Mary Schnell, office manager for food brokerage
Mary M. "Mitzi" Herbers Schnell was a hard-working woman who enjoyed helping her husband and children.
She was a retired office manager for Ralph Davies Food Brokerage Co., Cincinnati, but held many different jobs throughout her life.
At one point, she helped her late husband, William Christian Schnell Sr., with bookkeeping and purchasing for his jewelry business in Covington.
"She was pretty soft-spoken, but she was confident," said a daughter, Susan Matthews of Cincinnati. "She worked well with others, and she was pretty sure of herself."
Mrs. Schnell, 84, formerly of Erlanger, died at 1:20 p.m. Monday at Hospice of Cincinnati.
Mrs. Schnell and her husband were married
for more than 50 years before he died in 1993.
She grew up in Latonia and made sure her children could take care of themselves before she devoted more time to a career, her daughter said.
"She was a good role model,' Mrs. Matthews said.
Other survivors include a son, William Chris Schnell of Fort Thomas; a daughter, Mary Mitzi Marley of Cincinnati; and eight grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Henry Church, Erlanger. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

Elouise Price Cason, 79, of Cynthiana, died Monday at her residence. She was a retired Bundy Corp. employee and a member of Berry United Methodist Church. Her husband, Walker H. Cason, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Steve "Bear" Cason of Lexington; daughters, Linda L. Bailey of Lexington and Jane Ann Burgess of Berry; a brother, Jack Price of Harrison County; a sister, Betty Sutherland of Lexington; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Virginia "Gini" Finke, 78, of Burlington, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include sons, Mike Finke of Cincinnati, Tim Finke of Hebron, George Finke, Ricky Finke and Terry Finke, all of Burlington, and Mark Finke of Union; daughters, Pat Zalla of Warsaw, Judy Kirkpatrick and Rose Ann Burcham, both of Burlington, and Pam Lasita of Union; sisters, Rosemary Wiebe of Villa Hills and Frances Price of Independence; 24 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Lucille Blanton Fraley, 68, of Cold Spring, died Monday at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church, Frankfort. Her husband, James C. Fraley, died in 1993.

Gary Laney, 59, of Hebron, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital West in Florence. He owned Laney and Associates, an insurance agency in Florence, and was a minister with New Covenant Fellowship, Florence.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Laney; sons, Gary Laney and Tony Laney, both of Elsmere, Scott Laney of Hickory, N.C., and Steve Laney of Granger, Ind.; daughters, Rebecca Collins of Fort Wright, Charity Loftin of Burlington and Christina Brown of Hebron; and 10 grandchildren.

Norman V. Lillie, 76, of Covington, died at 7:15 p.m. Monday at Mercy Hospital, Cincinnati. He was an antique dealer.

Mable Reinhardt, 82, of Independence, died at 10:10 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North Hospice in Covington. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Her husband, Fred Reinhardt, died in 1993.

Richard Wagner, 68, of Cold Spring, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital East in Fort Thomas. He was a tool engineer for American Standard, a former volunteer police officer for the City of Bellevue and a member of Campbell County Fish and Game Club.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Wagner; daughters, Sue Ann Owen of Fort Thomas and Tina Voss of Bellevue; sons, Richard Wagner of Cold Spring and Terry W. Wagner of Bellevue; sisters, Joyce Schreiber and Joan Yelton, both of Bellevue; and five grandchildren.

Margaret M. Weisenberger, 99, of Villa Hills, died at 10:15 a.m. Monday at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Peter C. Weisenberger, died in 1978.
