Farewell to our own dear mother whose voice is hushed in death
When Jesus called our mother home,
Death stopped her mortal breath
Angels bore her spirit beyond this world of woe,
She's gone to live with Jesus in rest for evermore.

Rev. Father Aloysius Delabar
John M. Delabar of 1555 Seventh street, received a telegram from Asheville, N. C. today conveying the sad news of the death of his brother, Rev. Aloysius Delabar which occurred at the St. Joseph hospital at Asheville, N. C. The body was shipped to the St. Leo Military College at St. Leo, Florida for burial.
Since graduating from St. Leo’s Military College some years ago, Father Delabar had held the position of instructor in the college and also looked after several missions near that place. Father Delabar had been ill for some time with lung trouble and had spent the past year at Asheville in the hope of recovering his health, and had almost recovered when he was stricken with Spanish influenza which caused his death. Father Delabar is a former Scioto county boy, having spent most of his life near Wheelersburg. Since locating in the South he spent most of his vacations in this city and during the absence of Rev. J. E. McGuirk he acted as substitute pastor of Holy Redeemer church. He was a brilliant young priest with a promising future, and his passing away will cause genuine sorrow to all who knew him.
