Juanita Craig, well known in Pendleton County
Juanita Roberts Craig knew just about everyone there was to know in Pendleton Count y. And they knew her, too - as one of the best cooks in the county and an avid quilter.
"She was boisterous, and she would tell you exactly what she was thinking," said her daughter, Linda Sue Mockbee Westbrook of Falmouth.
Ms. Craig, 81, died Saturday at Falmouth home after an extended illness. She was a member of Falmouth United Methodist Church for well over 70 years, where she was a trustee for years.
She worked as deputy court clerk in Pendleton County for 12 years starting in the 1960s, then as an assistant director of the Farmers' Home Administration for another 12 years.
After retiring, Ms. Craig enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and University of Kentucky Wildcats, rarely missing a game, her daughter said.
Other survivors include a sister, Lola B. Courtney of Carrollton; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth. Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.

Claude Hicks, 87, of Covington, died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. He was a retired machinist with Liggett and Platt Machine Shop, member of Linden Social Club and an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Sarah "Crickett" Clark Hicks, died in 1986.
Survivors include daughters, Linda Brown of Fort Mitchell and Barbara Kotter of Cincinnati; sister, Alberta "Birtie" Bay of Covington; two grandsons and one great-grandson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Mary Eleanor Huesman, 85, of Fort Mitchell, died at 3:13 a.m. Friday at Village Care Center, Erlanger. She was a retired director for the Department of Welfare, Kenton County and a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Fort Mitchell. Her husband, Harry A. Huesman, and a son, Bill Huesman, both died in 1965.
Survivors include sons, Lee Huesman of Union, Joe Huesman of Walton, Don Huesman of South Wales, Pa., and Tim Huesman of Covington; daughters, Mary Jane Schweitzer of San Antonio, Texas and Judy Huesman of Erlanger; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Florence King, 68, of Melbourne, died Sunday at Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport. She was a member of Independence Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Newport. Her husband, Charles King, died in 1997.
Survivors include a son, David King of Melbourne; daughter, Charlotte Sheffel of Newport; sisters, Lila Burbank and Eion Boodry, both of Iron River, Mich.; brothers, Raymond Boodry of Falmouth and David Burbank of Iowa; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Charles William "Bud" Linville, 70, of Mason County, died Saturday at Meadowview Regional Medical Center, Maysville. He was a retired farmer and a member of Kentontown Christian Church. His wife, Della Mae Cunningham Linville, preceded him in death. Survivors include a son, Nelson W. Linville of Maysville; daughters, Betty Hayslip of Dover, Mary Hinson of Maysville, Rosalee Null of Buffalo, W.Va., and Vera Willoughby of Flemingsurg; sisters, Sara Mastin of Mount Olivet and Anna Mary French of Tollesboro; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Sister Mary Ruth McGlone C.D.P., 94, of Melbourne, died at 9:50 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Home, Melbourne. She was a member of the Congregation of Divine Providence for 69 years. She worked as a housekeeper in seminaries and clergy residences.
Mass of Christian burial is at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Anne Convent, Melbourne. Maude Moore, 93, of Bromley, died at 4 p.m. Friday at Bloomington, Ind., Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church, Taylor Mill. Her husband, Charles Moore, died in 1979. A daughter, Juanita Rohlman, died in 1997.
Survivors include sons, Donald Moore of Covington and Jerry Moore of Bloomington, Ind.; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.

John Raymond Frank NeCamp, 95, of Fort Thomas, died Friday at Carmel Manor Nursing Home, Fort Thomas.
He was an engineer with Robertson Steel and Iron Co. and Chainline Fence Co., and a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Newport. He was on the church council.
Survivors include his wife, Lavora Lucille Smith NeCamp; John P. NeCamp of Al exandria; daughter, Cynthia Kay Wenck of Cincinnati; brothers, Edward of Bellevue and Herbert NeCamp of Wilder; and four grandchildren.

Leona Ann Wojtyla Olson, 77, of Independence, died Friday at her home. She was a retired banquet waitress with Marriott Hotels and a member of St. Barbara Church, Independence. Her husband, Harold Chester Olson, died in 1994. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ellen Olson of Independence; brothers, Paul Wojtyla of Pueblo, Colo., and Henry Wojtyla of Schiller, Ill.; a sister, Matilda Foster of Chicago; and four grandchildren.

John J. Schroeder, 78, of Florence, died Friday at University Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a retired vice president of Stewart-Decatur Iron Works, member of St. Paul Church in Florence, and a WWII Army Air Corps vet. His wife, Edith Marie Schroeder, died in 1993; daughter Debbie Schroeder preceded her in death. Survivors include two grandchildren.
