George W. Landers Jr., contractor
George W. Landers Jr. was a hard-working man who ran a small business.
Mr. Landers, 48, of Crittenden, was a contractor and owner of Landers Construction Co. in Crittenden. He installed siding on homes, said his son, Chris Behymer of Edgewood.
"He was nice and very polite and well-liked. He was very warm, " Mr. Behymer said.
Mr. Landers died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.
He grew up in Northern Kentucky and enjoyed fishing whenever he could, his son said.
"That was about it. He was a private man, " Mr. Behymer said.
Other survivors include his wife, Sandra Lee Landers; a son, Chris Behymer of Edge wood; a daughter, Andrea Landers of Crittenden; a sister, Thelma Hamlin of Latonia; brothers, William Carroll of Carmel, Ind., Thomas Carroll of Cincinnati and Robert Carroll of Burlington; and one grandson.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia. Visitation will begin there at 4 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials are suggested to George Landers Scholarship Fund, 466 Courtney Road, Crittenden, Ky. 41030.
Ralph W. Adams Sr., 77, of Venice, Fla., formerly of Fort Mitchell, died Sunday at Bon Secom Hospital, Venice.

Albert W. Breuer, 83, of Fort Thomas, died Monday at his home.
Arrangements are pending at Dobbling Funeral Home, Fort Thomas.
Ida Jo Chapman, of Florence, died Saturday at Woodspoint Nursing Home, Florence. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a sister, Margaret R. Burns of Union.
Services will be private. Stith Funeral Home, Florence, is handling arrangements.
Simpson Couch, 74, of Taylor Mill, died Monday at his home. He was a retired machinist with William Powell Valve Co., Cincinnati, and a member of Newport Church of God. He was a member of Hebron Masonic Lodge No. 757 F&AM, the president of the church Grandparents Club and Men's Fellowship and was the church state layman of the year for 1983-84.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Davidson Couch; a daughter, Carlene Tucker of Taylor Mill; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Middendorf- Bullock Funeral Home, Ludlow. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home, with Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
Lula Mae Crawford, 74, of Independence, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Russell Crawford, died in 1982.
Survivors include sons, Lonnie Earl Crawford of Dade City, Fla., James Russell Crawford of Monroe, Mich., John Edward Crawford of Tampa, Fla., Ricky Crawford of Independence and John Lee Crawford of Taylor Mill; daughters, Helen Jean Branham of Burlington, Charlotte Ann Bridges of Morning View and Juwelene McCown of Covington; a brother, Amos Newcomb of Corbin; 31 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.
Dale H. Dunaway, 68, of Covington, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. He was a retired printer for Alert Letter, Cincinnati.
Survivors include sons, Dale A. Dunaway of Kentonvale, and Dwayne P. Dunaway and Dwight E. Dunaway, both of Covington; a daughter, Robin S. Dunaway of Covington; a brother, Charles Dunaway of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Delores Yamaguchi of Pearl City, Hawaii; and 10 grandchildren.

Roy Elmer Hartig, 68, of Melbourne, died Sunday at Lakeside Health Care Center, Highland Heights.
Survivors include sisters, Mary Burkhardt of Bellevue, Ruth Cavanaugh of Louisville, Anita Hartig of Melbourne and Joyce "Corky" Pauly of Fort Thomas; and brothers, Dennis Hartig, Doug Hartig, Harold Hartig, James Hartig, Mike Hartig and Steve Hartig, all of Melbourne, and Dick Hartig of Highland Heights.

Mary Hicks, 55, of Latonia, died Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Hicks; a daughter, Mary Swegles of Latonia; sons, Mike Hicks of Erlanger, Jerry Hicks of Independence, and Edward Hicks and Theodore Hicks, both of Latonia; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Marie Emily Lunkenheimer, 97, of Lakeside Park, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Bromley. Her husband, Emil J. Lunkenheimer, died in 1985.
Survivors include a son, Emil Ray Lunkenheimer of Lakeside Park.

Suzanne Ramey, 75, of Maysville, died at 8:28 a.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a facility space planner with Northrup Electronics Division in California.
Survivors include a sister, Jane Grissinger of Wheaton, Ill.; two nieces and a nephew.

Adrian Renchen, 57, of Latonia, died at 11:55 a.m. Monday at his home. He was a core maker with Pride Cast Metals, Cincinnati, and an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Maner Renchen; sons, Joe Renchen, Michael Renchen and Chris Renchen, all of Latonia; a daughter, Elizabeth Putthoff of Covington; brothers, Edward Joseph Renchen of Covington, Charles Renchen of Bellevue, Custer Renchen of Hillsboro, Ohio, and Dewey Renchen of Alexandria; sisters, Alta Turner and Catherine Fogel, both of Newport, Ester Singleton of Erlanger and Eleanor Stewart of Brite Shade; and two grandchildren.

David B. Rimer, 71, of Independence, died at 8:34 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired pressman with Standard Publishing Co., Cincinnati, and a member of St. Cecilia Church, Independence.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline A. Wehr Rimer; sons, David E. Rimer of Elizabethtown, Michael E. Rimer of Alexandria and Daniel P. Rimer of Florence, S.C.; daughters, Julie A. Hipple and Jeanette M. Rimer, both of Alexandria, Donna M. Bonar of Independence, Karen S. Kanner of Cincinnati, and Marlene Arlinghaus of Burlington; 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Anna Mae Shaw, 94, of Independence, died Sunday at Mercy Anderson Hospital, Cincinnati. Her husband, Millard Shaw, died in 1973. A daughter, Pauline Shaw Dyer, died in 1997.
Survivors include daughters, Dorothy Sanders of Hebron, Carrie Shaw of Independence, Cecil Shaw of Burkesville, Ruth Wilson of Florence and Robbie Sipple of Williamstown; sons, Chester Shaw of Covington, Joseph Shaw, Junior Shaw Jr. and Robert Shaw, all of Independence, Calvin Shaw of Morning View and Ken Shaw of Visalia; 23 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

William J. Timmerding, 87, of Cincinnati, formerly of Crestview, died Sunday at his daughter's home in Cincinnati. He was a metal worker with General Electric, a member of St. Joseph Church in Cold Spring and an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Marguerite Klaserner Timmerding, preceded him in death.
Survivors include daughters, Nancy Bare, Carol Ihlendorf and Mary Koehler, all of Cincinnati; a son, William J. Timmerding Jr. of Fort Thomas; a sister, Emma Riley of Covington; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Day of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; a son, John Wolfer Jr. of Navarre, Fla.; sisters, Martha Privett, Ruth Boyles and Anna Lauer, all of Ohio; a brother, Edwin Wolfer Jr. of Ohio; and four grandchildren.
