Gayla A. Trumble
SHERIDAN -- Gayla A. Trumble, 76, 1493 E. Fenwick Road, Fenwick, passed away Friday, Dec. 20, 1996, at United Memorial Hospital, Greenville. She was born May 25, 1920, in Lyons Twp., Ionia County, to George R. and Grace Bowman Sage. She married
Floyd Trumble on Dec. 21, 1946, in Elsie. She had been a longtime resident of the Palo and Fenwick areas. She is a member of the VFW Post 5065 Ladies Auxiliary and attended the Sheridan Assembly of God Church. She spent many years working with her husband throughout Michigan doing the Lord's work in ministry. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Gayla and Kevin O'Brien of Ionia; three sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred and Elvira Rogers of Watersmeet, Van and Vicky Trumble of Holland, Riste and Susan Trumble of Fenwick; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd on Sept. 12, 1996; one son, Maynard Rogers, in 1985; and one brother, Wayne Sage, in 1960. Funeral services were held today at 11 a.m. at the Stebbins & Simpson Funeral Home, Sheridan, with the Reverend Carl Gruno officiating. Interment was in Woodard Lake Cemetery. Memorial considerations may be made to the Rev. Glendell DeVaney Missionary in New Mexico.
Floyd Trumble
SHERIDAN - Floyd Trumble, 78, 1493 E. Fenwick Road, Fenwick, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 1996, at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids. He was born May 17, 1918, in St. Charles, the son of Ervin and Mary Harris Trumble. Mr. Trumble had been a longtime resident of Palo and Fenwick. He retired from Fisher Body in Lansing. He was an ordained minister since 1940 doing chalk work throughout Michigan. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army in the South Pacific. He also was a life member of the DAV of Belding and VFW Post 5065 of Sheridan. On Dec. 21, 1946, in Elsie, he married
Gayla Arlene Sage. He is survived by his wife, Gayla Arlene Trumble; his mother, Mary Trumble of Orleans; one daughter and son-in-law, Gayla and Kevin O'Brien of Ionia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Van and Vicky Trumble of Holland, Riste and Susan Trumble of Fenwick; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Alfred and Elvira Rogers of Watersmeet; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Virgil Pitchford of Stanton, Irene Carpenter of Fenwick, Ivahdell Lake of Greenville, Hope and Charles Ring of Belding, Nelvor and Orsie Alexander of Vickeryville; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edson and Viola Trumble of Belding, Ervin Jr. and Ellen Trumble of Muir. He was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Trumble, in 1967; and one stepson, Maynard Rogers, in 1985. Funeral services will Monday at 11 a.m. at the Stebbins & Simpson Funeral Home, Sheridan, with the Rev. Carl Gruno officiating. Interment will be in Woodard Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial considerations may be made to Rev. Glendell DeVaney Missionary in New Mexico.

James M. Trumbull, of Savona, died at the Bath Hospital Tuesday night last week, aged 89 years. He had been in poor health for the past two years. He is survived by four sons, Maurice, of Womble, Ark., James, of Reading Center, Ward, of Bath, and Frank of Savona, and one daughter, Mrs. Ed Sweesey, of Savona.
Oyan, Frances Trumble (age 68)
On Jan. 22, 1997 in Clearwater FL after a long illness. Survived by three children, Col. Roy Trumble, Ft. Benning GA, Linda Wildman, Chicago IL, and Mary Bowman, Manassas VA. Eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also survived by her mother, Laura A. Payne. preceded in death by her father, Ike G. Payne Sr. and two brothers. A memorial service will be held Wed., Jan. 29, 1997 at 11 am, Fairfax Circle Baptist Ch., 3110 Chicester Lane, Fairfax VA. Reception follows at the church. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations to your local hospice.
Rodney Trumble
1953-1996
Rodney died peacefully at his San Francisco home November 17 after three years of battling bravely and uncomplainingly against AIDS. With him were his mother, Agnes, and life partner, David Forbes. Following childhood in Florida, Rodney pursued an ambitious academic life at universities in Europe, Canada and the United States. Fluent in his first love, French, as well as Spanish, German and Italian, Rodney earned Ph.D.s in philosophy and French literature. Rodney posessed a huge heart. He loved and loved to be loved. He cared faithfully for his partner, Carlos Boseley, until Boseley's death in 1989. A loving son, brother and life partner, he lived as much for his family of close friends in Europe as for those in the United States. He gave at least as much as he received. Rodney found tremendous faith and strength at All Saints' Episcopal Church in San Francisco. They supported him to the end. He was also surrounded with warmth and unstinting care by his doctors and nurses. He asked to be remembered by gifts either to All Saints' or to Visiting Nurses and Hospice of San Francisco. Thank you, Rodney, for giving us so much love. May you rest in peace.
TRUMBLE, Richard Oliver -
Age 53 of Roseburg, passed away Monday, September 15, 1997 at a hospital in Eugene, Oregon. He was born March 7, 1944 in Conway, Massachusetts to William J. and Lena (Ducharme) Trumble. Mr. Trumble proudly served his country as a paratrooper of the 82nd Airborne from 1963-1966. He was stationed in Santa Domingo, Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crises. After his discharge, he was employed by the VA in Leeds, Massachusetts for eight years before moving to Roseburg in 1978. He continued work at the VA in Roseburg to present. Richard was united in marriage to Mary Mott, September 15, 1978 in Winston, Oregon. He was a member of the VFW and the AFGE local 1042. He was most proud of his family and was a devoted and loving son, husband father, brother and friend. He liked to fish and be in the outdoors. Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Mary of Roseburg; a daughter, Wendy Collins and her husband Doug of Roseburg; three sons, Wayne Trumble and his wife Kim of Roseburg, Matt Trumble and his wife Wendy of Denver, Colorado and Andy Trumble of Roseburg; his mother Lena Trumble of Northampton, Massachusetts; a sister Barbara A. Dermerski of Hadley, Massachusetts, four brothers, Harold J. Trumble of Virginia, William R. Trumble of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, John F. "Jack" Trumble of Northampton, Massachusetts and Thomas A. Trumble of Washington state; numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father and Martha McMillen. Memorial services will be held Friday, September 19, 1997 at 3 p.m. at WILSON'S CHAPEL OF THE ROSES. Chaplain Wally Gwaltney will officiate. Interment will be in Roseburg Memorial Gardens. A closed casket visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Thursday, September 18th at the chapel. TRUMBULL, Edward Michael, 42, passed on to our Lord August 15, 1997. Fond memories be held and forgiveness forgiven on this day. E.A. (Ed) Trumble
SULPHUR SPRINGS-- Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday for E.A. (Ed) Trumble, 57, of Point, at Clifton cemetery with Kerry Noland Officiating. He died Sunday [June 29, 1997] at the Cy-Fair Hospital in Harris County. He was born Aug. 12, 1939, in Vernon to Tommy Lee and Mary Lou Byrum Trumble. He married
Bonnie Moore on May 17, 1957 in Dallas. Trumble retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving from 1957 to 1977. He worked as a supervisor for a road construction company the past 20 years. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Tonie Trumble of Lake Dallas, Alan Trumble of Wolfe City and Ryan Trumble of Dallas; one daughter, Lanita Noland of Lake Dallas; a brother, James Trumble of Sulphur springs; a sister, Sue Phillips of Jackson, Miss.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister. Pallbearers were Alan Trumble, Ryan Trumble, Tonie Trumble, Kerry Holand, Howard Phillips and Curtis McVay. Ernest Love and Chris Carmody served as honorary pallbearers. Tapp Funeral Home of Sulphur Springs was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Mary Ellen Trumble
Mrs. Mary Ellen Trumble, wife of W.W. Trumble, was born at LaPorte, Indiana, January 13, 1847, died at the City hospital at Junction City, Kansas, January 28, 1915, at the age of 68 years and 15 days. Mary Ellen Butler was united in marriage to W.W. Trumble March 23rd, 186l, at Geneva, Wisconsin, and moved to Nebraska the same year. In 1876, they moved to Marysville, Kansas and since that time have lived in Kansas. To this union were born eleven children--4 boys and 7 girls, 3 boys have preceded her to the great beyond. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, W.W. Trumble, of Greenleaf, and eight children--Mrs. David Rhineboalt, Mrs. W.H. Stanford, Mrs. John Park and C. Gustave Trumble, of Greenleaf, Mrs. Ellen Graves of Junction City, Kansas, Mrs. Geo. Park of Solomon, Kansas, Mrs Minnie Cook of Beatrice, Nebraska and Mrs. Agnes Dumont of Brownsville, Texas, and two brothers and one sister, thirty-one grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors to mourn her loss.
Guy E. Trumbull Dies Thursday; Rites Conducted
Guy E. Trumbull, 49, Basin businessman succumbed about 8:15 last Thursday morning [3 May 1956] at the Basin General hospital where he had been undergoing treatment since suffering a heart attack on April 26. Funeral services were conducted at the First Methodist church Saturday afternoon with the Rev. Thomas Adam of the First Presbyterian Church of Greybull officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Merton M. Cox of the First Methodist church. Miss Hortense Zaring, Mrs. Dorothy Gish and Mrs. J.T. Bishop formed a trio to sing "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden." Mrs. Charles Clarkson was at the console of the organ. Guy Edwin Trumbull, eldest son of Oscar A. and Lula Crawford Trumbull was born in Franklin, Neb., January 5, 1907. When he was a small child, the family moved to Elwood, neb., where they resided until 1920 when they moved to Emblem Bench west of Greybull to make their home. In 1923 Mr. Trumbull left Emblem for Cody where he was employed at various occupations until 1929 when he returned to Emblem to engage in farming for himself and to help his father on the Trumbull farm. On October 1, 1934, he was united in marriage with Miss Edna Linn of Greybull in a ceremony at Billings, Mont. To this union were born two daughters, Cara Jean and Linda. Mr. and Mrs. Trumbull resided at Emblem for a short time following their marriage them moved to Greybull to make their home. Mr. Trumbull was employed by Greybull Elevator for 11 years and later worked at the Short Stop Service station. In 1952, he moved with his family to Basin where he went into partnership with his brother-in-law, Frank Linn, in the Red Horse Service station. Early on April 26 he suffered a heart attack and was taken to the Basin General hospital where he remained a patient until a second attack May 3 resulted in his death. He was a past noble grand of Wyoming lodge No. 12, I.O.O.F., and was a member of Greybull Lodge No. 1437, B.P.O.E. Surviving are his widow, two daughters, Cara Jean and Linda, all of Basin; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Trumbull
Muriel Arzella (Trumbull) Oleson
Muriel T. Oleson and her husband lived for many years in Huron, S.D., where she operated a ceramic studio. She moved to Billings in 1970.
She was a member of the South Dakota and Montana State Ceramic Associations, was a devoted wife and mother, Sunday school teacher, Girl Scout leader, Cub Scout den mother, and worked on many parent-teacher school committees while her children were growing up. She enjoyed many hobbies, her favorite being ceramics, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, YWCA, the Residers Club and several bridge clubs.
Mrs. Oleson, 71, of 3106 Lee Ann Blvd., died Monday [18 May 1987] in Billings Deaconess Medical Center of heart failure.
Born in Elwood, Neb., a daughter of Oscar and Lula Trumbull, she moved with her parents at an early age to Emblem, Wyo. She attended grade school in Emblem and high school in Greybull. She graduated from Billings Business College and worked as a legal secretary. On Aug. 6, 1938, she married
Martin H. Oleson Jr. in St. Anthony, Idaho.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sandra Hine of Cleveland, Ohio; a son, Martin of Clear Lake, S.D.; a brother, Harvey Trumbull of Cody; and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary with burial of cremains in Terrace Gardens Cemetery.
