Southgate's Michael Ware, loved family, fishing, work
Michael Ware enjoyed his family, his job and fishing.
A daughter, Donna Crail of Florence, said Mr. Ware had an excellent sense of humor that spread through the rest of his family.
"He was always happy and had a smile on his face," Mrs. Crail said.
"He enjoyed life like no one else I knew. He was very involved with his kids and grandkids."
Mr. Ware, 53, of Southgate, died at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday at his home after a long illness. He was a meat salesman with HMI Distributing of Cincinnati and was a member of Campbell County Bob White Club and Kentucky River Bass Masters, Richmond.
Mr. Ware was born and raised in Campbell County. He has fished for many years and enjoyed competing in tournaments, his daughter said. Mr. Ware had gone to Canada to fly fish and enjoyed fishing from both the banks and the middle of streams, his daughter said.
Mr. Ware also coached his grandson Brad Crail's Knothole baseball team to a championship in 1996, Mrs. Crail said.
"I remember him most for his sense of humor," Mrs. Crail said.
Mr. Ware is also survived by his wife, Barbara Sue Wolfe Ware; his other daughters, Christine A. Ware and Jennifer L. Ware, both of Newport; sons, Michael P. Ware of Florence, Jeffrey P. Ware of Southgate and Brian J. Ware of St. Louis; his mother, Miriam Ware of Southgate; sisters, Fran Angel of Laguna Niguel, Calif., and Tessie Lueke of Fort Wright; brothers, Steve Ware of Villa Hills, Tom Ware of Alexandria and Ron Ware of Bellbrook, Ohio; and eight grandchildren.
Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Therese Church, Southgate. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas, with prayers following. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
William C. Ayers, 42, of Sacramento, Calif., formerly of Northern Kentucky, died Feb. 22 in Park Hills. He was a self-employed painter.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret Ayers of Erlanger; a brother, Robert Ayers of Omaha, Neb.; and a sister, Betsy Ayers of Erlanger.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Christian Community Church, Fort Wright. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice. Radel Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Harold Aylor, 88, of Boone County, died at 9:55 p.m. Tuesday at Florence Park Care Center.
Arrangements are pending at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence.
Joan Harsley Bell, 62, of Brandon, Fla., formerly of Independence, died at 12:44 p.m. Saturday at Brandon Regional Hospital. She was a sales agent with Progressive Insurance Co., Brandon.
Survivors include a son, Scott Wallin of Tampa, Fla.; daughters, Dauneen Bell of Ludlow and Donzetta Laietta of Brandon; her mother, Mary Elizabeth Harsley of Brandon; a brother, Richard Harsley of Tampa; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Highland cemetery Chapel, Fort Mitchell. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 tonight at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Covington. Louise Sparks Day, 59, of Walton, died at 8:02 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington.
She was a homemaker and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, Verona.
A son, Ricky Day, died in 1978.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Day; a son, Glen Day of Walton; sisters, Nellie Toole of Sparta, Katherine Black of Crawfordsville, Ind., Dorothy Good of Walton; a brother, George "Bud" Sparks of Walton; and one grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Fri day at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Walton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hughes Chapel Cemetery. Frank Edward Dinser Sr., 80, of Burlington, died Tuesday at Harmony Court Nursing Home, Cincinnati. He was a retired mechanic with Airport Ford, where he worked for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Dinser; sons, Frank E. Dinser Jr. of Burlington, Robert William Dinser of Verona, Daniel Eugene Dinser of Cincinnati, Timothy Dale Dinser of Lakeland, Fla., Jeffrey K. Dinser of Hebron; a sister, Dolly Haake of Covington; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Burlington. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
Joseph Tillman Harper, 91, of Falmouth, died Tuesday at Gardens Personal Care Facility, Ocean Springs, Miss.

Christopher Hegge, 42, of Boone County, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.

Felix "T. J." "Cowboy" Lopez, 43, of Lorain, Ohio, formerly of Kentucky, died Saturday at University Hospital, Lexington. He was a nurse's aide, an artist and wood carver, and a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. He was a Marine Corps veteran.
Survivors include his mother, Aida L. Rosado of Lorain; a son, Bruce Lopez of Cleveland; daughters, Tanya Lopez of Miami, Nicole Lopez of Westlake, Ohio, and Monique Lopez of Cleveland; brothers, Jose Lopez and Victor Lopez, both of Lorain, Edwin Lopez of Elyria, Ohio, and Harry Lopez of New York; sisters, Vicky Marquez, Lupe Lopez and Virginia Lopez, all of Lorain, and Hedy Lopez of Catano, Puerto Rico; and his fi ancee, Joyce Brinson of Latonia.

Leroy D. Otte, 78, of Covington, died Monday at his home. he was a supervisor with R. A. Jones Co. and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, Dennis L. Otte of Medina, Ohio; a daughter, Donna M. Otte of Covington; a sister, Rosemary Groger of Edgewood; brothers, Eugene Otte of Elsmere and Jim Otte of Brunswick, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

Nellie Cobb Scott, 81, of Owenton, died Monday at Owen County Memorial Hospital, Owenton. She was an owner of Long Ridge Grocery Store, Owen County. Her husband, E. D. Scott, died in 1994.
Survivors include daughters, Rita Ann Richardson of Owenton and Marcia Bowling of Lexington; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Ernest "Smitty" Smith, 59, of Covington, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was retired from Newport Steel.
Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Smith of Covington; stepdaughters, Kim Alford Gibson of Elsmere and Beverly Wilson of Fort Wright; sisters, Della Stinson of Paducah and Ina Eddings of New Castle, Ind.; and one granddaughter.
Services will be at noon Friday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Gar dens, Cincinnati.
Geneva Winans, 85, of Dry Ridge, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood.
