Jane Kellerman, worked at Boone library
Jane C. Lawson Kellerman always loved to read, so it didn't surprise her family when she began volunteering at the Lents branch of the Boone County Public Library in Hebron.
The work was very satisfying to her, and she was soon hired as a regular part-time employee. She was well-liked by the library's members and staff, said her husband, Mike Kellerman.
'She liked dealing with the public, and she loved to read,' he said. 'She was a voracious reader.'

Before working at the library, Mrs. Kellerman worked for 13 years as a sales clerk at McAlpin's in Crestview Hills.
She decided she had enough of the retail business and started volunteering at the library three years ago, sorting and shelving books. Soon, she was asked to take a part-time job, issuing books at the check-out desk.
She then went on to take a position as a library technician, bar-coding books and doing other tasks, her husband said.
A lover of historical novels and other books, Mrs. Kellerman passed her love for reading on to her three sons.
She and her husband were married
33 years. She was an excellent mother and wife, Mr. Kellerman said.
'She was determined to get things done, very caring, had lots of compassion,' he said.
