Griffin Carlisle, built construction company
Griffin Carlisle, 84, of Highland Heights, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was owner of Carlisle Construction Co., Wilder, a former director of Boone State Bank and a member of St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring. His wife, Anna Funaro Carlisle, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Carlisle of Highland Heights; a son, Wayne Carlisle of Fort Thomas; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas. Memorials are suggested to Wellness Community, 1717 Dixie Highway, Fort Wright, Ky. 41011, or The Point, 104 Pike St., Covington, Ky. 41011. Kathleen Carrara, 57, of Burlington, died Saturday at her home. She was a homemaker and a self-employed interior decorator, and a member of Florence Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Carrara; a daughter, Rhonda Kay Carrara of Elsmere; sons, Richard Adam Carrara of Burlington and Raymond Carrara Jr. of Williamstown; her mother, Angela Moser; a brother, William Moser Jr. of Las Vegas; sisters, Angela Brockman fo Fort Thomas and Mary Lou Mullins of Elsmere; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Mausoleum, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, 6612 Dixie Highway, Suite 2A, Florence, Ky. 41042.
Flossie Davis, 90, of Cincinnati, formerly of Covington, died Sunday at Mount Washington Care Center, Cincinnati.

Roy C. Gilliam Jr., 64, of Shreveport, La., died at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday at his home . He was a retired captain in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include a brother, John A. Gilliam of Alexandria.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. Alexandria Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Janet Hagedorn, 90, of Kenton Hills, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.

Leroy "Nobby" Hall III, 19, of Milton, Fla., formerly of Covington, died Wednesday in an automobile accident in Florida. He was a student.
Survivors include his parents, Leroy Hall Jr. and Cornelia Selm Hall of Milton; a sister, Ann a Lee Hall of Milton; and brothers, Christopher Lee Hall, Kyle Lee Hall and Kelly Lee Hall, all of Milton.

Eva Clarisse Hermes, 4 days, daughter of Tyson and Julie Hermes of Edgewood, died Friday at Children's Hospital, Cincinnati.

Garnett Meeks, 81, of Cynthiana, died at 9:15 p.m. Friday at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana. He was a retired building contrac tor and a deacon with Stringtown Christian Church, Grant County.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Belle Meeks; a son, Luther Lee "Butch" Meeks of Cynthiana; a daughter, Reba Stone of Sadie ville; two granddaughters, two step-grandchildren, three great- grandsons and four step-great- grandchildren.

Margaret Ruth Robinson, 83, of Cincinnati, formerly of Florence, died Friday at Bethesda North Hospital, Cincinnati. She was a retired bookkeeper with Aetna Casualty and Surety, and a member of Emera Chapter No. 392 Order of the Eastern Star and Florence United Methodist Church. Her husband, Christian D. Robinson, died in 1998.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Danbury of Cincinnati; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Joseph Oscar Russell, 77, of Florence, died Sunday at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Cincinnati.

Martha Catherine King Shelton, 74, of Madison, Ind., died April 17 in Madison. She was owner of Madison Booking Co. in Madison for many years, and was a waitress with the Fiesta Restaurant in Madison. She also worked for the Conn Organ Co. Her husband, Clifton E. Shelton, died in 1950.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy L. Gray of Florence; step daughter, Velma Jo "Jody" Kaczmarek of Lakeland, Fla., Sharon Sevier and Janet Duke, both of Madison; stepsons, E. Wayne Shelton, William Eugene Shelton and Larry D. Shelton, all of Madison; sisters, Margaret K. Hall and Myra K. Schureck, both of LaGrange; five grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and and seven step-great- grandchildren.

Virgil F. Souder, 81, of Williamstown, died at 11:05 p.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Grant County in Williamstown. He was a retired farmer and a retired employee of Husky-Burndy Indus tries, Florence. He was a member of Civilian Conservation Corps and Williamstown Baptist Church, and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ann C. Souder; a son, Bernard "Buddy" Souder of Cincinnati; daughters, Bonny Glass of Williamstown and Linda Beavers of Georgetown; a sister, Lois Osborne of Williamstown; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Charles Edward Spurlock, 75, of Glencoe, died Saturday at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Cincinnati. He was a retired truck driver, a member of Ten Mile Baptist Church in Glencoe, and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda Spurlock; daughters, Mabel Annita Hawn of Columbus, Ohio, Sandra "Kay" Martin and Jana Lynn Brown, both of Dayton, Ohio; sons, Danny Spurlock, Michael Spurlock, Darice Spurlock, Royce Spurlock, Bruce Spurlock and Timothy Spurlock, all of Day ton, Ohio; a stepson, Gene York of Mansfield, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Darlene Schneider of Erlanger; a sister, Dorothy Wright of Nor wood, Ohio; a brother, Luther "Brown" Spurlock of McKee; 29 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
