Daisy Mae Napier Wolfe, horse lover
Horseback riding was a passion for Daisy Mae Napier Wolfe and her family.
Mrs. Wolfe began riding in 1963 with her husband, Robert J. Wolfe.
The family used riding as a way to enjoy each other's company while getting fresh air and exercise.
"That was our main interest. Some people like bowling and that sort of thing, but we liked to ride," Mr. Wolfe said.
"It's a good family thing."
Mrs. Wolfe, 74, of Cold Spring, died at 11:27 p.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.
She was a retired seamstress with Hyde Park Clothes and a member of both the Northern Kentucky and Bluegrass saddle clubs in Melbourne.
Mrs. Wolfe was born in Cincinnati. She spent most of her life in Fort Thomas.
Spending time with friends and family was always a priority for her.
"She was very easygoing and always willing to help people," her husband said.
Mrs. Wolfe played euchre and other card games at a saddle club and later in a senior citizens group. The card games were another way for her to enjoy others' company, Mr. Wolfe said.
She and her husband had been married
since 1946.
Other survivors include a son, Robert W. Wolfe of Melbourne; a daughter, Diana Lynn Strassel of New Iberia, La.; a brother, Robert Napier of Covington; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at Alexandria Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin there at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Entombment will be in Floral Hills Mausoleum, Taylor Mill.
Stanley P. Brinkman, 90, of Covington, died at 3:25 a.m. Wednesday at Rosedale Manor, Latonia. He was a manager of the bowling alley at the Latonia American Legion post. His wife, Anna C. Wagner Brinkman, and a son, Jerry Brinkman, both preceded him in death.
Survivors include daughters, Lois Rolfson and Margie Kennedy, both of Fort Wright; a brother, Justin Brinkman of Florida; sisters, Margaret Tranter of Burlington and Ethel Harlow of Covington; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Agnes Church, Fort Wright. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.
Sue Caudill Dearing, 56, of Covington, died Monday at her home. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Dearing; sons, Steven Michael Dearing of Covington and Jeremy William Thomas of Grant County; and a brother, Clyde Caudill of Emma.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Garrett. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Davidson Cemetery, Ivel. Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, is handling arrangements.
Judith A. Hagan, 62, of Latonia, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
Arrangements are pending at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia.
Gary L. Hensley Sr., 49, of Newport, died Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Hensley; a son, Gary Hensley Jr. of Newport; daughter, Katherine Hensley of Taylor Mill; brothers, Orville Hensley of Cincinnati and Larry Hensley of Newport; sisters, Thelma Webster and Betty Murray, both of Lexington; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.
Don A. Huesing, 72, of Florence, died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a salesman with Smith Transfer Trucking Co.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Huesing; a daughter, Donna Richardson of Demossville; a son, Jeffery Huesing of Jenson Beach, Fla.; sisters, Dorothy Klaine of Corbindale, Fla., and Mary Jean Koors of Fort Mitchell; a brother, Bill Huesing of Fort Thomas; and five grandchildren.

John Huntelmann, 72, of Camp Springs, died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired butcher with Blue Grass Quality Meats, Crescent Springs, and a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Fort Mitchell and Alcoholics Anonymous.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy A. Hodeck Huntelmann; a son, Chuck R. Huntelmann of Lakeside Park; daughters, Marlene Schlarmann of Erlanger, Katy Cleymeyer of Washington, D.C., Lisa Huntelmann of Florence, Maria McCausland of Camp Springs and Teresa Huntelmann of Camp Springs; sisters, Christa Drees of Fort Mitchell, Maria Doedtmann of Lorup, Germany, and Anni Vogel of Esterwegen, Germany; a brother, Willy Huntelmann of Lorup; and 11 grandchildren.

William Scott Mastin Jr., 55, of Latonia, died at 9:14 p.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was a retired meat cutter with Heringer Meats in Covington, an employee of NSG Janitorial at Fidelity Investments in Taylor Mill, and a member of Holy Cross Church in Latonia.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene E. Stolz Mastin; sons, Kenneth W. Mastin, Brian J. Mastin and Douglas J. Mastin, all of Covington; a brother, David A. Mastin of Latonia; and two grandchildren.

Fred "Rudy" Moser Jr., 74, of Crestview Hills, died at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. He was a retired sales and service representative with AmChem Products Inc. in Philadelphia, a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Fort Mitchell and a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Jean C. Moser; a brother, Joseph Moser of Fort Mitchell; and sisters, Helen Vocke of Lakeside Park, Janie Rakel and Carole Foltz, both of Edgewood.

E. Margaret Snell, 91, of Florence, died at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West in Florence. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Rowan Snell, died in 1977. A son, Ronald G. Snell, died in 1994.
Survivors include sisters, Lillian Farmer and Alleyne Farmer, both of Wyoming, Ohio; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church, Jonesville. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Catchen Funeral Home, Elsmere, and from 11:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Jonesville Cemetery.
