors include children, Bruce Schulte of San Diego, Tom Schulte and Rita Schulte, both of Alexandria, Va., Tris Miserendino of Burke, Va., and Margaret Stimson of Sacramento, Calif.; a brother, Joseph Brennan of Union; sisters, Sister Rita Brennan of Newport, Marian Brennan of Covington and Jane Wynne of Cincinnati; and 10 grandchildren.

David A. Stratton, 46, of Covington, died Tuesday at his home. He was a self-employed truck driver and a former Teamster.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Spencer Stratton; his mother, Dolores Stratton of Fort Wright; brothers, Larry Stratton of Erlanger, Johnny Stratton and Greg Stratton, both of Covington; and sisters, Sandra Williams of Ludlow and Bonnie Lantry of Taylor Mill.

Elizabeth Tipton, 71, of Walton, died Tuesday at her home.

Audrey D. Volterman, 83, of Florence, died at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include friends Charles and Jeanette Volpenhein who took care of Ms. Volterman.
