John Donelan, security guard
John William Donelan spent his life working hard and caring for his family. A father of five, Mr. Donelan worked 12-hour days as a security guard for 37 years to ensure that his family was properly cared for, said a daughter, Paula Silbersack of Alexandria.
"He put in a lot of time to support us and send us through school," said Mrs. Silbersack. Mr. Donelan, 78, of Fort Thomas, died at 5:37 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East in Fort Thomas.
Mr. Donelan took great pride in his grandchildren. He spent hours teaching them card games and telling them jokes and stories, his daughter said. He loved nature and enjoyed watching University of Kentucky basketball and Notre Dame football.
Mr. Donelan took great pride in his Irish heritage. "His grandfather was Irish. He came over from Ireland as a young child," Mrs. Silbersack said.
He was a retired security guard with Cal Crim Agency and a World War II veteran.
Other survivors include his wife of 47 years, Margaret Donelan; a daughter Mary Ann Donelan of Fort Thomas; sons, William Donelan of Cold Spring, Thomas Donelan of Cincinnati and Robert Donelan of Fort Thomas; brothers, Richard Donelan of Cold Spring and James Donelan of Fort Thomas; a sister, Patricia Zint of Cold Spring; and 12 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Church, Fort Thomas. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
James Brown, 72, of Tallahassee, Fla., formerly of Northern Kentucky, died Monday in Tallahassee. He was a retired employee of the Florida Department of Transportation, a past president of ECHO and treasurer of the Tallahassee Republican Club.
He was an associate member of Capitol City Chapter of Enrolled Agents and an elder with Capital City Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nettie L. Brown; daughters, Victoria B. Swilley of Tallahassee and Sharon B. Winston of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, Wayne L. Brown of Memphis, Tenn.; a sister, Virginia L. Brown of Tallahassee; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Capital City Christian Church, Tallahassee. Visitation will begin there at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Tallahassee.

Jeffrey S. Fedders, 58, of Villa Hills, died Monday of injuries suffered in a tractor accident on the family farm in Burlington. He was a self-employed caterer and cook, and a retired partner of Fedders Market, Crescent Springs. He was a member of Crescent/Villa Fire Authority, the Villa Hills Civic Club, Villa Hills Golf League, the Moonlite Hunting and Fishing Club in Burlington and the Kenton County Lions Club. He was also an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Rosalie Young Fedders; his father, Camillus "Mil" Fedders of Florence; a brother, Timothy L. Fedders of Burlington; and sisters, Claudia Ann Behne of Florence and Judith L. Brennan of Villa Hills.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Church, Crescent Springs. Entombment will be in St. Mary Mausoleum, Fort Mitchell.

Harold Curtis Judy, 70, of Owenton, died Tuesday at his home. He was a retired truck driver with Jergensen Trucking Co., Cincinnati, and a Korean War veteran. His wife, Joyce Bishop Judy, preceded him in death.
Survivors include daughters, Peggy Moore and Ruth Ann Judy, both of Owenton, and Renee Calendar of Warsaw; a son, Rodney Calendar of Verona; a sister, Dorothy Hawkins of Owenton; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McDonald Funeral Home, Main Street, Owenton. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Owenton.

Dolores A. Weinbercht Kordenbrock, 78, of Maryville, Ill., formerly of Fort Mitchell, died at 3:15 a.m. Sunday at Maryville Manor Nursing Home. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Robert J. Kordenbrock, died in 1989.
Survivors include sons, David R. Kordenbrock of Glen Carbor, Ill., Richard R. Kordenbrock of St. Louis and Robert J. Kordenbrock of Pittsburgh; daughters, Janice A. Connors of St. Louis and Pamela A. Babington of Crystal Lake, Ill.; and 12 grandchildren.

Marc Leonard Lillard, 36, of New Liberty, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was a mechanic.
Survivors include his parents, Danny Lillard of Sparta and Mary K. Sutherland Combs of Price, Utah; and brothers, Johnny Noel Lillard of St. George, Utah, and Michael J. Lillard of Seattle.

Roberta Blanton McBee, 82, of Dry Ridge, died Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a retired homemaker and a member of Vine Run Baptist Church. Her husband, Lawrence McBee, died in 1997.
Survivors include a son, Larry McBee of Hebron; daughters, Shirley Blanton, Jewell Cummins and Maxine Frye, all of Williamstown, Ada Stewart of Barbourville, Joyce Gamonley of Paios Park, Ill., and Mary Ann Irvin of Dry Ridge; four half-brothers; four half-sisters; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Stevie Wayne Payton, son of Mark Daniel and Rebecca Jo Cornett Payton of Carrollton, was stillborn Saturday at Norton Hospital, Louisville.
Other survivors include a brother, Noah Daniel of Carrollton; grandparents, Dianna and Donald Smith of Carrollton and Mary and Chester Payton of Carrollton; and great-grandmother, Anna Mildred Smith of Carrollton.

Kathryn Helen Reeves, 83, of Covington, died Tuesday at St. Charles Care Center, Fort Wright. She was an office manager with Maryland Casualty Co. and a member of St. Joseph Church, Crescent Springs. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of Lawler-Hanlon VFW Post No. 5662 in Newport, the VFW National Home, Happy Timers Seniors and Hill Toppers Seniors.
Survivors include a brother, Charles Arthur Reeves of Florence; two nieces and a nephew.
