William 'T-Bone' Clark Jr., worked hard to raise large family
William "T-Bone" H. Clark Jr. always worked hard to support his family.
He was the oldest of 16 siblings. Mr. Clark also was the father of eight children.
"He didn't go to school because he had to take care of everybody," said his daughter, Barbara Goetz of Fort Thomas."He always worked all his life, sometimes double and triple shifts to take care of his family. Whenever anybody needed help they would go to him."
Mr. Clark, 83, of Alexandria, died Thursday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was an employee of Newport Steel. His wife, Alice McHugh Clark, preceded him in death.
Mrs. Goetz said her father wanted his children to have more than he did. "Coming from the Depression Era, they didn't have much," Mrs. Goetz said. "We all had a private education in Catholic schools. That took extra money. He worked hard to support us."
Mr. Clark played the guitar. He also enjoyed going on fishing trips.
Though he always looked out for his family, Mr. Clark also quietly helped others.
"If he knew somebody needed something, even something as small as a fruit basket, he would deliver it and not tell anybody," Mrs. Goetz said.
