Tillie E. Vesper Hurm, played organ at St. Thomas Church
Tillie E. Vesper Hurm leaves memories of a jovial person who always cared about others.
"People always tell me they miss her smile and her giggle," said Mrs. Hurm's daughter, Ruth Martin Bennett.
Mrs. Hurm, 90, formerly of Fort Thomas, died Thursday morning at Whitley Place in Westborough, Mass.
For many years, Mrs. Hurm was the organist at St. Thomas Church in Fort Thomas. She was both a volunteer and a profes sional at the church organ, hav ing retired about a decade ago, her daughter said.
Though Mrs. Hurm had moved to Massachusetts, she wasn't forgotten by her friends and neighbors in Fort Thomas, Mrs. Bennett said.
"When they mentioned Mom's name, they always smiled and recalled her fondly," she said.
A native of Newport, Mrs. Hurm was active in a wide range of activities at St. Thomas, including the St. Thomas School Parent-Teacher Association; the St. Thomas Rosary Society and Altar Society and St. Thomas Over 55 Club.
Her husband, Anthony B. Hurm, died in 1994.
Survivors include daughters, Rita Bahlman of Columbus, Ohio, M. Rosalie Hentz of North borough, Mass., and Ruth Mar tin Bennett of Fort Thomas; a son, Raymond A. Hurm of Phoe nix; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas Church, Fort Thomas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Muehlenkamp- Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas, with prayers at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Ste phen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
Sandra Joy Hendrickson Bane, 58, of Maysville, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital East in Fort Thomas. She was a retired rural mail carrier and a member of Sand Hill Christian Church, Lewis County.
Survivors include sons, Troy Bane and Todd Bane, both of Tollesboro; her mother, Florence Hendrickson Harrison of West Union, Ohio; a sister, Betty Penrod of Highland Heights; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Barbour and Son Funeral Home, Tollesboro, with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Mason County.
Paul A. Bennett, 70, of Cold Spring, died Thursday at St. Luke Hospital East in Fort Thomas.
He was a retired military po liceman for the Army; a retired security consultant for VA Medical Center, Cincinnati; and a vet eran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Edward Boers Post No. 153, Dayton and Bellevue.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Bennett of Cold Spring; stepdaughters, Pat Mendell and Janet Heck, both of Cold Spring, Sue Nolan and Nancy Mendell Baker, both of Fort Thomas, and Mary Kratz of Union; stepsons, Jim Mendell of Grants Lick and Steve Mendell of Johnson City, Texas; a brother, Jobie Bennett of Mansfield, Ohio; sisters, Bernadine Peters of Mansfield, Ohio, and Blanch Bennett of Columbus, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Radel Funeral Home, Highland Heights, with visitation from 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
Donna June Carmean Cooper, 63, of Brooksville, died Friday at Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg.
She was a retired teacher for Bracken County Schools and a member of Brooksville Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Phillip Cooper; daughters, Dawn Cooper Finn of Minerva, Dina Cooper Stitt of Maysville and Danielle Cooper Wills of Elsmere; a son, Darren Cooper of Brooksville; her mother, Mildred May Rambaugh Bush of Jeffersonville, Ohio; brothers, James Carmean and Doug Carmean of Hillsboro, Ohio, and Gary Carmean of Kennesaw, Ga.; a sister, Susie Teegarden of New Mexico; eight grandchildren; and one step grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Brooksville Christian Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Brooksville, and from 12:30 p.m. until time of services Monday at the church. Burial will be in Brooksville Cemetery. Violet E. Costa, 84, of Alexandria, died at 2:45 p.m. Friday at St. Luke Hospital East in Fort Thomas. Arrangements are pending at Alexandria Funeral Home.
Lillian A. Hart, 65, of Falmouth, died Friday at her residence.
She was a retired state executive director for ASCS Department of Agriculture, Lexington.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Falmouth; past president of the Republic Women's Club; former delegate to the Republican National Convention; founder of Habitat for Humanity in Pendleton County; and former member of Kincaid Regional Theatre Board of Directors.
Survivors include her husband, David L. Hart; a daughter, Diane H. Atchison of Lexington; a sister, Kathryn Moore of Lexington; brothers, Tommy Ammerman and Bobby Ammerman, both of Falmouth, and Terry Ammerman of Lexington; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church, Falmouth.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, and from 10 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church.
Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Pendleton County.

Mary Jane Reverman, 82, of Fort Mitchell, died at 1:25 a.m. Friday at Highland Care Center in Fort Thomas.
She was a homemaker. Her husband, Elmer Reverman, died in 1977.
Survivors include a daughter, Patty Nolan of Erlanger; a brother, Billy Tuttle of Cincinnati; sisters, Betty Henderson of Fort Mitchell, Vada Beals of Muskogee, Okla., and Patty Richards of Covington; and one grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia, with visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday.
Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

Loretta C. Schuchter, 84, of Melbourne, died at 4:38 a.m. Friday at St. Luke Hospital East in Fort Thomas.

Donald L. Schuh, 73, of Cold Spring, died Thursday in Hilton Head, S.C.

Elizabeth Stewart, 84, of Carrollton, died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at her residence.
She was a homemaker and a member of Worthville United Pentecostal Church.
Her husband, Woodrow Stewart, died in 1968. A son, William Stewart, also preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Westrick of Oviedo, Fla.; sons, Woodrow Stewart of Oakley, Calif., and Robert J. Stewart, Ronald G. Stewart and Michael Lee Stewart, all of Carrollton; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Carrollton IOOF Cemetery.
Gladys F. Thoss, 90, of Latonia, died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday at Gallatin Health Care Center in Warsaw.
She was a retired self-employed seamstress and a member of Holy Cross Church, Latonia, and Latonia Five Corner Social Club. Her husband, Joseph Thoss, died in 1981.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia, with visitation at 9 a.m.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.
Nell Elizabeth Ogden Worthington, 84, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Northern Kentucky, died Wednesday in Memphis.
She was a teacher, and verified maps for the Navy during World War II.
Her husband, William Frederick Worthington, died in 1992.
Survivors include daughters, Ann Russ of Carlsbad, Calif., Lee Rowe of Colliersville, Tenn., and Kay Smitherman of Lewisville, N.C.; a brother, Emmett Lee Ogden of Carrollton; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
