Roy McKenney, teacher, softball star

Even in his 60s, Roy "Pepsi" McKenney was a magician with a baseball bat, says his son Kevin, of Indianapolis.

"People will remember his athletic prowess," says the younger McKenney. "He was a really good hitter and had very high batting average, often around .750.

"He played on several world series softball teams - played until he was 70. He is in the National Senior Softball Hall of Fame and the Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame."
