John Theodorous Trumbull.
John Theodorous Trumbull, son of Theodore and Mary A. Trumbull, was born in Cook County, Ill., July 13, 1873, and passed away at Baldwin Kansas, May 16, 1925, at the age of 51 years, 10 months, and 3 days. When he was two years old his parents moved to Iowa, and later to Nebraska, where he grew to manhood. It was here, at the age of 21 years, that he had the misfortune of losing his right arm. Occurring as it did at this age he was compelled to begin and learn over many things, but he succeeded wonderfully, and became a splendid penman. In 1900 Mr. Trumbull was married
to Cora Elizabeth Hutchins, and to this union were born six children, five of whom, with their mother, survive. Besides his family, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary a. Trumbull of Hildreth, Nebr., five brothers and two sisters. When a young man, Mr. Trumbull was converted and joined the M.E. church, and on coming to Baldwin, transferred his membership, with his wife's, to this church. Mr. Trumbull has lived in Bladwin over seventeen years, moving among men always as an upright and conscientious Christian with high ideals. His passing will leave a vacancy among the people with whom he associated in his labor and life, that will not be easily filled.
