Elizabeth C. Stephens, owned a general store
Elizabeth Craig Stephens was a bundle of energy who once owned and operated the Rabbit Hash General Store, drove a school bus and delivered mail.
Mrs. Stephens also raised her two children, was a good wife and friend and managed to keep her sense of humor no matter what she was doing, said her daughter, Patsy McGuire of Erlanger.
"Mother was the kind of parent you enjoyed having," Mrs. McGuire said.
"If you needed something, she was there. She was a helper, and a very good helper."

She was a retired school bus driver for the Boone County Board of Education, a former substitute rural mail carrier for the Burlington Post Office, and the former owner and operator of the Rabbit Hash General Store along with her husband, Clifford Stephens, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Stephens' parents began operating the Rabbit Hash General Store in 1919, and Elizabeth sold goods from an early age, her daughter said. The family kept the store until 1979, when they sold it, Mrs. McGuire said.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Stephens drove a school bus for 38 years and later delivered mail for another 10 years, her daughter said.
Her mother treated children with respect, and they in turn respected her, Mrs. McGuire said.
"My mother drove a school bus for a long time. There are a lot of children from then who would remember her," Mrs. McGuire said.
"Mother was a little woman, but she was always busy."
