Raleigh Edwin Feltner, company owner and GM worker
Raleigh Edwin Feltner, of Demossville, seldom had time for sleep.
For many years, he worked during the day as owner and painter for Feltner Enterprise, and at night as an assembly line worker for General Motors at the now-closed plant in Norwood, Ohio.
He continued his own business after the GM plant closed.
Mr. Feltner, 57, died Wednesday at his residence.
When he wasn't working Mr. Feltner liked to show his cars, his daughter, Lisa Webster of Morning View, said. His favorite was a 1968 Ranchero, she said.
An Air Force veteran, Mr. Feltner also enjoyed boating.
"He'd do anything for anybody," his daughter said.
Other survivors include sons, Jerry Feltner of Demossville, Rodney Feltner of Falmouth and Randy Feltner of Crittenden; his stepmother, Alta Feltner of Wooton, sisters, Bethel Lee Schoenung of Dry Ridge, and Opha Feltner, Marie Mitchell and Katie Cornett, all of Wooton; brothers, Jim Feltner of Summerville, S.C., Walter Feltner of Erlanger, Sheldon Feltner of Stephenville, Texas, and Ronald Feltner, Taylor Feltner and John Roland Feltner, all of Wooton.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Burlington Cemetery.

Virginia M. Carr, 75, of Covington, died at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizab eth Medical Center South in Edgewood. She was a homemaker and was a retired worker for the Kentucky State Highway Department. Her husband, Edward B. Carr, died in 1975.
Survivors include a sister, Jean Bailey of Pineville, W.Va.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Memorials are suggested to charity of donor's choice.
Alice Ewing, 94, of Covington, died Wednesday at Woodspoint Care Center in Florence. She was a homemaker. Her husband, William Ewing, and a son, Robert Ewing, both preceded her in death .
Survivors include grandchildren, Sharon Pavey of Highland Heights and Robert Ewing Jr. of Japan; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. Memorials are suggested to charity of donor's choice.
Margaret C. Hawley, 96, formerly of Ludlow, died Thursday at Mercy Franciscan Hospital in Cincinnati. She was a member of Sts. Boniface and James Church, Ludlow; St. Mary Altar Society; Ludlow Senior Citizens; and Ladies Auxiliary of Knights of Columbus Kehoe Council, Ludlow. Her husband, Robert Hawley Sr., died in 1983. A son, David Hawley, died in 1969.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Stober of Cincinnati; a son, Robert Hawley of Columbus, Ohio; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sts. Boniface and James Church, Ludlow. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow. Theodore "Skeets" Kunkel, 75, of Ludlow, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood. He was retired from Rockwell International in Florence, and General Electric in Blue Ash, Ohio. He was a member of St. Henry Church, Elsmere; and Catholic Order of Foresters, Blessed Sacrament Court No. 2015.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen Kerns Kunkel; a son, Tim J. Kunkel of Lexington; a daughter, Susan A. Davis of Taylor Mill; sisters, Blanche Hahn of Florence, Mary Minor of Reading, Ohio, Eileen "Heinze" Kunkel of Albion, Calif., and Mary Lucille "Susie" Zimmerman of Edgewood; and two grandchildren.

George Edward Ladd, 84, of Covington, died Thursday at his residence. He was a retired shipping clerk for Hillshire Farms and Kahn's. His wife, Irene N. Stephens Ladd, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Rita Mack of Franklin, Ohio; a son, George E. Ladd of Covington ; and seven grandchildren.

Charlie Graham Mabe, 68, of Corinth, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Grant County in Williamstown. He was a retired truck driver for Maxwell, Cincinnati, and a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Mitchell Mabe; a daughter, Nora Cook of Corinth; his moth er, Lucinda Mabe of West Hamlin, W.Va.; brothers, Sam Mabe of Kernersville, N.C., J.P. Mabe of Milton, W.Va., and Richard Mabe of Point Pleasant, W.Va.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Robert Andrew Schmidt, 82, of Fort Thomas, died at 5:55 a.m. Thursday at Highlands of Fort Thomas nursing home. He was a retired optician for Thoma Opti cians, Cincinnati.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Stadtmiller Schmidt; a daughter, Marilyn Joyce of Tucson, Ariz.; a son, Kenneth R. Schmidt of Villa Hills; and three grandchildren.

Catherine Georgiana Schweitzer, 73, of Augusta, died at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday at Meadowview Regional Hospital in Maysville. She was a homemaker and farm er, and a member of St. Augustine Church, Augusta.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Herman Schweitzer; daughters, Brenda Jett and Dorothy Schweitzer, both of Augusta; brothers, James Litzinger and Paul Litzinger, both of Maysville, Frank Litzinger of Germantown, John Litzinger of Georgetown and Eugene Litzin ger of Minerva; sisters, Betty Carpenter of Dover and Margaret Jackson of Newport; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Paul D. Snow, 58, of Louisville, formerly of Kenton County, died Wednesday at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Dean Snow of Dry Ridge; his mother and stepfather, Helen Snow Jump and George S. Jump of Independence; a brother, Dennis Ray Snow of Fair born, Ohio; and stepsisters, Linda Parsons of Cincinnati and Barbara Jump of Newport;

Tony Michael Gregory Sprecher, 14, of Covington, died Monday at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. He was an eighth-grade student at Louisville Alter native School and a member of Kenton County Boys and Girls Club and Boy Scouts of America.
Survivors include his mother, Janet Felton Brearton of Burlington; his father, Tony Sprecher of Blue Ash, Ohio; a brother, Justin Felton of Covington; sisters, Kristin Brearton and Jessica Brearton, both of Covington; and grandparents, Ray and Dixie Sprecher and Norma Eldridge, all of Covington.

Joseph Edward Stephenson, 69, of Verona, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North in Covington. He was a retired ticket agent for Delta Air Lines and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Walton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Zapp Stephenson of Verona; sons, Joseph Todd Stephenson of Williamstown and Howard Shea of Walton; and four grandchildren.

Cletus G. Stewart, of Oak Park, Ill., formerly of Fort Mitchell, died Tuesday at his residence. He was a self-employed sales trainer and a member of Church of the Ascension, Oak Park, Ill.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Ginney Stewart; daughters, Mary Pawelko, Rosanne Stewart and Patty Perisho, all of Oak Park, Ill., and Angela Kohut of Arlington, Heights, Ill.; a son, Cletus J. Stewart of Oak Park, Ill.; sisters, Sister Marie Vincent, S.C., of Cincinnati, and Rita Huber of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and two grandchildren.

John Joseph Tagert, 65, of Union, died Thursday at his residence. He was a retired mechanic and machinist for TWA. His wife, Wilma Jean Tagert, preceded him in death.
Survivors include daughters, Kim Aull of Florence and Gay Gamm of Burlington; his mother, Frances Tagert of Union; brothers, Bob Tagert of Dayton, Texas, Mike Tagert of Hull, Texas, and Darrell Tagert of Hebron; and three grandchildren.
