Anna Ruth Feagan Adams was dedicated to family
Anna Ruth Feagan Adams was a dedicated wife, mother, sister and church deacon.
A brother, Eugene R. Feagan of Taylor Mill, said his sister was an outgoing woman who always put her family and friends ahead of herself.
"She was a wonderful sister. She stayed at home and raised two boys and a girl - and she kept a close eye on them," Feagan said.
Mrs. Adams, 87, of Covington, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood.
She was a member and a deacon of Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Lakeside Park and a member of the Christopher Gist Historical Society and the Midway College Alumni Association.
She was a past president of the Northern Kentucky Dental Auxiliary. Her husband, Dr. Charles C. Adams of Covington, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Adams grew up near Cynthiana, her brother said, and didn't mind sharing her opinions.
"She was outspoken," Feagan said. "She would tell anyone what she thought."
Other survivors include a daughter, Julia Preziosi of Fort Mitchell; sons, Clifford Adams of Fort Mitchell and Dr. James Adams of Maysville; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lakeside Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow services in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to Midway College, 512 E. Stephens St., Midway, Ky. 40347; Cincinnati Association for the Blind, 2045 Gilbert Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45202; or Lakeside Presbyterian Church, 2690 Dixie Highway, Lakeside Park, Ky. 41017. Radel Funeral Home, Newport, is handling arrangements.
Michael Nelson Capito, 45, of Williamstown, died Monday in LaGrange. He was formerly a commercial artist in Cincinnati.
Survivors include a son, Chaney Capito of Erlanger; daughters, Elizabeth Capito of Aurora, Ind., and Michaela Capito of Burlington; his parents, George and Mary Capito of Williamstown; a brother, Randall Capito of Dry Ridge; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Eckler-Hudson Funeral Home, Dry Ridge, is handling arrangements.
Charles H. Eibeck, 64, of Crittenden, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington.
Arrangements are pending at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown.
Albert L. Garrett, 79, of Carrollton, died Tuesday in Carrollton of injuries suffered in an accident. He was a retired partner in Carrollton Cabinet Factory and a member of St. John Church in Carrollton and the Carrollton American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred E. Freund Garrett; a daughter, Mary Kay Coots of Carrollton; sons, Robert M. Garrett of Houston and Richard L. Garrett of Louisville; sisters, Christine Heims and Lorine Davis, both of Heber Springs, Ark., and Jean Thurman of Los Angeles; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Church, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton, with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Carrollton.
Judith Turner Johnson, 60, of Newport, died Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a retired employee of Durkee Foods, Cincinnati. A daughter, Rita Faye Johnson, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, John Johnson Sr.; a son, John Thomas Johnson Jr. of Newport; her mother, Jenny Turner of Newport; brothers, Gary Turner, Larry Turner and Carson Turner, all of Newport; Rev. Gran Turner of Cold Spring and Rev. Paul Turner of Breathitt County; sisters, Rosemary Turner, Ida Ann Hall and Charity Sue Turner, all of Newport; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crockettville Cemetery.
Eugene Leger, 64, of Dayton, died Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was owner of Leger's Carry Out in Dayton.
Survivors include his wife, Mollie Couch Leger; sons, Gary Leger, Ben nie Ray Leger and Richard Eugene Leger, all of Dayton; a daughter, Kathy Mulla of Dayton; brothers, Leon Leger of Dayton and Herman Leger of London; sisters, Mildred Lynch of Redlion, Ohio, Betty Lou Sanders of Fort Myers, Fla., Annetta Begley, Dorothy Couch and Joanna Smith, all of London, Christine Reeder of Southgate and Elsie Withrow of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.
Rodney McCane, 60, of Augusta, died Tuesday at his home. He was a retired truck driver with Kroger Inc., Cincinnati.
Survivors include a daughter, Kerri Compton of Walton; a brother, Terry McCane of Burlington; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Augusta. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Augusta. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association, 2936 Vernon Place, Cincinnati, Ohio 45219.
Harold Gene McCubbin, 63, of Independence, died Tuesday at Gallatin Health Care Center, Warsaw. He was a truck driver with McClean Trucking Co. and a member of Walton-Verona Masonic Lodge No. 876. His wife, Nellie McCubbin, died in 1986.
Survivors include sons, Neil McCubbin of Dry Ridge and Tommy McCubbin of Covington; daughters, Debbie Liford of Dry Ridge and Tammy Moore of Covington; brothers, Charles David McCubbin of Florence and Terry McCubbin of Walton; and seven grandchildren.

Wanda L. Poland, 58, of Glencoe, died of cancer Tuesday at her home. She was a social service aide with Community Base Services, Warsaw, and a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church, Glencoe.
Survivors include her husband, Lonnie D. Poland; a daughter, Darla Jones of Glencoe; a son, David Poland of Glencoe; brothers, Paul Mallory of San Antonio, Gene Mallory of Danville, Bobby Mallory of Nicholasville, Ecton Mallory of Taylor Mill, Ray Dean Mallory of Ludlow and James Pedro Mallory of Louisville; sisters, Wilma Kinnan of Frankfort and Donna Cook of Crestwood; and four grandsons.

Hazel Spoonamore, 74, of Florence, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. She was a homemaker and a member of Her husband, Paul Spoonamore Sr., died in 1994.
Survivors include sons, Danny L. Spoonamore of Alexandria and Paul Spoonamore Jr. of Greenwood, Ind.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Greenwood, Ind. Alexandria Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Virginia Wedding Stafford, 79, of Covington, died at 11:50 a.m. Monday at Atria Highland Crossing, Fort Wright. She was a homemaker and a member of Fort Mitchell Baptist Church. Her first husband, Arthur Wedding, died in 1991.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Stafford; a son, Robert Wedding of Las Vegas; a daughter, Linda Durham of Crescent Springs; a stepson, Gregory Stafford of Rising Sun, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
