Ruth V. Tomlin, a fixture at Covington's Anchor Grill
Ruth V. Tomlin kept the goetta and the gab coming for more than 40 years at the Anchor Grill in Covington.
"If you met her once, you remembered her," said her daughter, Carla Houze. "She was Irish. She was very stubborn, and she had a memory like an elephant. If she had something to tell you, she'd tell you."

in the mid-1960s and moved to Taylor Mill.
Mrs. Tomlin forged strong ties among her children and their families. Holiday dinners were huge feasts at the Tomlin house.
