Pearl Trumbull dies
Pearl B. Trumbull, 93, of Laramie, died Monday, Feb 13, 1995, at Community Care Center. she was born Oct. 8, 1901, in Mandel, Wyo., a daughter of Phillip and Anna (Puls) Bath. She grew up on a ranch near Laramie and graduated from University Prep High School in 1918. She was married
to Fred R. Trumbull Oct. 15, 1922, in Laramie. Mr. and Mrs. Trumbull owned and operated the Collegian Dairy in Laramie until 1960 when they sold it. Mrs. Trumbull resided in Laramie all her life. She was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Cathedral, the Rebekah Lodge and the Eastern Star. her hobbies included needlework and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Henry Bath; three sisters, Mabel Baillie, Carrie Maddock and Bessie Bath; and a grandson, Dennis Trumbull. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Philip W. and Irene Gayle Trumbull, and Frederick W. "Bill" and Evelyn Trumbull, all of Laramie; five grandchildren, Mark Trumbull, Laramie, Leigh Ann Aragon, Sheridan, David Trumbull, North Fork, Va., Robert Trumbull, Laramie, and Phyllis Dunbar, Laramie; eight great-grandchildren, Samantha and Daniel Dunbar, Laramie, Kimberly and Mark Young and Tiffany Trumbull, North Fork, Brandon and Adam Aragon, Sheridan, and corey Trumbull, Tacoma, Wash. Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m. at Buck Heggie Funeral Home, the Very Rev. Lawrence S. Perry officiating. Edith T. Wertz, 81, a resident of Las Vegas, N.M., passed away Thursday, Sept. 26, at Southwest Senior Care Center following an extended illness.
She was born in Las Vegas, N.M., June 15, 1915, to the late Charles P. Trumbull and Artless Browne Trumbull.
She was united in marriage in Las Vegas, N.M., on Feb 22, 1944, to William K. Wertz.
She was employed by the District Attorney's Office as a legal secretary until her retirement.
She was a member of the Episcopal Church and a former member of the PEO Chapter H.
She is proceeded in death by her husband: William K. Wertz in 1991; and grandson: Christopher Wertz in 1981.
She is survived by three sons: William Wertz and wife Claire of Bartlesville, Okla., Bruce Wertz of Las Vegas, N.M., and Rick Wertz and wife Anna Marie of Crestone, Colo.; four grandchildren: Joseph Wertz and Andrew Wertz both of Okla., Paul Wertz of Boulder, Colo., and Judith Wertz of Crestone, Colo, ; one cousin: Barbara Johnson of California.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, October 4 at First Presbyterian Church, 1000 Douglas Ave., Las Vegas, N.M., with the Rev. Elizabeth Graham officiating. Cremation has taken place.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rogers Mortuary.

WALTER TRUMBULL, EX-SPORTS WRITER
NEWTOWN, Conn., Oct. 18, 1961
Walter S. Trumbull, retired sports writer, died today at his home here after a long illness. Mr. Trumbull, who had worked on several New York newspapers, was 81 years old.
Born in Illinois, he graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., in 1903. He started his newspaper career with the old Evening Sun, worked for the Evening Sun, The World, and later The Herald Tribune. In the Twenties he wrote sports columns for the North American Newspaper Alliance.
At College Mr. Trumbull achieved prominence in Baseball and as a track star.
During World War I he enlisted as a private and emerged as a captain. He served with the 115th Field Artillery.
Mr. Trumbull had been an assistant to the late Will Hays, who headed the Motion Pictures Association of America.
His grandfather was Senator Lyman Trumbull of Illinois, a close friend of Abraham Lincoln.
He is survived by his widow, the former Marjorie Skinner.

Ray W. Trumbull, 80, a former resident of RudoIph, died Saturday in Tucson, Ariz.
Trumbull was a member of Wood County Lodge F&AM No. 112, a life member of the National Rifle Association and member of the Tucson Rod and Gun Club.
He also was a member of the Rudolph Christian Church.
He was born Sept. 3, 1913, in Weston, to Clarence and Blanche (Garwood) Trumbull. He married
Garnet Shaner on March 17, 1932, in Indiana. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Ronald, of Custar; two daughters, Cheryl Forsberg, Bowling Green; and Lynn Ochlerich, Tucson; one sister, Theria Perlman, Toledo; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Janet Lee, and two brothers, Clarence and Clyde.
A memorial service will be held at the church Tuesday at 1 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Herberl Smith Scholarship Fund in care of the church.

Francis E. Trumbull, daughter of Titus L. and Elizabeth Mann, was born June 13, 1851, died at her home in Drumright, Oklahoma, Friday morning, Rebruary 6, 1925, age 73 years 7 months and 23 days.
She was united in marirage to James N. Trumbull January 25, 1872, who still survives her.
To this union weer born 6 sons and 2 daughters. Orva deceased, charles of Drumright, Okla., Clarence of Weston, O., Claud of Milton Center, O., Clark of Mackinay City, Mich., Lavern of Cooper, Okla., Mrs. A. E. Moody of Bellingham, Wash. and Mrs. C. W. Showman of Napoleon, 24 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and one brother Charles H. Mann of Pontiac, Mich., are left to mourn their loss.
Funeral services were held at the home 408 North Morrow street, Feb. 8th, conducted by the Rev. George Q. Fenn. Interment at the North Drumright cemetery.
