Robert Burg, friend to all
Robert W. Burg Sr. was an easy-going person who would do anything for a friend.
"He was just there. If you asked him something, he would do it, " said his daughter, Vickie Sensel of Bridgetown, Ohio.
"He would do anything for anybody and not expect anything for it, " said his son, Robert W. Burg Jr. of Fort Mitchell.
That was especially true if someone needed transportation. He often took friends to doctors.
Mr. Burg, 67, of Covington, died at 11:01 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington.
He was a forklift operator with Square D Electric Manufacturing Co., where he worked for 30 years. He was also a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
When he was younger, he enjoyed bowling, boxing and baseball. In his later years, he and his son went on vacations together.
He was young at heart, full of pep and fun to be around, said his daughter.
"He always wanted to be involved . . . and he was always telling jokes. He just made you laugh a lot, " she said.
Last Christmas, he had his loved ones in stitches dancing to "Johnny B. Goode, " his favorite song, Ms. Sensel said.
He was devoted to his children and grandchildren, Ms. Sensel said.
His granddaughter, Jenny, played basketball, soccer and volleyball, and Mr. Burg went to most of her games.
"She was special to him, " Ms. Sensel said.
Other survivors include a sister, Shirley Taylor of Cincinnati; and two other grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, 2936 Vernon Place, Cincinnati, Ohio 45219. Vicki Ann Ballard, 42, of Louisville, died Friday at Caritas Hospital in Louisville.
Survivors include a brother, Dan Ballard of Monterey, and a sister, Susan Ballard of Frankfort.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McDonald Funeral Home, Main Street, Owenton. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Caritas Health Care, 1850 Bluegrass Ave., Louisville, Ky. 40215.
Beulah M. Brown, 98, of Fort Thomas, died Sunday at Vista Care Center, Anderson Township, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Highland Hills Baptist Church. Her husband, George H. Brown, died in 1997.
Survivors include her son, James Brown of Anderson Township; daughter, Joyce Leopold of Anderson Township; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Burlington Cemetery. Julian Claypoole, 79, of Mount Olivet, died Friday at his home. He was a retired construction worker with N.U. State Paving, Hardrive Paving and Lemons Brothers Trucking companies, and was a member of Mount Olivet United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Avis Jones Claypoole; daughters, Shirley Hughes of Mount Olivet and Julia Jefferson of Olive Hill; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Robertson County Funeral Home, Mount Olivet. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope, 1 W. McDonald Parkway, Maysville, Ky. 41056.
Anna M. Creast, 87, of Latonia, died at 10:40 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a retired hair stylist. Her husband, Arthur Creast Sr., died in 1994.
Survivors include a son, Arthur Creast Jr. of Latonia.

Mabel E. Eubank, 92, of Fort Wright, died at 5:14 p.m. Friday at Woodspoint Nursing Home, Florence. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Pius X Church, Edgewood. Her husband, Clyde E. Eubank, died in 1978. A son, Robert Eubank, died in 1988.
Survivors include a son, William I. Eubank Sr. of Covington; daughters, Wilma Edmonds of Villa Hills and Carol Marinelli of Latonia; a brother, Miny Wendling of Latonia; a sister, Marie Murdoch of Latonia; 18 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and five great- great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Pius X Church. Visitation will begin there at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright. Mildred M. Howard, 66, of Covington, died Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. She was a retired desk clerk for Motel 6, Florence.
Survivors include her husband, of Covington; daughter, Tina L. Villanueva of Latonia; stepson, Gene Howard of Covington; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services today at the funeral home.

She was a sales associate with Kayser Bakery, Florence, a member of St. Anthony Church in Latonia, and a former member of St. Henry Church Altar Society in Elsmere. Her husband, Fritz John Kroger, died in 1996.
Survivors include a son, Frederick Joseph Kroger of Taylor Mill; daughters, Carolyn Catherine Kroger of Cincinnati and Beverly Ann Kroger of Taylor Mill; a sister, Mary Jane Booker of Latonia; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Norma Jean Mankowski, 100, of Covington, died at 5:25 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. She was a retired golf course greenskeeper with Bilmouth Country Club in Philadelphia and a member of German Lutheran Church, Cincinnati.

Rose A. Rasp, 84, of Covington, died Friday at St. Charles Care Center in Covington.
She was a teacher with Mary Queen of Heaven School in Erlanger, a former member of Mary Queen of Heaven Church in Erlanger, and a member of Elsmere Senior Citizens. Her husband, John Rasp, died in 1996.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Brandner Bogenschutz of Hebron; a son, J. Thomas Rasp of Fort Mitchell; a sister, Mary Jane Brannen of Cincinnati; brothers, Rudolph Albanese of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Vincent Albanese Jr. of Canastota, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren. Raymond G. Wehrman Jr., 66, of Covington, died at 6:30 a.m. Friday at his home.
He was a retired account manager for General Motors Auto Co., a member of St. Augustine Church in Covington and a volunteer at St. Charles Care Center, Covington.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Lee Wehrman of Covington; sons, Michael A. Wehrman of Greenwood, Ind., Gary R. Wehrman of Florence and Jeff D. Wehrman of Independence; daughters, Vicki L. Strinko of Taylor Mill and Linda M. Wince of Florence; brother, Robert Wehrman of Oregon; sisters, Mary Ann Woltenberg of Fort Wright and Connie Mills of Union; and seven grandchildren.
